I booked someone to detail my car and paid the $150.26 fee. After paying, I received a message saying that the person "hasn't accepted this request" and I should choose another pro. I selected another pro, was charged an additional $150.26, and I received another message saying that person did not accept and to choose another pro. I had been charged over $300 and they wanted me choose another pro? The text messages I received from them all say "This is an automated message. Please DO NOT REPLY." Their emails were sent from noreply@pandahub. I was starting to think this was a scam, but I did eventually get in touch with someone, who later refunded me all the money. In the meantime, I went with another company who showed up on time, did a great job, and only asked for payment after I was satisfied with the work. I had a great experience with Panda Wash. I have three little kids and I let the *entire* winter go by without so much as a vacuum. The inside of my car was hideous, embarrassing, and more than I could deal handle with my little hand vac. Someone on my neighborhood listserve recommended Panda Wash, so I looked them up online. The appointment was easy to schedule, the guys came on time, and they worked hard for two hours on my car. And it looks amazing --even better than I expected. Also, the fact that this is a mobile service is kind of a miracle. I work from home, so the fact that they came to me and worked while I was working meant that I lost zero work time AND I didn't have to spend two hours of my life sitting in a dingy lobby with spotting wifi waiting for my car to detailed. Mike and Brandon worked on my car and my boyfriend's car this afternoon. My boyfriend found a really good deal on LivingSocial. I got the Panda Protector Package while my boyfriend got the Giant Panda Exterior Detail. Both guys did an excellent job on both cars! For the past 3 years, I commuted from Arlington to White Marsh for work. It really took a toll, especially on the interior of my car. They worked their magic and now the interior of my car looks like brand new!! They also did a wonderful job on the exterior of my car! It is shiny and looking very nice!! The tires and rims are also back to looking great again! Overall, I will definitely go to them for another detail in the future and I highly recommend them! :) They arrived really early for the appointment and worked on my car and my boyfriend's car at the same time. To help, my boyfriend and I took out all the loose items inside our cars, including all the items in the trunk. It took about 2 hours for them to clean both cars. AVOID & BEWARE Do a brick & mortar service NOT PANDA (that waxes & has electric detailing tools inside a heated garage - REALLY - read any quality wax/compound bottle & see if it says will work in freezing conditions...)... I brought a detail package thru Living Social. I liked the ease of booking online. Their regular prices are comparable to other mobile detail companies I have used in the past. At the time i booked by appt, I was thinking if they did a good job I would definitely use them again given the ease of scheduling. The day of the appt, I got an email reminder for my appt later that afternoon. About 5 minutes later, Mike called an left a message stating my appt was canceled and to call back to reschedule. I was never told to re-schedule online. There was no reason left. I know it was raining that morning but it was suppose to stop my noon (which it did) and my appt was at 1pm. I called back that afternoon and left a message asking to be called to reschedule. I did not hear from them for a week. I called again and got voice mail. I left a message asking to be called back or I would request a refund. I got a call back in 10 minutes. The guy proceeded to say the appt was canceled cause of the rain which I understood. He then states he spoke with me last week and I wanted to reschedule but I would do it online. This conversation never happened. He then argues with me that he did speak with me. I tried to explain to him that I am not sure who he spoke with but it was not me and I am the only one with access to my phone. They knocked it out of the box fo sho!!!!!! $50 inside and out spic and span!!!!! Just showed up on time at 11AM and in one hour transformed my car into the pristine machine I bought in April of 2011. They even got that hard to reach Lizzy the dog vomit between the seats :) I highly recommend these guys as they come to your work place and are as professional as can be. OMG I bought a livingsocial deal for an express detail and the outcome was mindblowing. First the online scheduling was very easy. I got a confirmation a day before that they would arrive at 2p. Mike and his partner were there 2pm to start work. I was late but he was gracious enough to wait for me. Anyway they slaved over my filthy car for 3hrs getting every corner of the car. The job was done so meticulously that I was astonished. When I went into the car, I really thought this was the car I bought 6 yrs. ago. Mike and Brandon literally just left 6 minutes ago and I HAD to review them on Yelp. They did an excellent job. They arrived on time and were very professional. I had a voucher for the red panda deal. My car was a hot mess. Now you can't even tell my 3 and 6 year old niece and nephew drew crayons on my seats or spilled drinks or peanuts or chips... I was worried that they would not accept my voucher since it was not printed out (based on another review) but Mike simply asked me to pull it up on my phone. It took about 2 hours (I was not worried about the time). I am very happy with my car. So happy that I felt bad I used a voucher. The full price is definitely worth it. I will use them again in a few months for a touch up. read more

