I came to picked up a family meal that serves 4-5 people, you get 3 entrees and 2 sides for about $35, which is not a bad deal! We pick the Walnut Shrimp, kung pao chicken and orange chicken as our entrees, and for the sides, we pick the noodles and fried rice! Both are great compliments to our entrees! I had to wait about 20 mins before I was out of there, cause all the entrees had to made fresh! I was there around 2 pm and it was pretty busy! We were fascinated by the history of Panda Express and decided to give it a go after almost a decade of ignoring this chain. Panda Express App-- I downloaded the app per recommendation, and surprising the app is pretty easy to use. Except when I went to pick up the food, the app showed the order is cancelled, but when I called the location to clarify, they said they got the order and have it prepped already! Staff were super nice and friendly on the phone and in person. Everyone was masked at least when I visited there twice via drive-thru. Now food wise, we expected worse and was pleasantly surprised. Original orange chicken-- the sourness was pretty strong, and it's actually not bad because it's not sickenly sweet like other Americanized Chinese orange chicken. Though the meat was a bit tougher and smaller than I'd liked. Beyond orange chicken-- this!! was really a pleasant surprise. I wasn't put off by the fake meat at all, and actually preferred this over the actual meat. The texture is softer and more tender, kind of like McD's chicken nuggets. Would totally order again! Black pepper Angus steak-- this was pretty salty, no other layers, and to me it was kinda bland/simplistic in terms of flavors. I'm not super impressed by this. Honey walnut shrimp-- this was also surprisingly good. Shrimp and coating are tender and sweetness is not overwhelming. I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised by how not sickeningly sweet these dishes are, which was typically my number one issue with Americanized Chinese food. Would definitely order again, especially since the kids can eat this too. Egg rolls-- this was really the biggest surprise. We all loved the egg rolls. The veggie ones were good and chicken ones were also good. It's light and crunchy on the outside, and not extremely thick or chewy like other egg rolls. The fried skin texture is exactly what I'd expect. Flavor was also light and on point. Not sure why the veggie ones came with two but the chicken one only had one. Chow mein-- this was drier than I'd liked, but my daughter really liked it. I liked that it has cabbage stir fried into it! Greens-- I actually really really liked this option. I thought it was just gonna be broccoli, but it has all sorts of vegetables including kale! Flavor was light but fresh which is great against the orange chicken sourness. Definitely would order this again. Fried rice-- this was OK, like chow mein, it's a bit dry but I think it's intentional to soak up the sauces. read more

this location always takes forever, so I placed an online order & went through the drive thru. still had to wait ten minutes after I got the text stating it was ready. when I got home I noticed they gave me the container for the bigger plate with a little portion of white rice and nothing else... how do you forget the meat altogether and other portion of rice when there's literally a specific container for it? lol then when I called it took another twenty minutes to even try to get a refund and they told me they're unable to?!!? she offered to give me the correct plate "for no extra charge" if i came back. you didn't give me what i paid for to begin with?! read more

Ever since they open this place has been nothing but disappointments one after an other one .. this place never has any food ready, either they make you wait because they are out of product or they just simply don't have it ready.. what makes me upset is just every single time I go is the same thing!! it's doesn't matter what day or time of the week they seem not to have what they offered in menu.. reason for bad review is just hoping they get it together and actually care about their business and have some kind of management if the do have a manager they need to maybe look into it.. hopefully you guys do well .. after all I promise my self not to come back to this place.. so good luck.. read more

The food is delicious at Panda Express, never disappoints me. However, the 2-star review for this particular restaurant is due to the poor customer service. I recently came back to the restaurant to use a credit that I had because of a previous order they messed up, but I didn't notice until I got home. When I was making the order with the credit, they asked for my name multiple times and even sighed at me while I was in the drive through. Acting as if I was highly inconveniencing them. Kinda unprofessional honestly, and I'd recommend driving a few extra minutes to the Libertyville location. read more

For being fairly new, this place needs to get it together. Order from there last night and was very disappointed. The plate I ordered was half beef and broccoli, and of that half order it had literally two pieces of beef in it. Being as I ordered super greens as my side, my order ended of being mostly a big styrofoam plate of steamed broccoli. Also, I had order from here when they first opened and had been impressed with the teriyaki chicken. Looking at it last night on my friends plate, it didn't even resemble the same thing. The food here is amazing. Consistently. Everytime I have ever been here or ordered ahead using the app, I have had to wait over 20 minutes for my food. The app will say "pick up in 15 minutes," and that's when I will arrive. However, every single time I have to wait an obnoxiously long time for my food.
