I had a wonderful facial last week--my first time at Pampering Faces. Ching is unusually knowledgable about facial structure, procedures, and products. I really liked the vitamin c products that she used on my skin., and I was happy that she sells small sizes so that I can try the product line at home. On top of my facial, I had a small microcurrent treatment and it was great. I was very pleased with the results. Ching gave me a specific recommendations based on my skin. I have been going to Ching at Pampering Faces for a little over a year now. My skin is slightly scared from acne when I was a teenager, and I've had some noticeable discoloration. Ching's method of applying different types of facial treatments in a single session has done wonders for my skin. Scaring has been reduced, and my skin is a lot softer than it used to be. She's also very good at guiding me with what take-home products to use, with specific directions in addition to explaining what each product is for. She offers a wide range of facial services, but I keep going back to her because of the high quality products that she uses. Ching understands skins conditions very well, so be vocal and express any concerns you have with yours. I'm currently in the middle of a session of treatments to help ease some rosacea and I have to say that my skin hasn't been this calm in years. Disappointed. This review is more so of the esthetician's business practices, vs services as I did not receive them due to her error. On Tuesday, I called Ching asking to schedule an appt for either Weds or Thurs. I was happily surprised to be offered an appt "tomorrow at 2" thinking the day before may be too last minute. I was able to take these 2 days off prior to me leaving town Friday. So I confirmed w/ Ching "Okay so that's tomorrow, Weds Dec 5th @ 2?" She confirmed & said "See you then." Our call ended. I show up a bit before 2 on Weds, knock on the door a few minutes ahead. I waited for a while & then knocked again. No answer. So thinking my knock may be faint, I call Ching to let her know I'm outside. She answers her phone letting me know "[she] has me down for 2 tomorrow, Thursday." Very shocked & disappointed, as I know for a fact as I wrote it down while we were on the phone that we scheduled for this day & time. I let her know I thought it was today, and she asks if tomorrow will work for me which I said yes, as I was greatly looking forward to having a facial done before I leave town. So I rearrange my now made plans for Thursday to make time for my facial. I arrive 20mins to 2 on Thursday, walk up the stairs w/ about 15mins to spare, go inside & patiently take a seat. I hear a voice over the phone ordering lunch to pick up in 10mins, I can see this office is a shared space between a CMT, & assume this voice is obviously not the woman to do my facial. A few minutes go by, as this same woman walks around the office space, she smiles to me & says hello, to me confirming my assumption that this is not Ching, thinking had it been she would've greeted & asked if I was her 2Oclock appt & brought me back. Shortly after she starts to head out, she stops at the door to ask me if I had let "her" know I was here referring I guess to a closed door adjacent to me. I say no, assuming since door was close that this person was w/ a client & that I'm looking for Ching. She responds "No she just had a client that left, just give it a light knock to let her know you're here." She heads out the door. I give the door a knock & a woman steps out, I let her know I'm the 2o Clock here for a facial. This woman responds she is a massage therapist & w/ a client, Ching is the woman that just left." & suggested I give her a call. At this point, I'm fed up w/ Ching's service. We already had an appt scheduled for Weds, then due to error she pushes it back to Thursday. I'm there Thursday & while in her face she doesn't even recall she had a 2Oclock appt. I call around to other estheticians locally to no avail for a same day appt, so this really ruined my hope for a facial before leaving town. I guess the only way to look at an upside is I saved my money on service not worthy. Hope anyone reading has better luck! read more

The prices are comparable to other salons of her caliber, if not lower and I had no difficulties in making appointments.
