Many menu items to choose from for breakfast and lunch. Can't go wrong here for classic breakfast options. Enjoyed our feast! Filling and tasted good ! Ordered for pick up and was ready in 20 minutes or so. Staff is friendly and the music playing was upbeat, fun!

We really felt like going out for breakfast this morning, so we went where we knew they had a lot of space to distance their tables. They do a great job of spacing it out in there. They had 3 hosts and lots of servers. However, we sat for almost 10 minutes before seeing anyone about drinks. We waited a LONG time for our food too. But the main issues I have with the Pancake Cafe now are the prices. For what you get, the prices are ridiculous. My 10-year-old ordered an orange juice, and when the bill came, it was a $6 OJ! I mean, seriously?! I know they make fresh OJ, but she is a child. Then we asked if it'd be possible to add chocolate chips, but the $3 up charge to add 6 chocolate chips is insane, on an already $10 meal. If you have more than 3 people in your family, I don't know how you could afford to take them here. I could've bought her a steak for what her meal and Oj cost ($19!). I think for our budget's sake, we will try somewhere else next time.

Was suppose to be turkey melt

Terrible food. Waited over 40 mins after ordering food and when it arrived it was awful. My turkey melt had one slice of cheese and one slice of meat. Screwed up a few orders too. Fries were barely done.

This picture says it all ! Every time I have breakfast here it NEVER disappoints. Drew the owner goes above and beyond for his customers taking cleanliness of his restaurant to another level. Food is always delivered in a speedy yet amazing presentation. My daughter comes for the cinnamon rolls and pancakes and I am a huge fan of the omelette cooked to perfection! What an amazing friendly staff who has the best personalities ! Best breakfast around !

Service 1/5 stars. Waitress forgot to put in one order leaving person at table without food while others ate. Waitress had to be asked two times for syrup to go with waffles and pancakes. Food was marginal. Steak was over cooked (ordered medium rare and received well). Pancakes were over cooked and tasted of charred oil. However, Pecan waffle was very good.

a salad in a styrofoam container

This was my first time ordering from this place. I ordered a salad and it was disgusting. The chicken was hard like if it wasn't fully cooked. I paid $18 tip was included and I have to say I was very disappointed.

Spicy chicken sandwich

We ate breakfast at the Pancake Cafe and enjoyed our experience. The food was good and they kept our coffee cups full!

I won't claim it's authentic, because I have no idea. I can only claim delicious and it's surprisingly accurate to sauces I've eaten in NORTHERN China, which might tell you something. Suggest replacing jalapeno with any of the common Asian peppers. 3) love the quaint place. There's a small stage in back, which may or may not get good use (I hope it does). Service is friendly and professional. It's OK to dine alone. I'm no expert on Poutine but it's also good comfort food. They have house made cocktails which seem appealing and from what I can tell, people enjoy. Best times to visit: Saturday afternoon, or before a show.

Made me feel dizzy everywhere I looked. We love the large cheese curds here! And we had the sweet potato tots, which were amazing! I really enjoyed the new food menu. We all loved our dishes. Drink menu is.... Ehhh. Especially the Too Buku martini. It was supposed to have green chiles and cilantro. But all I tasted was sweet, pretty tasteless lychee. Restaurant was pretty slow, only 2 other couples in the entire place. But server wasn't around very much until the check came.

We ordered a few different things so we could try a little bit of everything, including the breakfast sandwich, æbleskiver, an egg dish with potatoes, and some drinks. The æbleskiver were definitely fun to try and came with dipping sauces, and everything was beautifully presented. The breakfast sandwich was decent and filling, and the potatoes were really good too. We also tried a drink flight along with a Bloody Mary, which was a fun way to sample a few different flavors instead of committing to just one drink. Everything looked just as good as it tasted. The atmosphere is cute and cozy and definitely has more character than your typical brunch spot. I also liked that the menu has items you don't see everywhere else in Rockford. Overall, we had a great brunch experience. Good food, good service, and a unique menu. We would definitely come back to try more!

The place is really adorable too. We just happened to swing by here once after a flight delay and they were booked, so we knew it must be good. This was absolutely worth the wait and the drive!

Looking at other plates and asking the server I decided on the hash browns with cheese, two eggs over medium and the chocolate chip pancakes. Yep, that was the sweet spot. We arrived around 12:30pm on a Sunday. They close at 1pm. But they were still quite busy. You tell the host at the front the number of people in your party and if you have a preference for counter or table seating. We waited about 10-15 minutes. They have a pretty quick turnaround time. If you're okay with sitting at the counter you'll get served a lot sooner and the food tastes just as good! Our group ordered a crepe, chocolate chip pancakes, Dutch delite (Dutch baby with strawberries and bananas), and coconut pancakes. The total came out to $50 after tax and tip. Service was wonderful! I asked the server to make the Dutch baby without the bananas since I'm allergic. She took it very seriously and asked if I'm allergic to latex as well (probably the type of gloves they wear in the kitchen.) The breakfast arrived with 3-4 different types of syrups! The lemon syrup was great! It tasted like a lemon candy. I really liked my strawberry Dutch baby! They doubled up on the strawberries since I didn't want bananas. The strawberries were very sweet and in season. The portions were big too! Good food. Good service. Very affordable pricing.
