What it comes down to is the price of the food for the quality you receive. It is just not very satisfying food and your probably gonna pay anywhere from 10 to 20 dollars depending on food items and drinks but it's about what you might expect from a gas station in terms of quality. There is no reason to go here if you are in the Paseo Nuevo Mall when there is an excellent sushi place less then half a block away. You'll probably spend just as much but feel satisfied afterwards. read more

This Panda Express is in a prime spot. Right inside the Paseo Nuevo outdoor mall. Staff was friendly when they served us and the lady who seemed to be the supervisor on duty asked how our food was. The food was fresh and delicious. I randomly crave Panda Express and every time I go, I am always pleased! I will definitely be back to this location soon. read more

Even though there was a long line, the guests were being served quickly. All the food trays were full of freshly made menu items. The counter people taking my order were friendly, quick, asked me if I wanted to sample anything. I ordered 1/2 chow mein & 1/2 vegetables, mushroom chicken and grilled teri chicken. Pleasant employees who are always attentive and very on task. The place is always clean and cool inside with a/c. The service is super fast being that the workers are like automated robots. I understand the customer service is impersonal and lacking but you cant expect too much with a constant influx of customers. This place is always super busy but the wait still stays at a minimum. I thought maybe my first experience was a one-off but after experiencing the same thing last night and reading all these reviews, I know this was no fluke. At this point, I'm not even sure this review is worth writing because look at all these "we'll forward your feedback to management" comments that have been posted and has anything changed? Nope lol. The first time I came to this location, I kid you not, I waited so long to get to the register that I literally just walked out. My plate was already made and just... sitting there getting cold so I thought well I'm not gonna wait another 10 min to pay for food that will be cold by the time I get it. The workers looked totally frazzled and whoever the supervisor was definitely was never trained on workflow. Anyway. I went back last night thinking I wouldn't have the same experience and lo and behold, there was a line almost out the door, 3 people behind the counter switching up their stations after every customer (ie working register one second, then walking over to scoop rice and chow mein the next second, leaving multiple people just standing and waiting at the register to pay for their food). That ain't efficient workflow, pick a station and stick to it. There were multiple tables of people that had already paid but were still waiting on their food to be made (thought this was supposed to be fast food...?) they were out of multiple dishes, they kept having to ask the people in front of me if they could wait for whatever dish they just ordered. I also wanted to sample something they were out of. So I didn't bother asking them to make it for me, I didn't wanna wait. Joke's on me, it literally took me HALF AN HOUR from when I walked in, to when I drove out of the parking structure. I told the girl at the very beginning of the line I wanted a chicken egg roll with my plate. She didn't bother calling out that they needed to make more. By the time I got to the register, literally 15 min after I started my order, they couldn't give me the egg roll because nobody had bothered to make sure they were getting started and the cashier told me it would be another 7 min. After already waiting for half an hour?? Nah. No matter how bad the Orange chicken craving is, I'm never coming here again. Jan 25-Goleta overcharged on 2 meals- I went back Friday to tell them- First thing she said was I was off yesterday it wAS not me. which it was her. She tried to make me think she was right. I tried to explain but she would not listen and told me to keep my voice down because other people was hearing me- I told her GOOD , sorry but this is not a good way to do business. You can't imagine the disappointment I feel. The digestive gratification of a three-item meal - kung pao pork, pepper pork, egg rolls, washed down with a Dr. Pepper. My eyes set on my cookie. I frantically wrestle it out of the plastic. I expect some direction, some sign by which I'll navigate my life. Perhaps I'll learn that "A warm smile is testimony of a generous nature." I'll walk around smiling at strangers. I'll give an approving nod to those who smile back and I'll verbally lash those who don't. Perhaps I'll visit an elementary school. People watch on a playground bench. Or, my fortune might read, "A secret admirer will soon send you a sign of affection." I won't leave my seat at Panda until dinnertime when I order again. I'll bashfully peek out from whatever book I'm reading (probably something about the post-modern immigrant experience) to watch every man, woman and child who comes in, awaiting a sign of fondness. Just came in on a normal Sunday night and was stunned by the sheer incompetence of their worker at the front. The guy was touching all the food and had zero sense of urgency while doing it which led to a long line that could've been avoided if he was competent in any sense of the word.
