Pancake House is one of my favorite restaurants during my college days. I frequently visited its branch in Katipunan, especially during those days when I needed to take a break during stressful periods by having a soothing breakfast meal, whether I'm alone or with my friends.
This branch feels more compacted compared to the other branches I have been in, although this one has two floors. The colors of the walls and floors of the interior, coupled with very comfortable seats, will give customers a relaxing feel, which suits its breakfast and brunch-oriented service. The waiters look clean, diligent, and cheerful enough.
As the name suggests, the establishment is known for its pancakes. Their pancakes are served warm and sufficiently large, with lots of maple syrup and butter on the side. I found them to be not too sweet, although I was quite disappointed that it did not stand out to me. Instead, I was more fond of its cheese waffles, which satisfied my taste buds and appetite. The main entrees were delicious and nutritious. The Salisbury steak meal was my favorite meal in this branch during my tenure in ADMU. The beverages offered were also really good. For instance, the vanilla milkshake reminded me of those offered by diners and milkshake bars. However, if you are looking to avoid spending much, then the high prices of the products offered might repel some prospective customers away.
For students in ADMU, Miriam, or even UP Diliman who enjoy breakfast food, I recommend a rather occasional than regular visit to Pancake House due to its relatively high prices. Nonetheless, after your visit, you will feel relaxed having enjoyed meals and drinks that will give you energy and positivity to proceed through your day. read more
