The facility is clean and the staff is so nice. As I am Hispanic, I love that the women taking care of the infants are all Hispanic (personal preference). I love that they immediately told me all of the things they would need to care for him and that everything should be labeled. The fact that they need several changes of clothes, bibs, sheets, towels to keep him clean is a huge comfort for me. The fact that they requested detailed info about my son and what helps soothe/ease him etc is amazing. As a mom a big concern for me is leaving my baby with a stranger all day that doesn't know what he likes/dislikes. Also the fact that they have an app to communicate and send photos/updates throughout the day is so so great. They also include formula/baby food with is a huge plus. I honestly couldn't be happier. If you need a place for your kids and the location works for you I definitely recommend you check them out. (These were the only pictures I was able to take since I wasn't going to snap pictures with the kids in them. But the same way you see the pics from the business owner is how the place looked. So clean and nice.

The staff is caring, organized, and always willing to help, which creates a positive and welcoming atmosphere for students. A special thank-you goes to the amazing 4th grade teacher, Mrs. Kelly. Mrs. Kelly explains lessons clearly, challenges students to do their best, and makes learning engaging and meaningful. She also communicates well with parents and genuinely cares about each child's progress--academically and emotionally. Thanks to Mrs. Kelly's guidance and support, my child has grown more confident, responsible, and motivated to learn. We are very grateful to be part of Sunshine State Academy and highly recommend both the school and Mrs. Kelly to any family looking for a strong and nurturing educational experience.

It was founded by the same family that owned the Tutor Time Fort Lauderdale establishment, keeping the same high standards, efficient procedures, and good practices of the former Tutor Time childcare. The only difference is that this facility is so much better than the previous one! Security-wise I cannot ask for better, the building is brand new, all the toys and materials are new, the quality of the infrastructure is awesome, the eye-catching colors are perfect for a place devoted to kids, and the quality in general is the best. My daughter has been attending here since she was ten months old, and we are very happy we found this place. She has learned so much and made so many friends -even I've made friends with other parents too! My little one loves this place because she feels loved and spends great time in here. Teachers are amazing: positive, dedicated and caring. Detailed reports are given daily, and if anything out of the ordinary happens, they make sure that you get informed. The front office is extremely organized, and driven professionally in a friendly environment. The owners are awesome. They possess great managerial skills, caring to provide training to the staff, and rewarding them on various occasions. This is a very important key to have everyone motivated. Also they treat you like part of the family, greeting everybody by their first name, always with a smile, and going out of their way to personally known you and your child. On a negative note... there is no negative note!! We highly recommend this school to other parents. I wish I had another child so they can both go together to school :-)

If you're looking for a place where you can have that peace of mind, I wholeheartedly recommend this daycare! My firstborn started here when she was just one year old and stayed all the way through VPK. Now she's 12yr , and here I am again, trusting them with my second baby, who also started at one year old and will soon be turning four and attending VPK here as well. That alone says so much about how much I trust and appreciate this place. Coming back years later with my second child speaks volumes about the love, care, and confidence they have given our family. The director is always present, involved, and dedicated, and the teachers are truly amazing. You can feel that they genuinely love the children and care about their well being, growth, and happiness. They don't just treat your children like students; they make your entire family feel welcome and loved. They create an environment where your little ones can learn, grow, and feel safe, and that means everything to a mom. I will forever be grateful to the director and every teacher who has been part of my children's lives. Thank you for loving my babies, caring for them, teaching them, and giving me peace of mind when I have to be away from them. As moms, we can never put a price on that kind of trust and reassurance. If you're a mom searching for a daycare where your child will be more than just another student, where they'll be loved, protected, and treated like family, this is truly the place to go. I'm so thankful to have found them, and I couldn't recommend them enough! KR

