I ordered Carne Guisada, one of my favorite dishes. This came with two large homemade Salvadoran style tortillas which are thicker than the usual and made fresh to order. They had a crispy texture and went very well with the Carne Guisada. The beef was tender and well seasoned. There were also good tasting potatoes and carrots in the stew. Seasoned rice and black beans accompany this all around delicious, comforting meal. Service is friendly and the restaurant dining room was very comfortable to sit in. It was Grand Sugar and Grammy Night out and we decided to eat in Hesperia. I was actually looking for a different restaurant that had just opened, but glad I ended up here. I had visited Panchos in Victorville before, so I knew that the food was good. Our waitress Kymberly was sweet and very helpful. She told us the best things to order and I had a beautiful smile! My granddaughter ordered a cup of Champurado, we both ordered Quesabirrias and Pupusa's. I also ordered a side cup of their Albondigas soup which I had before from their Victorville restaurant. Everything, but the drink was savory and satisfying! I am only giving it 4 Stars because the Champurado was too thick and they were too expensive for small fast food joint. I ordered their $15 shrimp burrito thats supposedly amazing, well, it was rove and maybe 3 shrimp...smothered in the most overpoweringly rich white sauce. The salsa is like water, you can't even get it on a chip, the chips were like chips you buy at the grocery store and so thin they shatter when you pick them up, the beans had a weird flavor that I can't put my finger on and those tortillas definitely aren't hand made. The food is not very good. I got a shredded beef taco, the beef smelled old. So I didn't eat it. I got a fish taco, they put rancid pico de gallo on it, couldn't eat it. I ordered a lime margarita on the rocks, it tasted like toilet water. I sent it back and they gave me an 82 cent discount! I maybe drank 82 cents worth of it! I've had more better than bad experiences here. The bathrooms always have some weird potter potty smell which sets a tone for the experience. The restaurant sometimes smells like wet rag that was left out. If they were to change the smell of the restaurant and bathrooms I'm sure everyone would have a better experience.
