I stayed here in the first week of July to attend a friend's wedding. It was recommended as a good price point and close to where we needed to go for wedding festivities. It definitely a great location with lots of nearby restaurants and coffee shops. It's a bit of a trek to get downtown but since most of the wedding activities were in midtown it was perfect. The hotel is absolutely beautiful - outside was inviting and the lobby was clean. Staff were great and checkin and checkout were seamless and efficient. I shared a 2 queen room with a friend. The rooms were very nice, comfortable, and spacious. We even had a view of downtown. There was complementary bottled water which was nice as it was hot that weekend. I wanted to go to the pool but didn't get a chance this stay but it looked great. The only negative is with the fitness center. I went every morning to work out but there were some machines that could use some maintenance. That being said, there were plenty of mats, dumbbells', and other equipment to use. There's also a water dispenser which was great. It was a great stay and I will stay again when I am in town.

I found this place on Perks at Work for my stay here 5/24-5/26. I was under the impression that it would be a 4 star hotel as advertised, but it's definitely not. I initially reserved a king sized bed, and they downgraded me at check-in to a room with two twin beds simply because I have my bunny with me. They also gave me hard time asking for identification for my bunny to prove that she's an emotional support animal. I don't have an ID card for my bunny but showed them my paperwork from my psychologist. They then charged me $50 for a pet fee, and I am writing this while in my room where I smell cigarettes even though this is a non-smoking property. I called the hotel, one staff member said I could be given a different room, but the front desk said that wasn't an option. It's very bait and switch like tactics. Everything is far from what I expected. What a joke, I wish I was making this up, and here I am trying to figure out how I will get through tomorrow night. Fingers crossed they won't retaliate me for sharing my experience. It's also $20/day for parking. As of right now, I have incurred an extra $90 worth of expenses that are all surprises. Run! I do not recommend this place to anyone, and I am usually not one to write bad reviews. I won't stay here again unless they make things right and overhaul their policies.

Stayed at this hotel for 1 night for business. It's located about 30 minutes away from Toronto airport in a relatively safe and quiet area. There are plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance. Room was clean and comfortable and staff were friendly. Paid breakfast is available (no free). Parking is not free either as it cost $18 CAD per night. The room was spacious and was interesting in that it had a narrow walk-out balcony attached to it. If you have kids, you should becareful. The interior of the bathroom looked new and had some nice tile, but the shower was poorly built and way too tight for an average sized person. The room did come with a nice bathtub though, so it could be convenient for families with young kids. We chose this hotel because it was price competitively compared to other hotels in the area. I would stay here again if I were to visit.

The broken pool full of dirty water. For it to get that bad it must have been neglected for months. This is end of September.

Usually I avoid really tearing into a place but I must pan the Pan Pacific Hotel. It is trying to pretend to be a world class hotel, but there are so many problems. The pool is full of green dirty water. The hot tub is in disrepair. There's peeling paint, cracks and potholes in the back parking. The staff are quite curt and unfriendly. They have nice front lobby. I guess it was a great hotel at one time but its best days have long past due to cost cutting and giving up.

I came Pan Pacific Toronto Hotel to meet some friends to help them check into three rooms for three nights. It was just a short visit but I found that hotel staff were friendly and extremely accommodating. A shout out to the Porter that welcomed us! The Front Desk was also terrific by changing assigned rooms so that all were on the same floor. The lobby had that wow feeling upon entering this facility!

Stayed at this hotel for a few nights while on vacation and I was very satisfied with the service and the accommodations. The room was cozy. The beds were comfortable in the staff make sure the rooms stayed clean. The front desk personnel were able to give us recommendations and got us checked in and out with a quickness. Didn't try the food but the bar was good and the service was excellent. I also tried the spa and got foot reflexology and it was amazing. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and would recommend it to anybody else. Public transportation was right outside so it's easy to get in and out of.

Awful hotel. Outdated, dirty, run down. The elevators either don't work or take an age to come by. Mold on the bathtub. The food at the restaurant is nasty and upset my stomach. They just don't clean up the way you'd expect from a four star hotel.

I am currently at this hotel while writing this review, I would NOT recommend to anyone to book a stay with this hotel. The hotel owner is extremely CHEAP and doesn't provide AC for his guest, he gets the manager and the staff members to dim all the lights throughout the hotel and in some areas they have the lights completely off! ALL THE GUEST ARE COMPLAINING WHO ARE CURRENTLY HERE anyone who has a room in the higher levels are all currently being moved to the second level, guest are still complaining its too HOT and are asking for fans, some guest successful on getting the fans and most guest are left without fans. I was on the 14th floor and now I am on the 2nd floor with all the lights and the curtain fully closed, I also have the fridge wide open for some sort of AC! Now I understand why there's no blankets on the bed, you get a bed sheet as your 'blanket' and the Wi-fi sucks it's slow and disconnects...can this hotel get any worse? This is the second time I booked with this hotel within this week and this will be the last time, customers should not have to suffer just so the owner of the hotel can save money. DO NOT BOOK HERE YOU WILL NOT GET ANY SLEEP -THEY DO NOT HAVE AC AND ITS PAID PARKING $20 -HORRIBLE PLUMBING TOILET IS WEAK IN FLUSHING -NO CUPS, UTENSILS, ICE BUCKET OR ICE THIS HAS BEEN AN ON-GOING ISSUE WHICH THE OWNER WILL NOT RESOLVE, KEEP THAT IN MIND BEFORE BOOKING. Thanks for reading. DONT BE FOOLED BY THE FRONT LOBBY !

