    Ripped Mango with Worms

Got two boxes of kesar mangoes from Panchavati Scarborough and found two riped mangoes with worms inside each of the box. Not sure, if this was just a mere coincidence or a strategy to sell the riped mangoes. Paid $31 for each box of 7 mangoes in which 2 were with worms not sure if other mangoes also have worms. Shops like Panchavati, were people come with a trust to buy items even though they are labeled with heavy margin of profits just for the quality and to enjoy their indian taste shouldn't practice these cheap techniques to earn money.

Cheaters selling resealed packs of foods. We have been to this place recently (9th of Nov 2019) and bought some snacks for kids. These cheaters used packaging tapes to cover the slit on the wrap. They couldn't be honest on this $1.29 item. Initially we found the duplicate entry on the receipt which we ignore considering human error, but this is disgusting.

This was called the Patel Brothers store earlier. Now, there are 4 of these outlets in the GTA. This is perhaps the best desi supermarket in the Scarborough region. You get almost everything out there (except Chicken). The staff is efficient and there is ample free parking space. The folks sell samosas at a very cheap price (5 for a $) and then during summers, you have a chat stall where you can eat BhelPuri, Sev, Pani Puri and different kinds of yummy chats. The prices are reasonable, the fruits and vegetables are fresh. It's a regular stop point if you are a desi and are looking for a particular product from India

I bought a box of mangoes from this store. All of them were black (rotten) and spotted when I cut them. I tried to call but it went on fax.

These days, I tend to hang out around the Malvern area (Tapscott and Neilson) fairly regularly,…read moremainly because there's a Circle K that I like. It has hot drinks and hot dogs. Across the street from this magical store is a plaza with this No Frills. I checked it out for the first time in late July. The parking lot does get busy with shoppers, but it's not horrible. I found a parking spot and walked in. The cart requires a loonie. As usual, I didn't have one. Instead, I used a small basket for my items. I needed celery and avocados. The produce section was excellent. Everything looked fresh and in decent condition. I found my items and continued shopping. This neighbourhood has East and West Indian communities. You see food catering to them at this store, from Indian snacks to plantains, both in the produce section and in chip form as snacks. It does have a decent Asian section. I loved seeing shrimp-flavoured chips that are highly addictive and an impressive assortment of ramen. I ended up getting some coconut oil. I had just run out of it. This store also has an impressive assortment of juice flavours. I saw guava, lychee, and mango juices, just to name a few. I got a cheerful cashier at the checkout. I had brought a bag, so I stuffed it as she ran my items through the scanner. I paid with a debit card. Done! I thanked her and happily left with my grocery items on a rainy day. I have since returned whenever I'm back at Circle K. It's a good No Frills. I like it better than my local one because staff are friendly and it has everything that I need. (349)

The clerk scanned my optimum card but no reward points was given. I asked the clerk and her response was that I had to use a PC credit card to receive points.. that's not true.. she even tried to get me to apply for one... store seems shady..

This place is huge, and sells all kinds of things. Parking is a bit hectic, even at 1:45 on a Thursday afternoon. The parking spots right in front of the Food Mart are very small, and scary for a big SUV like mine. But there is very frequent turnover, and if you just drive around the lot for 30 seconds, someone will be pulling out. The parking spaces in front of the stores facing the Food Mart are larger and a bit easier to navigate. This mall is great fun to go to. They have all manner of foods (fresh noodles! Great fruits! Asian stuffed toys and cosmetics! Fresh meat and seafood! The list goes on and on ...) and an excellent prepared food counter, and a Chatime outlet. We bought some mochi, some enormous strawberries, and a variety of dim sums from the food counter. Our selections included fried dough sticks (they actually reheat well in the air-fryer), fried squid, scallion pancakes, seafood and pork dumplings, some delicious pork and shrimp mini-pancakes. The squid was the way my daughter likes it (chewy), and I enjoyed some as well. Everything else was great, although the dumplings were a bit past their peak, and should have been switched out for new ones. We also enjoyed some delicious bubble tea from Chatime, which always has new, seasonal selections to tempt you. Basically, a trip to the Asia Food Mart is really fun, as they have such a diversity of products. Next time, I'm coming here to shop "for real" (meaning actual groceries, as opposed to lunch or snacks). The butchery and fish counters serve really fresh food at a good price, and there are some great deals on produce. You can't get around the fact that this is a snack haven. You should check it out now!!! It's open 24/7.

My family and I had just eaten at the Pacific Mall, but man, wish we had saved ourselves for this spot. As far as an Asian grocery stores go, this is one of the cleaner, and better organized ones that I have been to, maybe ever. Not only are they clean, but they have a great variety of snacks and drinks, as well as your standard fare for everyday cooking. To me, the star of this place has to be their prepared foods area. Evidently after 8pm, they mark down lots of their prepared food items. From dim sum, to noodles, fried rice and other entrees, you can score plenty of items for $4-6 which were normally 2-3x that. I felt like a kid in a candy store and began snatching and hording all the things. I had to stop and remind myself we were on vacation, and would be living out of hotels for the next few days, so I limited myself to just a handful of items. We got some noodles, fried rice and dumplings, which we would end up eating for breakfast over the next few days. While nothing was mind blowing per se, the food was solid and certainly economical. If I lived in this area, I could see myself coming here on the regular just for the prepared foods. OVERALL - almost wish I hadn't come to this place, so I'd never knew what I was missing. Thank you Canada for showing me what's possible. CELEBRITY RATING - Simu Liu

The store was very clean and very well laid out. Quite a few good varieties and selection for every item. The prices are reasonable. We didn't purchase a lot of things. There was a table full of samples to try out - you can select which sample you want to try and how many times. We did try quite a few items and surprisingly we liked quite a few of them and almost all of them were store brand and we bought many of them. We also bought khaman dhokla - which was very disappointing. Not fresh and also as it was dipped or topped in a sugar syrup. Coming from a Gujarati store, khaman was very disappointing. Same for Khichu - it was so dry and unflavoured. We topped with some pickle masala and still it was not pleasing at all. We bought chappatis and they were absolutely amazing. Soft, fresh and well made and reasonably priced. Part of the taste was because of a lot oil was used when the dough was prepared. Only thing we didn't like is there were no ingredients on the packaging. If management is reading this please add ingredients to as many items that are store made.
