Calamansi juice - A fairly good amount of juice for a fairly good price. And who could ever say no to drinking out of a mason jar?

Personally, I'm a fan of second chances. If there's something worth coming back to, I always think it's best to give something a second chance.... And that was the reason why I went back to the Breakfast Bin. Located along Maginhawa, this cozy little nook promised equally cozy comfort food tuck ins at an equally cozy price. From your usual stack of pancakes and waffles to traditional Filipino "-silogs", their menu can satisfy any breakfast craving you might have. Where one can usually expect spending upwards 200php for a stack of pancakes and some fixins, the Breakfast Bin clocks in at a decent 150php for two waffles, bacon and a side of what they call breakfast potatoes. Not bad. Not bad at all. What I hadn't expected however, was the wait. The first time around, I waited a good thirty minutes for my order. When it was ready, I saw them call it back again for some reason or another. It had probably been forty full minutes before I saw my meal. But the wait was worth it. Their pancakes had been decently sized, the bacon was crisp, the passionfruit iced tea didn't have that pre-packaged powdered taste... and the breakfast potatoes were soft and savory and warm. Worth the wait? Definitely. Remember that second chance? When I returned, service had improved overall. The staff was courteous and had even remembered me from the last time. My previous wait of forty minutes? Down to a modest ten. Nothing changed with the food. It was just as good and just as hot. Maybe the first time was just a fluke. That second visit fixed every bad impression the first one gave. Will I be coming back a third time? With everything on the menu I haven't tried yet, you bet I will be.

Salisbury steak won my heart over. The tenderness of the meat topped with the right mix of thick gravy. Plus, there is a bowl of mixed carrots and corns on the side. It is something I can eat everyday. Original serving price is P255 and we saved a bucks and a cup of ice tea by acquiring the promo! We also ordered a bowl of mashed potatoes that complements well with the salisbury. The establishment is along tomas morato. Interiors are clean and cozy with well-trained staff. Pancake House is not just merely a go-to breakfast place but a nearby hub for a casual lunch or dinner. There is also a provision of ample parking space. The downside is that the comfort room is located far back end, sharing with the adjacent restaurant. Outdoor dining can be extremely hot during daytime and there are ongoing roadworks that hinders the walkway.

I just love their boneless bangs with egg and fried rice! Although they serve excellent brewed coffee, I just wish they would use a bigger mug or cup, or not charge extra for one refill.

It's weird because no one talks about it but yes, you can find us there all together once a year. Though I do visit this branch more often than once a year since I like how the place looks (like a doll house) both on the inside and outside. I think this place can accommodate slightly more people than the other branches but I could be wrong. I love their desserts and their baked goodies specially their Bacon empanada. Yes, please! The winning dish for me here is their Paella and their roast beef. But more often than not, I get their breakfast options since I am a breakfast person. Definitely worth a try! I used to frequent their branch along C5 since it used to be on the way to my school. My usual order was their Shepherd's Pie. Nothing special really, but it was just the simple taste of a home cooked meal that made me love it. Yesterday, I decided to order something different. Having been away from home for a few weeks, my taste buds were craving for something Pinoy. They now have an All Day Breakfast menu which includes my favorite Filipino Breakfast, beef tapa. I honestly wasn't expecting much, nor was I expecting service to be so quick, but when I first laid my eyes on the plate, I knew it had to be good! Now, for tapa, I like to make sure that I've got all aspects in my spoon. First the garlic rice, then a part of the egg, then some tapa dipped in vinegar, and to top it all off... Atchara! And that first bite? Maaaaan. That first bite. It was heaven. I fell in love. It was like a beef tapa bacon. Tasty, salty and crunchy. It was so good that whenever my boyfriend would ask for a bite, I would let him get a spoonful with a heavy heart. I absolutely did not want to share my food! Mom & Tina's definitely became part of my Best Tapas in town list!

Got there right around 7:30, snagged a nice window table with morning light pouring in, and dove straight into the spread. They had this killer lineup--garlic rice, longganisa that was juicy and not too sweet, perfectly fluffy scrambled eggs, crispy danggit, and some really good tapa that was tender and full of flavor. The free-flowing coffee kept coming without me even asking, which was clutch. Everything tasted fresh, nothing felt like it was sitting out too long, and the vibe inside is so chill and homey, like you're eating at a friend's place but better. Left feeling full, happy, and already plotting my next visit to try their all-day menu--heard the bibimbap and pancakes are next-level. Solid five stars, hands down.

What better way to start your day than with a breakfast buffet?…read more The Breakfast Club's cozy interior provides the perfect setting for putting things on hold in favor of a warm early morning meal. They have a breakfast buffet every Friday to Sunday which starts at 7 am and ends at 10 am. They don't have a lavish spread of items on the buffet to choose from, but they do have just the right amount of variety to keep your meal from becoming a dull repetition of viands. From my experience, they had breakfast items such as tocino, scrambled eggs, tapa, and fish fillet. They change the choices once in a while, and they have free-flowing coffee as part of the package!! So be early! If you miss the buffet, don't worry! They have lots of a la carte meals that will satisfy you as much as their buffet will.

But the food is still the food. So on to that: - Beef Tapa: My favourite dish of the meal. Beef was tender, thinly sliced, with that perfect tangy-sweet flavour balance. - Sardine and Sundried Tomato Pasta: Strong flavours that perfectly matched. Generous amount of sardines and studied tomatoes went well with the al dente pasta. A wonderfully done pasta by a place I associate with breakfast food. - Crispy Plain Waffles: Pretty tasty on its own (which is a good sign), though a bit too crispy and chewy for me. - Pancakes: Soft and pillowy. Definitely preferred these to the waffles. - Spinach, Mushroom and Cheese Omelette: The omelette was melt-in-your-mouth fluffy. Unfortunately it was also a bit bland. Good amount of cheese but would have liked more mushrooms and spinach. - Hazelnut Coffee: Strong hazelnut taste. Appreciated that it wasn't watered down. Service was attentive and efficient. Prices are fairly reasonable. And again, that beautiful space to laze the mornings away. A delightful spot overall.
