I was a patient of Dr Julian for a few years. When I started to experience some issues with a…read moregrowth on my ear, she diagnosed this issue as a Keloid and began giving me steroid injections every 8-10 weeks. When the problem was not solved by these injections more than a year later, she recommended I connect with a Keloid removal doctor at Lexington Plastic Surgery. I spoke to them and they proceeded to pitch me a full-on radiation extraction. Not only was the cost prohibitive for this surgery, it was being sold similar to how a used-car company would operate. Really shady. So I decided to get a second opinion and was told it was NOT A KELOID. It was something called Calcinosis. The doctor removed the growth in less than 10 minutes and the cost of the procedure was less than $200. I was outraged that I had been MIS-DIAGNOSED FOR OVER A YEAR! Called the office last week to speak with Dr Julien. Of course she was unavailable. So I asked for her to call me back. You think I've heard from Dr Julian. NOPE. Beware of this place. I found another dermatologist.

Most of the items are intriguing but not inexpensive - search Amazon first. Although, the scented candles and soaps were colorful and custom shaped for a reasonable price. I thought Dr. A. was very nice and had a kind demeanor. I didn't care for her assistant as she seemed harsh and unfriendly. I also feel like if I go in for a yearly shin check, I should be laying on an examining table and not in an apparatus that is more like a chair. It was of putting to have to sit and then stand and then turn around and then sit back down while the doctor was squatting to check lower extremities and leaning over me to check my back. It was just weird. I'm not sure I would go back to this office. Not because of the Doctor but more for the uncomfortability of the examination.

I called inquiring for an appointment and the lady I spoke with at their office was very short on the phone and rude and said they were taking appointments for new clients, but there was a four week wait, and I needed to fill out some form and provide my credit card to secure the appointment. Their policy sounded a little strange (along with the wait time) as I have been to other dermatologists in the Miami area who didn't have that long of a wait time and I've never needed to provide a credit card to secure the appointment. I told the employee that I needed to think about it and she said ok and just hung up on me. I thought the whole exchange was very rude and degrading. To compare, I called another dermatologist office in Hollywood and was treated with respect, booked an appointment on a Saturday two weeks out, and was treated like royalty when I got into the office.
