I swiftly descended upon and scooped up a bottle of Oahacan Old Fashioned chocolate and chili bitters for mixing into some whiskey back home, completely oblivious that it said to mix with Mezcal on the bottle, but it worked really well my way, so no complaints! This is the sort of shop where I would spend far too much money on a regular basis, so I'm slightly thankful that I would have to drive five hours to get back here. Hopefully the residents of Langley are wealthy enough to keep a fantastic small business like this running year round, so I can come back during our visit next year, and be charmed all over again!

You can find them at various farmers markets throughout the state, but you can also now find them at the relatively new Woodinville farm. This smaller farm serves as a base of operations for Puget Sound. But it is a working farm, and the Tonnemaker grow many vegetables right here. Cucumbers (when they are in season) are also available as you pick here. The farm stand sells the produce from both Woodinville and Royal City. It's open a couple days of the week in the early season, then moves to a seven day a week schedule as the season progresses. Everything here is fresh and organic--and delicious! And the staff is helpful and friendly. You can't go wrong stopping at this farm and farm stand.

Bill's heirloom tomatoes are amazing! And they have lots of other excellent produce, including eggplant! The only problem last year was getting there before they sold out, but they are expanding their offerings in 2009 and have even put in a commercial kitchen, which now serves up ready-made items to go including juice, soup, bread, and reheatable entrees.