I recently had the pleasure of attending the wedding of the daughter of dear friends, with the…read morereception being held at Parkview Manor. It was my first time being here and I was impressed with the venue and the service. The name, Parkview Manor, suggests something exotic or traditional, maybe like an old mansion. Instead, it was a rather plain looking grey building with a large parking lot, in the middle of an industrial area. It was clean and in good repair but really had no character to it. Stepping inside, however, told a different story altogether. The reception/bar area was a bit small and cramped, making it a little hard for all the guests to move around comfortably. The passed hors d'oeuvres were plentiful, with a decent variety but tasted a bit ordinary. The main banquet room, with the head table, dining tables, and dance floor, was very spacious and beautifully decorated, with intimate lighting. Our meal was very good, maybe even excellent! We started with soup and salad, both served tableside. The main course had a properly cooked piece of salmon, a very tender steak, potatoes, and veggies. Dessert was chocolate mousse tart and creme brulee, served alternately. Other than the dessert being a tad sweet for my taste, the food quality was good. Kudos to our server, who was very friendly, engaging, and efficient! Having worked at one of the top banquet facilities in the GTA for ten years, the food and service here was top notch! If they had an area, indoor or outdoor, for photos, it would be perfect! The wedding, overall, was fantastic! Congratulations, Melissa and Brian!

I was teetering into 3-star territory because of how unimpressed I was with the entree. But then I…read morethought about everything else, the antipasto, the dessert, the food stations, the service, and the insider info from my friend about how great the coordinator is. So I'm thinking...meh, why bring down a decent venue over some overcooked steak? Parkview Manor, like every other banquet hall, has a fairly boring exterior, but the inside is clean and well-presented with your typical banquet hall decor and chandeliers. TONS of parking, which is an advantage of being in a bland commercial area. The building is split into two areas so it's highly possible there are multiple events happening at the same time. Food, of course, is the number 1 priority as a wedding guest. As stated up front, the entree was bad. Really bad. The filet mignon was tough like leftover meat from boiled stew. The chicken, already expected to be underwhelming at a banquet hall, was especially bland. I suppose that's the risk of a 2-meat plate. But everything else made up for it, I think. The antipasto was plentiful and delicious, especially the smoked salmon and the giant parmesan cheese wheel. The dessert was a wonderful creme brulee. The oysters at the oyster bar were fresh and shucked before your eyes. Even the sweets table had some tasty cakes. Servers were quick and unnoticeable, which is a mark of a good banquet hall server. You don't want plates clanging against each other during a speech. The bottom line is I had a wonderful time here as a guest; food, service, and coordination being a huge part of that. So I can live with a little chewy beef. If you are planning a wedding at a banquet hall, I wouldn't pass on this. I hear the guy that coordinates the venue is fantastic. (50/100) - 2018

Wow!…read moreThe venue, food, and service were all on point The venue, located on the upper level of a standalone building in the parking lot of Bayview Village, was a warm and inviting space, with brick and wood walls, large windows, and very intimate lighting. We used two of the three available sections and it was more than enough space. The event was a baby shower luncheon and the menu was very appropriate, with a variety of roving hors d'ouevres, salads, sandwiches, and desserts that satisfied everybody's appetite. The salads were all colourful, fresh, and tasty, with a good variety to choose from. The sandwiches - salmon, chicken, pulled pork, and vegetarian - were all delicious, as were the desserts. Personally, I would have preferred a tad less dressing on the salads but maybe that's just me. The service was also excellent, from the moment I walked in and was greeted with smiles by all the staff. Used plates were cleared from the tables very efficiently and the buffet table was replenished quickly. Overall, this was a great experience and a very enjoyable baby shower!

I liked the fact they got an elevator to get us to the 2nd floor, as the venue is there. Then I found out this venue is part of the O&B group, there's a certain aura this venue signifies as well as a standard O&B represents. I like! I like the setup as the food came in the middle, and we serve ourselves. I like that configuration. I can control portion on my own. First came the appetizers and there's risotto ball, and warm salad. Surprisingly they taste quite decent even though it was mass produced. Then the mains came after about half hour and there's all three choices of beef, chicken and fish. So I am not stuck with one. The biggest surprise were the beef and fish. As I mentioned earlier, banquet food tends to flop when it is mass produced. But not here, the beef came out soft and juicy still and the fish actually tasted good. I didn't have chicken as I was full by then. Dessert were homemade doughnut balls and a tiramisu. These were dynamite. I had an extra serving of these wonderful goodies. Overall experience is very nice. Food was good and service is quite good.

After all, worst case scenario was that I'd get a lot of wine for my trouble. The Metropolitan Centre in Scarborough is a fascinating event hall that wears its heritage proudly on its sleeve. It was a bit overwhelming - and a bit humbling to walk in here for the first time and take everything in. This is a sprawling space that offers some of the best food I've had at an event hall in a very long time, and the event was an interesting and fascinating experience. We enjoyed salmon, salad, roasted red peppers, mini potatoes and all the bread and wine we could handle. And the baklava. OH MY GOD THE BAKLAVA. And it was the nice, light baklava that was handmade. I ate like half the plate when they brought it - don't judge me, I'm a growing boy. I will be the first to tell you that I am not literate in Greek culture, so it took some time to acclimate to their customs. When in doubt, kiss the hands of your elders and hug everyone you can. It was very interesting to see the reverence the assembled guests (including several politicians) had for the academy, which is affiliated with Saint-Paul University and teaches young men to be priests. This was definitely an experience I won't soon forget, and the venue was classy and filled with good times and great food. If I ever have the chance to attend the Metropolitian again in the future, I'll be there without delay. Highly recommended.
