This made my pick up very inconvenient but I agreed because I thought it might be worth it. Picked up the cake and it was pretty but not 100% what I expected. Before I saw it, I was assured it looked "just like the picture" and it doesn't. So, I was a little disappointed, but I didn't complain and tried to stay positive. Finally, when we got to eat the cake I was EXTREMELY disappointed. The fondant was completely inedible. Usually, I'm not a huge fan anyway but I always try it. I got strawberry flavor. The cake was dry, dense, and flavorless. To top it off I paid $75 for the cake to feed 15-25 people. I wouldn't have minded paying that IF The cake was a least enjoyable. Unfortunately, that was not my experience.

Inside, it's a very cold and casual environment with no place to sit so everything is to be taken to-go. The woman behind the counter was friendly and happy to help me decide which cookie to get. She helped me decide on a Twix cookie which wouldn't have been my first choice if she hadn't sold me on it. I'm glad she suggested it as it was very good and not an everyday type cookie. Although the cookie was soft and delicious, I don't think it warrants such a high price. As this wasn't the best cookie I've ever tried, I would expect it to be slightly cheaper.

The first time, we went late in the afternoon (around 4 PM), and they were almost sold out of everything except maybe 4 items. The next day, we arrived about 20-30 minutes before opening, and there was already a HUGE line waiting for them to open. This time, we were able to order a few more things, so here is my honest review: Flan Tres Leches + Strawberries: This was soooo good! It was super moist and not too sweet. It was the perfect dessert. We enjoyed it so much that we went back again the following day! 10/10 Fruity Pebbles and Fresita Tres Leches Cups: These were great! The cake was soft and spongy. 9/10 Chocolate Chip Cookies: These were delicious but a little too gooey for my liking. My husband absolutely loved them though! 8/10 Lemon Curd: This was AMAZING. The cream with the flaky, sugary exterior was to die for! Spectacular give me 14 of them RIGHT NOW! 10/10 Mango Croissant: This was actually the main reason I wanted to try this place, but unfortunately it was my least favorite item. I'm not sure what it was, but something about the mango and cream combination didn't taste right. The croissant itself was amazing though 4/10 Cheesecake Bites: Honestly, these were good, but I can't give a fair rating because we definitely overdid it with the toppings and didn't eat them until later that afternoon, so they weren't as fresh. Overall: I'll definitely be back to try more items on their menu! I already can't wait to go back and try their Pistachio Croissant!

Returning on Saturday just after opening, despite the blistering 102‑degree heat, proved to be the right move. The line was already forming, but service was efficient and steady. Each pastry arrived warm, beautifully presented with fresh fruit and a dusting of powdered sugar. The laminated layers were buttery, flaky, and delicious in every bite. The standout for me was the mango croissant -- bright, fresh, and perfectly balanced. I'm already looking forward to trying more items on their menu. Casita Bakes is truly a gem worth revisiting!
