Orange & Beijing baby!

I have been to dozens of Pandas all across the west coast, and it's always hit or miss. The meat is overdone or dry, or has been sitting there for a while. I gotta give 5 stars WAY up for this location. The food was PERFECT. I was so impressed, I had to review it here on Yelp. Keep up the good work Panda Grass Valley!

Eating in our car as I guess they are getting rid of their patio. Pup is in back seat.

Food as good as any Panda Express. What was disappointing is we chose this place for the patio. We came into town with our dog. The patio chairs were stack and locked. Hubs was told.... no we couldn't use the patio. No we couldn't pull chairs out of restaurant to eat outside. No they wouldn't unlock the patio chairs. They didn't even have the key. They are getting rid of their patio. Have a nice day. So we found a shandy spot and ate in our car.

No meat all broccoli

Horrible service, and tiny portions of dry old food. Same ambiance as every other panda...

Fast food, but edible fast food. In a shopping center so not much for ambiance.

I went here on a whim because it had a good Yelp score. Glad we did. Casual place, friendly staff…read more Self serve fountain drinks for refills. Menu is not overwhelming so you know everything should be pretty good. Ordered the Smoldering burger with extra patty, the nut burger, kids plain burger (cheese not included and is extra--didn't add it here) (comes with chips and fountain drink), regular dog with cheese, and 2 order of fries. Came out to Bout $65 tax included. Everything is made to order. You can taste the freshness. The patties on the burger are generous. I mean the kids burger is a 1/4 lb patty. I believe it looks to be the same with the other burgers. Even if I just stuck to a single patty, it would not have felt like the bread was overpowering due to the bacon and other toppings on the burger. The burger was dang good. It looked and tasted like a $15 burger (more like $19 since I added an extra patty for $3.80). Just wish fries were included at this price point. The surprise here is the vegetarian Nut burger. This thing was flavorful. Good mouth feel and satisfying full of flavor. If I was mistakenly given this instead of a real burger I would be ok with it. Some people may not like the texture--as it is nutty, but its not too bad. Fries were fries, but using their house made ketchup for it along with the burger just enhances it. Didn't try the hot dog, but it was finished so I'm assuming it was fine. Only gripe was my smoldering burger seemed to be cooked too much as it started to get on the drier side. Not totally well done, but would have been better just if taken off a little sooner. Maybe the cook just lost track of time on this one. Definitely coming again when in the area!

There's more natural flavors to the food than MacDonald's or Burger King. But for the price, I…read moreexpected more and better. I ordered the week"s special which was a burger with brie. Small burger. The ingredients were minimal, from the size of the pattie to the amount of brie. I hardly tasted the brie. The fries were thin cut and soft and too salty, no crispiness at all. The shakes are overpriced. They ask for tips but it's self service. You order with the cashier, get your food at the counter...Just like MacDonald's or Burger King.

When the Pasty Shack in Sacramento closed this week, we weren't sure if we could find any…read morecomparable as our family had been buying pasties there for over 60 years. We checked on Yelp to see who had the best pasties within 100 miles! Marshalls pasties was the first one that came up. We drove up there today and talk about not being disappointed! The pasties are unbelievably delicious. We bought four vegetarian pasties to bring home and two of the apple. We froze the vegetarian and ate the apple ones for dessert, which was really our dinner since we were still full from lunch! We would've bought more, but they were out of the beef pasties. We will call a day or two ahead to make sure they have them. The service was terrific. Three generations work there and they are all so nice and helpful. And the woman that waited on us had a great sense of humor which we loved! There are a couple of tables and then three chairs at the window. We sat at the window so we could people watch. It would be a big mistake to go to Grass Valley and not stop in there for lunch or for takeout.

This was a very good pastie. Now, don't get me wrong, I am a pastie connoisseur and grew up eating…read morepasties in Michigan. Both my grandma and my mother would make pasties and we ate them every Christmas Eve dinner. I know good pasties. Was this the best I've ever had?...no way. Pros: -crust was excellent and this is one of the most important parts. - well flavored and seasoned Cons: -too much potato -needs carrots and/or rutabaga -needs onion I'm a bigger fan of diced beef rather than ground, but that's just a personal taste. Overall, there aren't a lot of options in the Northern CA or NV area for pasties so, I can recommend this place. Compared to Northern Michigan pasties, it was pretty good, and that's what I use as my litmus test.

Eclectic ,funky, artsy interior with original art pieces and unique furnishings…read more We sat outside with friends who have been coming here for twenty years and let them do the ordering. The heat lamps were on in the enclosed area out front and they have cushions for the wrought iron chains and a shelf of blankets for customers to use. Complimentary Chilean bread rolls brought to the table right away with garlic herb butter, salsa verde sauce (chimicuri like) so good, made the old fashioned way with pork fat. Calamari Frito, Cajun seasoning, light and crunchy with a house made tarter sauce (excellent server brought us an additional tarter) Crab stuffed chili Relleno was a creative version of this meal I've eaten dozens of times, feta and a sweet sauce with the rock crab was delicious. Panqueque especial ,chorizo had a little kick but was cooled off by the pineapple and sweetness of the crepe. All baked together with rice, cheese, guac, veggie's on the side, this was a big meal that was packed with a savory mix of flavors,my favorite thing I sampled. Honey shirachi shrimp, jalapeno, bacon, pineapple,on slaw. Big shrimp, big taste in the sauce, excellent appetizer or can be ordered as a full meal. Fort Rock beer on tap ,live music, fun place and I will be back.