I bought a livingsocial for panda wash in September and scheduled their first available appointment for mid-Nov. On the day of my appointment, I stayed home from on the day of my appointment and there was no show. I called him later to inquire and he said I needed to send him a text in order to reschedule the appointment. Despite asking for a promise that he would call me back the same day as my text, there was no response. I called again several days later and there was no answer. I called again, and he answered saying that we would not have time for another two months. After many phone calls and reminders, I gave up! Ultimately, I ended up wasting nearly 2 hours of my time trying to make an appointment with this guy, during which time I could have done the best possible car wash on my car myself. Perhaps this guy was ok when he started, but obviously now his business is getting ahead of him. I am now trying to get my money back from livingsocial. I had my car detailed yesterday and I couldn't be happier about my experience with this company! They arrived at 9:15 after giving me a window of 9:00-9:30, so we started off great. Both of the men who arrived said hello and chatted for a minute before they began working on my car. I left them with my keys and went back in the house. They worked quickly, but thoroughly and finished before the time they quoted. My car looked awesome! Some notes about their service: -You must book online. -They will not wash your car in the rain or snow and you must reschedule online if they have to cancel. - They have a 30 minute start time window to compensate for traffic and/or travel time. -They have their own water supply, but a hose and an outlet are helpful(though not necessary) I will certainly buy another detail from this company! read more

I was able to get an appointment on short notice and Mike came to my office (south of BWI). We were involved in a hit-and-run a few months ago, which left a large black paint transfer smudged along the entire side of our shiny white SUV. We asked Panda Wash if they might be able to get it off and for only $40 more than the cost of our detail package, they DID! I'm so happy! They also managed to get some paint splatter off our wheel wells from driving through a unbeknownst-to-us wet paint spill in the road. We've used them a couple times now and I highly recommend them -- prices are good, the convenience of them coming to us is awesome, they arrive on time, and the results are great! read more

Just used these guys for the first time last week, and they were great. I'll definitely use them again, even if I don't get the LivingSocial discount next time. I mean, $65 is hardly too much to have someone come to your house and detail your car... $65 isn't too much to have someone do that wax job alone. The wax job is super nice! The only complaint I have is that they didn't vacuum out my trunk. My trunk's not dirty, but if it had been, that would have been annoying. Still, they did such a great job with the rest of the car, and they were friendly, fast and on-time, so I'm rounding it up from 4.5 to 5, but CHECK YOUR TRUNK before they leave. Just in case that's a regular brain burp for them. Oh, bonus - my car is clean, but it doesn't small like a vanilla bean pooped in it. I hate it when detailers "freshen up" my car with scented sprays. So thanks for not spraying perfume in my car, Panda Wash! read more

I bought a LivingSocial Deal and had the Express Panda Detail for my SUV. Their online booking was convenient and easy. They have dates/time slots and you pick the one that's available. Then you enter where your call will be for the appt. They send you a confirmation email. Mike and his colleague called ahead and came to where my car was for the appt. They were professional and took about 1-1.5hrs to detail the car. Final product was as expected. Interior was as clean as it gets! Exterior was basic wash and and glass was squeaky clean. They even got out the huge battery-spill stain & the Turkey dinner mess I've had for a 1/2-1 year! It looked almost like when I 1st bought the car 6yrs ago. Of course there's some stains/scratches that's there for good, but the appearance of them were greatly reduced. The backseat where the kids left their messes and every cubby was cleaned. Now - I hesitate at the full price for the service, but considering the hassle of trying to make appts with other detailing companies (assuming anyone ever picks up the phone, email you back or make any attempts to do business with you or act like they care)...I'd consider it & would likely use again even w/o a coupon (but they have monthly deals on their website!). read more

