I am ALL for buying local, and if you can afford it, this spot could be perfect for you... I think most will find it's not the most affordable. Example-- they are selling a box of apples for $35 but you could easily buy 20 pounds of apples for $20 from many of the local families in Stanwood/Mt Vernon/ Arlington. Garlic bulbs at Garden treasures are 20$ a pound-- again, you can get boxes of garlic bulbs for much cheaper from other nearby family farms. I could go on. Again, if you can afford it, this is a cool one stop shop for good crops. For my family (we are farmers too) it's just way too expensive/ not a good bang for your buck at all... especially in this economy. My suggestion is-- look to FB marketplace for amazing deals on seasonal crops, you'll get a lot more for your dollar and you're still shopping local.

Dalia is the owner and sole operator of Blueberry Acres. She operates during season Mondays-Saturdays from 9:00am-6:00pm. This year (2013) the price for u-pick is $1.90, which is the same as last year's price. Her blueberries are mostly organic. She sprays only once at the beginning of crop. There is an outhouse on site. She takes cash and local checks only. These are the best and biggest blueberries I have ever tasted. Go and experience it for yourself, before the season is over. I swiftly descended upon and scooped up a bottle of Oahacan Old Fashioned chocolate and chili bitters for mixing into some whiskey back home, completely oblivious that it said to mix with Mezcal on the bottle, but it worked really well my way, so no complaints! This is the sort of shop where I would spend far too much money on a regular basis, so I'm slightly thankful that I would have to drive five hours to get back here. But I also want to help their farm with a good review because this place is fantastic. They definitely deserve a glowing review. In the end I had to do the right thing and post my review, because I cannot say enough good things about this place. First of all, when you arrive there was enough parking for everyone that was out there. When we walked in there was a really nice lady who explained how the berry picking worked and what rows we could go in. She recommended a few aisles and it was awesome. There were some play places for the kids as well and they loved it. There was one area where if you paid $5, there was a bouncy pad that the kids could jump on. There was also a little place where they had some bunnies hanging out under a little bush. They were so cute. Now for the real review. These berries were awesome. My friend told me how huge these berries were and how sweet they are. I thought, is she for real? I thought she was exaggerating. But she wasn't! These berries were huge and sweet and oh so good! I couldn't believe it. I made a blueberry pie and it came out really good! You could taste the freshness of the berries. I loved it! I am definitely going back there again and after coming here, I'm not sure if I can go to any other blueberry farm. Even the kids who were a little reluctant could not stop going from bush to bush picking berries. I think my 8 year old son picked about 5 pounds by himself! We ended up with 21 points of blueberries! Not to worry. They will be gone by next weekend. OK. Now that I posted my review, don't forget to leave some blueberries for me.
