How are customers supposed to know to ask for a sauce that the employees don't even mention? 5 lumps of chicken is apparently an entree in one of their $12 bowls. I think it's bad management at this particular location because the portions seem alright over at the Santa Rosa one on Stony point. I'm a regular customer at this Panda Express and usually come two or three times a week because I live nearby. I have to say that the food is delicious, but unfortunately, the customer service has become a serious problem. I have had several uncomfortable experiences with a team member named Samantha, who is usually working at the front serving customers. Her attitude is consistently rude and aggressive. She rarely smiles or welcomes customers, and the way she handles the food often comes across as frustrated or even angry. I have personally seen her throw food into the containers while serving. What concerns me the most is that this does not seem to be directed only toward me. I have witnessed the same behavior toward the customer ahead of me and toward other customers waiting behind me. Whenever someone asks for a particular type of meat or vegetables, she often appears visibly annoyed or upset. As a regular customer, I find this very disappointing. I understand that working in customer service can be stressful, but customers should not feel uncomfortable simply for ordering and asking for the food they want. We pay for our meals, take the time to drive to the location, and deserve to be treated with basic courtesy and respect. On my most recent visit, the interaction was so unpleasant that it completely ruined my meal. I actually lost my appetite and could not finish eating. I can only imagine how many other customers may have had a similar experience. I work as an assistant manager at a café, and in my workplace, we understand that a friendly welcome, a respectful attitude, and good customer service are essential when working directly with customers. I believe the same standard should apply here. Again, the food is very good, but the service needs serious improvement. For Panda Express, I was actually impressed. Chicken was juicy and flavorful. Walnut shrimp was the same. Nothing seemed overcooked or oversteemed from the warmer. My partner and I stopped by around 7:30pm on a Wednesday night and had the most pleasant experience. The manager wearing black was extremely friendly, polite and funny. I really like Panda Express food, one will think all the franchises are the same, but they are not. This specific Panda Express in Rohnert Park is well taken care of. It's always clean and the food always looks fresh. They refill the containers of food often. The staff there is also very helpful, fast. Their line of work is a well oiled machine. One person takes the order, the next one gives you your entrees and the last one charges you. If you are picking up food, they have it ready and it's easy to pick up from there. I have done it during lunch time and I hardly have to wait. The lines of people in the afternoon- dinner time are long sometimes, but their procedure to serve food has gotten so good that the wait times are reasonable. read more
