Joe was outstanding--friendly, personable, and genuinely attentive from start to finish. You don't usually expect that kind of service that late on a Monday, which made it even more impressive. Ambiance is still beautiful and clean. Hosts put together our long table nicely and were very accommodating. Unfortunately, this visit was very disappointing. Several dishes came out cold or undercooked, the Thai noodles were hard, my SIL's burger was cold, and our tortilla soup was also cold. The soup was reheated, but sadly, it still didn't taste anything like the one we had the first time. That first tortilla soup was one of the best we'd ever had. What happened to it? If the recipe was changed, I honestly think that was a big mistake. Even Panera's tortilla soup tasted better this time. My seared tuna salad also came out as a bowl with rice. I didn't complain at first since I'm even tired of all these back and forth issues with our food, but even the rice was hard. I was honestly embarrassed because I had been the one raving about this restaurant to my family. I do want to make it clear that the food being cold or undercooked was not Brian's fault, that's on the kitchen. Brian was actually wonderful. He immediately addressed every concern, was honest about the mistake with my order, brought me the correct salad to take home, and even used his discount to help make up for the inconvenience. The GM and another member of management also came out to apologize. So while the food was a major disappointment this time, I truly appreciate Brian and the management team for trying to make things right. I hope this was just an off night because our first experience here was so much better.

We had ordered two multigrain avocado turkey sandwiches, that came with avocado, turkey breast, and cucumber. We just added Swiss cheese, artichokes, red peppers, lettuce, tomatoes, mustard, and seasoning. It came to a great sandwich with abundance of ingredients, that were all fresh and delicious. I always like their bread that has a crunchy skin and soft inside. I could only finish half of a sandwich each time for lunch, since the portions are very generous. I would highly recommend Potbelly sandwiches for a quick and delicious lunch!

Now, I have loved Auntie Anne's pretzels for years, and have never had a bad pretzel there. However, this one sadly fell short. I was disappointed when my pretzel was no more than 3/4 of the size that they serve at the mall, which I didn't realize until I unbagged it in my car. Then, after a couple of good bites, I discovered that most of the pretzel was burned on the bottom. I noticed the unexpected charred flavor first, and then discovered the blackened dough. Ugh! But I was driving at this point and didn't have time to go back to the store. At almost $6 for a pretzel, I don't know if I'll try another one here. My Jamba Juice smoothie was delicious - no complaints there! The place was fully staffed and the employees were friendly. My total check was almost $15 for one pretzel and a medium smoothie. On a positive note, I had a $10 Jamba Juice gift card, and because these three shops are combined and checkout is at one register, I was able to apply it to both my smoothie and my pretzel.

There were a few people eating and someone waiting for an order to go. I asked they type of cut their fries they serve and they were the thin, crispy kind similar to McDonald's. I was like DONE, let's order a large order. As I was waiting for the fries, I notice that they had 4-Cheese Pizza Puffs - boom, ring me up as they don't have cheese ones very often. I took both for takeout. As I drove home, I could smell the fries and I couldn't wait, so I grabbed a few at a stop light, I'm sure you all have done it. When I arrived, the fries were still crisp and hot and so was the pizza puff. The fries just bring me back to living in the Northside of Chicago and walking to the a fast food joint to order fries and play video games. The pizza puff was so good!
