This has become our favorite panadería in the area. The bread has great flavor and they have good traditional options. The store is small but packed with choices. We usually get some of their cookies, conchas, and bolillos for homemade tortas. We don't mind the drive to it from Ventura since this bread truly reminds us of home. I would recommend to bring cash if possible. They do accept debit cards it seems but cash makes it easier. I haven't had any issues with staff like other reviews have shared. Everyone that has been at the cash register on my visits have been fine. I mean, there isn't much to them putting your bread into bags and charging you. read more

Prices are not posted, no receipts are given. Price gauging at its best. Isn't that all illegal? I feel like they judge on how much they will charge based on your appearance/ethnicity. Giving them so much money for a few pieces of bread made it feel like a shady deal, especially with no receipt. I feel like I've been had. Attended a family gathering for the Rosca de Reyes and it is by far the best (freshest) tasting Rosca I have had in years. The middle was soft and airy, the pink concha like topping melted into the pan, it did not crumble and fall apart (as some often do when taking a bite) and the membrillo strips were also soft, not hard or chewy. I will definitely purchase my next Rosca at Panederia Yaniras. I look forward to trying their pan dulce, bolillos and other sweets. read more

Fully stocked and loaded deliciousness. They have cakes for any and all occasions a wide range variety of Mexican Sweet breads and Danish. They also specialize in cakes and The infamous Tres Leches (3 Milk) Cakes. The establishment is cleaner than most bakeries in Oxnard and very well staffed. The downside is not all may speak Spanish but they can fully understand or might phone in a call. They also offer cake slices and Flan to go or a whole flan to feed the family. They also carry juices, sodas and red bulls with a occasion cold torta to go. It convenient especially if you don't want to head in the liquor store a few doors down. read more

The sweet bread is great and the bolillos are even better. The customer service was crappy though. I got there and was not greeted which was okay but when i was done getting my bread i had to wait for them to attend me. There were two ladies in the back just talking, i went with my girlfriend so she was the one that asked for some service, after one of them gave her attention to us she started to be rude. I think I'm going to have to learn Spanish considering how many panaderias I frequent. I had a language barrier here, but the visit turned out well. Panaderia Yaniras has a pretty good selection for a place their size, and the quality is good although it lacks a little of the finer touches I'd gotten at Panaderia Vanessa. I'd gotten a cream-filled pan fino that tasted good but in the sweet way that comes along with ordering pan fino in the first place. I'd also gotten a custard-filled donut since I was so confused they even made them. It's actually good enough to be on par with a typical donut shop, which is pretty good considering I probably picked a weak suit of theirs. read more

As I was going to set them down to grab some bread one of the workers comes up to me and hands me some tongs and a tray because that I seem like the kind of person to grab it with my hands. This review is for the menudo only. This is available only for take out since there are no tables. I went back to my car anticipating the flavorful meaty goodness awaiting me in the styrofoam soup container. Lifting the lid, I was very pleased to see there was a lot of meat, and it looked tender. The first spoonful confirmed the meat having the tight texture. However, the broth was thin and lacking good flavor. Yet again, I did not finish the entire menudo. The soup is served with chopped onions and red chilies in a foil packet. It was missing oregano and cilantro. This is for their Location on Pleasant Valley, I stop by a few times a week for their hot chocolate! It's so delicious, hot and, tasty warms my soul, better than spending $5 at Starbucks. The also have delicious Mexican sweet bread and, food. I have only had the small breakfast burritos taste just like they were made at home and for $1!! Can't beat that. read more

The cheesecake empanadas are delicious and generously filled. When we walked in, they had jus taken the watermelon and tricolored cookies out of the oven. Naturally, we added those to our tray. They were just the right texture and warm- what else can you ask for? I gave this bakery 4 stars because the Rosca de Reyes was ok, not bad but not great and the conchas looks dry and over baked. read more

Great Bread! Horrible customer service, they don't even say hi! The cashier touched money than she went and help the line lady (she did not wash her hands), she was sweeping while I was eating there, all the dust got into my plate. Horrible experience. Can i put 4 and 3/4 stars ?? This bread is as good as it gets , you can walk in get your hot coffee and a concha and bang your set . Oh and you'll get fresh bread maybe still warm , unlike other bakeries where you'll get hard cold bread . read more
