Update: I frequently go to Panda Express. Customer service has become much better and it's usually good and prompt inside. It's also very clean inside and it doesn't feel too rushed. I usually order double orange chicken and lo mein now. It's always very good! For the franchise itself, I do wish that they'd add more sauce and onions to the fried rice and also more options, such as sticky rice as a side, along with egg rolls. However, these are only suggestions for future menu options that I feel would greatly improve growth in all Panda Express restaurants everywhere. I told the server what I wanted and another person served all of one entree into multiple drive thru boxes. So, we stood in line, chose another entree which they placed out full only to watch as they served all our second choice into drive thru boxes. Best Chinese food in Hattiesburg, for better or worse; there aren't a lot of options. But there's a lot of good here. The food is often fresh. Sometimes there are waits, yes, but it's because they are making it fresh! There are also clearly labeled items so you know which choices are healthy. I've had great experiences here with the staff being friendly to me and my family. Pro tip: when you get a plate, you can do a 50/50 on your side. Every time I come to this specific location, it's always a hit or miss with service. Overall, the food is always delicious. The recipes stay consistent and it's delicious. My concern is always with the staff and the service they provide. Today was just awful. I got off work and wanted to stop by real quick for some dinner. There were 2 more people in front of me but it took them 17 minutes to start taking my order. No kidding. I timed it. When I began ordering, they were out of chow mein and Sichuan chicken. I've been to this Panda Express a couple of times before but always dined in. I never had a problem. Not one. It's one of those places that if the kids pick it for dinner I don't roll my eyes and sigh. That being said, I rolled up to the drive thru tonight because our church was doing a fundraiser with them. I order food for my 3 kids and drive to the window to pay. I pay and they give us our drinks and ask me to pull up to the thank you sign to wait for our food. And wait we did. For 18 minutes I watched people walk in and out with food and 2 people who ordered behind us in the drive thru got food. I was beginning to get pretty annoyed when the dude with the food walks up and says "Here you go." Like I had only been parked for a minute of two. No apology. I ask him what happened and he said there was an issue with the orange chicken sauce. What? Also, not once when I ordered, paid or waited, did anyone ever mention that there would be a delay caused by an issue with orange chicken sauce. Seriously, I would have ordered something else. I have places to be besides parked in front of the thank you sign at Panda. We ordered at 520 pm and it wasn't even that busy. I didn't get food until 538 pm. We visited on September 20, 2022. I called today (9/21) to ask for a manager, and was told there was none. I asked to leave him a message, and was told she didn't know when he would be in the store. Apparently, according to the PIC (Person in Charge) for the day, management is only in the store once per day, and only for a few minutes, and returning calls from customers is just not one of his many important duties outside of the store. What I would've expressed to management: We were told to pull around from the drive thru to the front door to wait (15 minutes) for the food we were told would take 2-3 minutes to prepare. Ours was the second car in the queue when we pulked around, and my car blocked one of only two handicapped parking spaces. I pulled as close as I could to the car in front of me to ensure someone could get into it. Soon, there were six cars in the line, blocking all the spaces. Finally, an employee came out with ALL SIX orders. Clearly, their only concern is getting the money and customers out of their window. When I pulled out of the drive thru, there was no one behind us, and when we FINALLY pulled away the drive thru was empty. If EVERYONE has to wait, EVERYONE can do it in the drive thru, and the handicapped parking isn't blocked. When I sad this to the "PIC," she said "We do that because management told us to." Recently I've read some of the other reviews regarding Panda Express about the service quality and time it takes to get the food. I have went back there just to get a fresh opinion of them and taking into account that the service was just average and there was a wait time, the food was absolutely exceptional. I waited around 15 minutes for the teriyaki chicken to be finished and an employee took it out to the car to me, she was very nice although it was only a short interaction. The employee who was taking the orders was not rude but just merely was not very enthusiastic which did not bother me because I've seen him work there many times and I'm sure that he has off days. I remember an occasion in which he was also very kind so I feel that as a reoccurring customer I can safely say that Panda Express in Hattiesburg is one of the best chain restaurants to go to. If you are trying to eat healthy or are just concerned with the quality of food at fast food restaurants, Panda Express no doubt is the place to go. If you have around 10-15 minutes in case they have to make your food FRESH then I highly recommend it. 10/10 read more

First time for me here and it was everything I thought it would be. The workers were nice the food was great and the dining area was super clean. I really like the bench seating because the cushions don't let you sink to the floor. They had plenty of great options to choose from and didn't hesitate to offer samples to ensure that you got what you wanted. I have always liked Panda Express so I go there lot. The food is always good and the servings are usually pretty large. The location has good parking and is in a nice spot, close to other businesses in the area. My only complaint is that at least half of my visits require me to wait while they fix more food. It doesn't seem to matter what I order or what time of day I show up, I frequently have to wait for more food to be prepared. The online ordering option helps the eliminate this a bit except for the times my food still hasn't been prepared when I arrive. (Which seems to defeat the point of online ordering). Other than that I will continue to go, but never if I'm in a big rush. read more

After getting called in before I had a chance to eat lunch, I used the app to place an order with this location. I received confirmation and told my order would be delivered in 45 minutes. An hour later, I checked the app and it showed as delivered. Huh?! Nope! I called the location and was asked who the delivery was to be handled by because they don't deliver and he had no idea what was going on, I could call back in 3 hours and speak to the manager. Called corporate, apparently they have a lot of complaints because I was on hold 20 minutes, only to find out that my order (which was supposedly delivered at 4:16pm from the app) was NOT delivered because Door Dash didn't have a driver available. Of course my card was charged, but NOBODY felt any urgency what do ever to let me, the customer, know that my order was not coming. This is the third and final issue I have had with Panda Express in three weeks, all three times I called corporate and at least my card was credited back.
