My wife and I were in Austin for a meeting in August of 2021. It was an afternoon meeting and we ended up arriving a couple of hours early, so to kill time we decided to visit All Things Adult. As with any typical adult book store, there were guys milling around in the hallways. We entered a random booth and inserted our tokens into the machine. When the video began playing and our eyes adjusted to the darkness, we realized that the booth didn't have a gloryhole as we had hoped. So we unlocked the door and it pretty much took all of 10 seconds before a young guy walked in. I already had my wife's dress pulled up and we were kissing. When the young man first entered, he saw us standing there and started to exit until I motioned for him to come in. As my wife and I kissed, the young man felt her up and was rubbing her ass. Then another man entered, and then another. Soon my wife was kneeling on the built in bench and being taken by guy after guy. Great place for casual encounters m4m. Went there on a Saturday during lunch time. Clean and straight forward. You give the staff 5 bucks at the counter if you want to go in the booths in the back and he gives you tokens. You look for a booth that's open and use the tokens to play porn. There's a selection of gay or straight porn. You can lock the booth once inside which is nice if you want privacy. No filming allowed, heard the staff tell someone you will be banned for life if you do that. Everyone wears a mask. I can't speak for other people's experiences. I can only relay mine. I'm sure they are friendly to some people.....if they are, I haven't seen it. Exceptionally rude staff. Pathological. Saw one employee walk up to and outright threaten what appeared to be a trans person shopping....I can't say much about the customers as there don't appear to ever be any. At least not at what would be the "prime times" for shops of it's kind. This is not surprising given the unwelcoming atmosphere that hangs in the place like a malicious Victorian London fog. As if they reap commission on how many people they drive away. I frequent this establishment quite often and am familiar with staff as well. Short skinny red head at front desk is always disrespectful and disgusting towards me, my fiancé and others. I let it slide the first time thinking he may have had a bad day. However it's every time I visit. My fiancé noticed as well and has had to step in several times to put him back in his place. Very surprised he still works there. Always an unpleasant and disgusting experience when he's working. I have been here a few times and the trip recently will be my last. I came in with a handful of tokens that I didn't use from the last visit and was walking towards the booth area when the clerk yelled at me that I had to buy more tokens to go back. He basically said "You can't just go back there without buying tokens when you walk in!" I honestly wanted to throw the tokens I had on the counter and yell at him that I wouldn't be coming back- but was not in the mood for drama. I bought more tokens and as I was walking towards the booths he yells out "you need read line 2 on the rules posted on the wall". These people are VERY confrontational to their customers and very rude- truly zero customer service. And the place is always empty- it appears to be for a reason- they have scared all their customers away. I was in there one time when the clerk looked at me like he absolutely wanted to murder me right there- there was hate in his eyes. All I did was walk up to the counter- I hadn't even said a word yet- and we had never seen each other before. You feel like you are being watch every second in this place- it is very creepy. My advice is take your business elsewhere. This place is scary. And as a last comment- it is interesting that there are so many suppressed reviews. All seem to be similar to mine and very valid. The guy who works there doing the day is an asshole. At night it's better because the two other employees are pretty cool. So if you are going to go I would do it at night on the weekend (that is if you are going to the video booths) the merchandise there seems a little on the high side but still a great selection. They have a good selection of adult products and it is new so that is nice. But it feels like they want you out of there ASAP when you walk in. I have been here a couple of times and the staff kind of freaks me out (one of them was basically hitting on me- and he was gross!). They were yelling at customers in the booth over a loud speaker to "drop coins!!" when I was browsing around. The atmosphere was charged with tension. Not a good shopping experience. The second time I pulled up and was having a phone conversation in my car- I was there for 10 minutes or so- they say you can't bring your cell phone in so I had to finish the conversation in my car. I then heard a loudspeaker blairing at me that I was loitering (in my car! lol) and that I either needed to come in or leave. Number one- it really freaked me out they were timing me and watching me in the parking lot. You freaks! Wow. Number two- I left because I was scared to go in and pissed at the same time.