We got a deal through Amazon Local several months ago and finally got around to using it on 8/22. You know this is a real review because it rained all day on the 23rd. Mike did both of our vehicles by himself in about 3 hours total. Our 3 year old Fiesta and Ranger were in need of some love. My little car was especially grungy on the inside. We have a beagle who sheds and smears his nose all over the place, a teenager whose friends always seem to need rides when it's muddy or salty outside, and yours truly who HATES to vacuum out the car. Mike took our dusty, crusty, smelly cars and made them better than new. Gorgeous work! He made a point to call me ahead of time and showed up precisely on time. Professional and courteous. I am super OCD about my car. Found them on Living Social and was very happy. The website scheduler was down so I exchanged several emails with the owner. We were able to work out a good time to come. He texted me the next day and said he was in the area that day and could he come that day? I was home so I told him no problem. The car looked FABULOUS and I didn't even get the top of the line cleaning. I am not sure what more they could have done to make it sparkle! Some people may not have been cool with the reschedule, but it worked out. I know it is tough working around technological issues, and this is their busy time. Glad I went with them. read more

However, I'm giving them one star for the fact that they have cancelled twice on me and when I tried to call the number on their website, a Verizon recording tells me that the number has been changed. Very unprofessional not to reach out and try to reschedule appointments. I had made my appointment via their website and received confirmation. I rearranged my day so that my car could get cleaned and I'm VERY disappointed by the fact that they didn't show and didn't bother to reach out to let me know that the appointment needed to be rescheduled. I just got my SUV detailed by them. I purchased the Ultimate detail package which is their best offering. I purchased it from a local deal site for about 1/2 price. So, my expectation was not high. But when I saw the results, I was not only extremely disappointed, but was also shocked! The job done was sub-standard, worse than a regular hand wash & wax. I never thought anybody could do such a pathetic job with detailing! There was so much dirt and grime left at various spots that I had to spend good 1/2 day cleaning the left overs. Even worse, they have made so many scratches on my SUV that it is now probably worth a thousand dollars less than what it was before! I really purchased this thinking I can enhance the value of the car by a few hundreds, by spending $200 (detailing+headlight restoration), as I am getting ready to sell. I purchased a scratch removal product in attempt to salvage the damage caused by them. They are very unprofessional too - they didn't even have enough water to start with. As my outdoor faucet wasn't working, I had confirmed with them beforehand that they wouldn't need anything from me. Still they didn't care to make sure they had all they needed to do the job. When I showed them several spots that were not cleaned, they just wiped off those areas and finished the job, without even checking the whole car for spots like that. For the scratches, they argued that they were already there. No apology for the ridiculously poor job done. I'll not recommend them to anybody, even to my enemies. Be careful, specially if you are buying the detailing package from a local deal site. Spend your money elsewhere. You are better off not detailing your car, than getting it detailed by these people. read more

This company has THE WORST customer service that I have EVER EXPERIENCED and I will NEVER, EVER use their services again, thanks to their fine phone representative by the name of TODD! Todd is rude, arrogant, and should never be allowed to answer the phones as the front line representation of a professional company. I purchased a deal through HeyIt'sHalfOff.com, because the PandaWash services were being advertised on a Fox45 news segment. The first issue was that the service I paid for, though it was being advertised as half off, was not truly half off. This was the case because PandaWash has three different price tiers for small, midsize, or larger sized vehicles, although my car is a small vehicle, the only option available for half off was on the price that the van's and larger cars are generally charged at. In any event, I thought $60 would still be a good deal so I went for it. On the day of my appointment, the gentlemen showed up 45 minutes early, (no big deal, at least they weren't late). Even though I had things to do, I allowed them to go ahead and start early since they were already here. FIRST BIG ISSUE, they used my GD water without ever even requesting my permission. THAT"S A PROBLEM, I've already paid you to supply your own water!! Second, once they left, an hour later THEY CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD A SECOND TIME, after I had already paid in advance for my services on last Friday when I booked through HeyIt'sHalfOff. I contacted this establishment to rectify the situation and I received a voicemail approximately 10 times consecutively. I call on the 11th time and I receive a very irate and rude answer on the other end from Todd! He immediately says, we're in a meeting and you've called 15 times, you need to leave a message! First of all, who the hell does he think he is, and what kind of professional speaks to its consumer in that manner. Second, when I informed him of his error, he tried to shift the blame to me by stating that I didn't give the driver the certificate. When I explained to the gentleman (and I use the term VERY LOOSELY) that I tried to give the driver my voucher and he specifically said that he didn't need it, he once again expressed that I should have given it to him to prevent the double charge. What kind of BS is that? I don't work for them, if that's the policy, then the driver should have known that. I immediately asked to speak with the owner and my request was refused, Todd never even asked who he was speaking to but yet he promised me that the owner would call me back. No wonder they have to advertise their services for half off. I imagine it's the only way that they can drum up any business with that type of person representing them on the front lines. I have every intention of contacting Fox News and informing them of my experience as well. They should not be promoting this type of establishment. I will never patronize them again. While I was happy with the overall job on my car, customer service is everything and they fail MISERABLY in that department. read more