It's taken me a couple of weeks to write this review but I feel its important to share my…read moreexperience with other parents. I reached out to Irene (owner) about registering my child in her daycare because my child's previous school was pretty far from my house and I wanted to free up my driving time. She was agreeable and the daycare felt like a small family so overall I left with a good impression. The first day that my child ( 2 years old , almost three) was there , I get a call at 12 pm because he refused to nap, was "hyper" and was "jumping on the sleeping bags" they set out. Mind you , this is his first day in a new environment. She asked if I could pick him up. I complied and grabbed him because I didnt know what else to do .. I had never had a daycare request this. The second day , I get a call at 11 am that my child was "going up the slide wrong way" and that he got on top of a child chair and tried to jump from it and got hurt.. could I pick him up ? By this point , I started to think that this daycare wasnt equipped to deal with toddler behavior. They weren't willing to assist him in acclimating to the school in anyway and were quick to disrupt my workday for situations they should have been able to resolve with a little patience. By the third day , they told me that they had to hire extra help to have my child in the class and that they didnt feel it was the right place for him (only five kids in the class). When i asked why , they said he was too hyper. They gave me two weeks to find a new daycare. Simultaneously, they kept telling me daily that "he was doing so much better" and no incident was ever recorded ( he wasnt biting , hitting, being aggressive, breaking things etc). Everytime I went to pick him up he was playing with a puzzle ( quietly) or playing normally in the playground. Obviously I became distraught over this experience because I work and needed reliable child care and also because she was insinuating my child had some sort of condition for which he needed extra assistance. I took him to the pediatrician , who evaluated him and confirmed that there was absolutely nothing I needed to worry about and that it was all normal toddler behavior. I then noticed that there was a clear shortage of teachers in the schools and that the teacher in my school app was not the same one in my child's classroom ( honestly I am almost positive she was an aid and not a teacher). Overall , if you are considering this daycare , I suggest you do a trial run to see if your kid meets the owners expectations of the owner and I encourage you to reconsider if reliable child care is needed.

Carole is extremely knowledgeable and has tremendous expertise and an impressive educational background. She clearly understands early childhood education, children, and development. Her staff are extremely caring and they really do treat the children like their own. Trusting your young child with someone all day, every day is hard but after seeing how wonderful Carole and her staff are and how happy my daughter is I didn't have a doubt in my mind that my daughter would be loved and taken care of and would learn in a safe, developmentally appropriate environment. It is very clean and organized and the "classroom" and children's space is a completely separate space in the house dedicated just for the kids. The children are able to play outside, have plenty of space inside for different centers, and are fed meals prepared by Carole -- no junk! This is not a day care or a babysitter. This is a place where young children learn and grow. Carole has structured lessons and activities that engage the children, incorporate nature, and teach developmentally appropriate skills for the 0-3 age range. Our daughter is more than prepared for Pre-K3 and has learned so much at Busy Butterflies. We will truly miss Carole and her staff but they will always be a part of our family! If you are fortunate enough to get a seat on her waiting list or a spot in the class don't pass it up.

As a first time mom it was very hard to just let her go anywhere. Christina and Voruska (her first teacher ever) were very reassuring and just so wonderful. After just a week all my worries and fear were gone. I just knew she was in the right hands and I had nothing to worry about. As the years have gone by from getting potty trained, to learning her ABC's, writing, being a good friend and sooo much more. She always comes home singing new songs and telling me about all the fun things they do in the day. I feel confident she is ready for kindergarten! I have met the most wonderful teachers and friends since she started school. My favorite part of her school is they keep you informed about your child not only about school work but also their health. Miss Madeline and Ms.Zuleima are the best vpk teachers a parent could ask for. Miss Madeline always keeps me in the loop of how my daughter is doing in school and the milestones she is reaching. I really appreciate knowing that her education is being taken seriously. My daughter loves going to school so much that she even asks to go on the weekends. my daughter is graduating this year and I am so sad to say goodbye to my second family. As a parent, there's nothing more painful than realizing that the place you trusted to care for and…read morenurture your child actually harmed her. My daughter attended Open Valleys Academy when she was just a toddler, and to this day--now 8 years old--she still talks about the trauma she experienced there. One of the most upsetting incidents involved a teacher named Luz, who was aggressive and rough with the children. My daughter was picked up by the ear--an absolutely unacceptable and abusive act. When I brought this to the attention of the principal, Cristina, she acted as if it was just a "misunderstanding" and brushed it off. There was no accountability, no investigation, no concern. Just excuses. My daughter cried almost every morning before going to that place, and at the time, I didn't understand why. I thought it was normal separation anxiety. I had no idea she was enduring such mistreatment. One day, at only 3 years old, she tried repeatedly to ask the teacher to let her use the restroom. The teacher ignored her, too "busy" to care. My daughter ended up wetting herself. Instead of compassion or understanding, the teacher humiliated her--putting a diaper on her and placing her in the baby room for the rest of the day. That act alone traumatized her. Open Valleys Academy failed my child in the most fundamental way. They did not protect her. They did not care for her. They silenced and ignored her. And the administration, especially Cristina, chose to look the other way rather than confront the cruelty happening under their own roof. No child should have to go through what my daughter went through. No parent should have to live with the guilt of unknowingly sending their child into a harmful environment. Please--if you're considering this school, look deeper. Listen to your child. Trust your gut. I wish I had.
