When the problem was not solved by these injections more than a year later, she recommended I connect with a Keloid removal doctor at Lexington Plastic Surgery. I spoke to them and they proceeded to pitch me a full-on radiation extraction. Not only was the cost prohibitive for this surgery, it was being sold similar to how a used-car company would operate. Really shady. So I decided to get a second opinion and was told it was NOT A KELOID. It was something called Calcinosis. The doctor removed the growth in less than 10 minutes and the cost of the procedure was less than $200. I was outraged that I had been MIS-DIAGNOSED FOR OVER A YEAR! Called the office last week to speak with Dr Julien. Of course she was unavailable. So I asked for her to call me back. You think I've heard from Dr Julian. NOPE. Beware of this place. I found another dermatologist.

And when I say complete, it is impossible to describe the amount of time he spends and his thoroughness. He is a hands on doctor ordering ALL the necessary and appropriate tests. It is, I am sure, far better than the treatment by others, like the Mayo Clinic, for example. When you go there, make sure you set aside additional time because he is not in a rush to get you out. It is not an assembly line like with so many other doctors.

There are three MDs but the PA Beena Jacob is excellent and not a "maniac cutter" like found in some dermatologist offices. The waiting room feels like that old drama show on FX called Nip/Tuck which displayed a relaxed elegance. The product shop is open next to the waiting room to browse and make purchases. Most of the items are intriguing but not inexpensive - search Amazon first. Although, the scented candles and soaps were colorful and custom shaped for a reasonable price. I thought Dr. A. was very nice and had a kind demeanor. I didn't care for her assistant as she seemed harsh and unfriendly. I also feel like if I go in for a yearly shin check, I should be laying on an examining table and not in an apparatus that is more like a chair. It was of putting to have to sit and then stand and then turn around and then sit back down while the doctor was squatting to check lower extremities and leaning over me to check my back. It was just weird. I'm not sure I would go back to this office. Not because of the Doctor but more for the uncomfortability of the examination.

This is the second time I've gone and they noticed 3 that they biopsied last time. They are very cut happy. My mom goes to a different place and usually has her moles frozen or lasered off and this place likes to cut it all for the biopsy. This was not a new mole, it was there last time I went, so I'm not sure why they wanted to cut it this time. They were very polite though and did not force anything instead obviously everything is up to me, as the patient. When I went to pay, I don't understand insurance. They put it through and said I owed over $100 and when I said that that's much much higher than my deductible they "ran it through a program again" and said it was $80. That's still much higher, but not much I can argue about. Not sure what to do about it.

You just can't underestimate the power of a smile. I saw the P.A., Kristian Williams (I knew beforehand) and she, along with the young lady who had greeted me earlier, made me feel very comfortable. I went to Dr. Rubinstein for a breast reduction after discussing my goals very clearly. Initially,…read moreI wanted to be much smaller, and after he advised that going too small would not look proportional on my body, we mutually agreed on a C cup result. Unfortunately, after surgery, I remained approximately the same size (around a DD) and did not achieve the reduction we discussed. To make matters worse, one breast is now visibly larger and sits higher than the other. I later learned that a 30cc larger implant was placed on my left side based on the doctor's own judgment. I never requested for one breast to be larger than the other, and I do not understand why that decision was made. Now my left breast protrudes noticeably out of bras and clothing and the asymmetry is very obvious in everyday wear. I brought bras and shirts into the office to physically show the problem, and during the examination Dr. Rubinstein himself acknowledged that the left side is larger and higher than the right. Despite admitting the unevenness, I was told I would still need to pay again for corrective surgery. I understand that no cosmetic surgery can guarantee perfection, but I do expect reasonable symmetry. I am very conscience because people have noticed and pointed out that my left breast is larger than my right. I will be posting pictures and more reviews.
