I have the highest respect for the vendors coming from all over Washington and specifically eastern Washington. There is so much pride in the produce and the story of their farms. I enjoy diversity and seeing how farmers markets attract everyone of all socioeconomic backgrounds. I also give a shout out to the vendors that throw in an extra apple or fruit to those in need. It's held June to early October on Saturdays from 10am to 2pm. It's recommended to show up early, use public transit, bike or walk since the surrounding lot and side streets gets pretty full. Vendors representing the market, city, community organizations and services were there. There's also live music and kids activities. There's quite the variety of goods available like fresh flowers, fresh seasonal produce, baked goods, indie artisans and their wares, cheese, meat, eggs, food vendors, onsite coffee stand, cideries, handmade soaps, candles, honey, olive oils, etc. A pleasant way to spend part of your Saturday and show your support for farmers and independent businesses since 2012!

I think the host has a vetting process to make sure that each vendor is a family-owned business. That means no resellers, imported goods, or franchises which really ensures the uniqueness of each stall. Some of the vendors are farmers market only businesses. It's great to speak with the actual creator of the crafts and know their stories. It makes for very unique gifts too! Parking can be found along the residential area streets. I saw port-a-potties for restrooms. Be sure to walk around the adjacent downtown area for restaurants and more shops, or if it's a really nice day, head down to the waterfront and enjoy the water.

I didnt see it and parked down the road but the streets around here are on a hill so I had a bit of a trek. The ambiance was cute, friendly, and neighborly. There are two rows to walk through and the patio seating of a restaurant was playing live music so there was a fun ambiance. Surprisingly there were more food options than I expected and some really good options that I've seen at larger markets. I was able to get some delicioius peaches, and a mix and match deal of berries. I'd come to this market again if I'm in the area or lived in the neighborhood but because parking was a bit hard and the market is so small, I would say it was just OK.

Growing Washington changed the way we cook and eat!!! We've been members of this CSA for three years and have offered our front porch as a hosting site. They provide 100% LOCAL and ORGANIC fruits, veggies, and even butter, flour, fresh flowers, herbs, and eggs. All the products are fresh and unique. The BEST thing about this CSA is that they provide a LIST of all the FRESH stuff on the farm that week, and you CHOOSE what works best for your taste, cooking style, and needs. You can be adventurous one week, and conservative next week. It's all so flavorful and delicious. I've been particularly impressed with the service. We've been going with the CSA for three years and anytime there has been questionable quality they always replace it, no questions asked. Two weeks in a row we got some icky misuna, and the third week they sent us FLOWERS. I always feel like I end up on top. Just another reason to love summer in Seattle.