I received a call at 2:53PM informing me that they would be 45 minutes late. An hour later I received a call telling me they could be to my house "soon". Calling seven minutes prior to an appointment to let someone know you're going to be late is completely inappropriate. I read through couple of reviews before paying via living social, some people had complained about scheduling, but I thought, I can manage that, but I was wrong!! I got a deal through living social, and got an appointment for a month later (this was the earliest available, but I can live with that if they provide exceptional service). On the day of appointment I called Mike in the morning to confirm that everything is on schedule (I was taking extra precautions to make sure everything is in place) and after getting confirmation, I waited patiently at the appointment time. 10 mins before the appointment time, I got a call from Mike that they cannot make it, can they schedule sometime after 6 or on early Monday morning (the irony is they have a cancellation fee if I cancel within 2 hrs of appointment time). I told them, I come to office at 9, and they can come at that time. That is the last time, I heard from them. Nobody bothered to call me or show up at the appointment time, and in spite of sending lot of emails, I didn't receive any response. At last, I had to ask for refund from living social. read more

I decided to try Panda Wash through an opportunity with Amazon Local. I prepaid for a voucher and made an appointment with the vender through their website, which was confirmed. The day before the appointment I received an e-mail reconfirming the appointment scheduled for 11 AM the next day. The next day no one showed up or called to say the appointment was delayed or cancelled. I left a voice message and e-mail to ask if the appointment was postponed or cancelled, but as of four days later I have not received a response except for an automated e-mail asking if I was satisfied with the job they did. This company appears to be a complete sham! They were a no-show for a scheduled appointment and when I tried to contact someone through the office phone number and company email, I got no reply. They call a week after the appointment regarding another appointment I had provided as a gift to someone else to say that they wanted to change the appointment. They again were a no-show. When I called the telephone number provided by the detailer (Mike), he acted like he didn't know who owned the company or what was going on. I repeatedly asked who I could speak to about this poor service and was told that the company is going through a transition. He never said who owns the company or even bothered to apologize. I purchased 2 deals through living social. I couldn't figure out how to enter my voucher when booking online (their website didn't give the option). I emailed them asking how to book. No response. I emailed a second time. By the time they responded, my voucher had expired. I tried booking the 2nd voucher but wanted to know if I could ask for an interior detail in addition to my voucher service. Again, I emailed and no response. This time, I figured I better book it before it expires. So I tried to book it and the earliest appt was THREE weeks out - you guessed it - one day after my voucher expiration. So I booked it anyway. Then emailed asking if they would accept the voucher one day after expiration since I had tried to correspond and book early. No response. I figured I'd just talk to them on the day of my detail. Guess what - they never showed! I had the online booking confirmation and everything. No one called. No one showed. Luckily, I was able to get a refund for both vouchers from living social (thank you Living Social!). read more

I would highly recommend this mobile car detailing service! We had to reschedule a few times because of the weather but I found the online scheduling system and e-mail appointment reminder very helpful. I would also like to comment that I found Mike Lucas and his team of detailers to be very nice, pleasant and professional. I asked and agreed to them using my water hose and electric at my home. Even though their van is capable of providing water and electric. They came to my home so I unlike another customer on her had no issues with their request. 'm very please with the detailing job on my 1996 Saturn. My old car was sparkling clean after three detailers spent 2 + hours on my car. I would say they took about 6 years off the age and look of my vehicle. The Living Social deal was well worth the expense and I hope they continue running these deals. I'm definitely going to be a repeat customer. Please remember if you obtain a vouch that's worth $210 detailing service to tip your service people accordingly.
