Great self-service car wash. Everything is set up really conveniently, and the whole process is quick and easy. The payment options are simple and very convenient, and the price came out much cheaper than at other car washes. I washed my truck in about ten minutes and still had enough time to wipe it down. I also liked that there is plenty of space, so if there is no line, nobody rushes you out right away. You can stay in the same spot and dry your vehicle properly. They even have a small faucet where you can wash your hands, which is a very nice detail. I bought extra tokens just in case, but I ended up not even needing all of them because the wash was so affordable and the time lasts longer than expected. read more

Came to wash my daily driver RAV4 . The Triple foam was not working took over 3 mins before spit anything out and once it started it was spitting out in pauses . The soap high pressure was did not work at all. The soap for the foam brush was very minimal. Was not worth the $14 it charge me! If you come here try to pay with tokens and do not use card. Quick & easy self care wash. I only come here to wash my car. It's never packed when I come and if all the spots are taken, people are really quick. I also like that when you use your card, the timer runs until you stop it. Rather than having to keep adding money. There are spots to dry your car, shampoo, and vacuum. read more

Alright I was hesitant thinking I'll be over charged by reading the reviews. I made sure I pressed stop when I was done and I used my atm card. I got billed 7.50 exactly what it said on the screen. The place was pretty busy but it moved fast. I thought I would be able to power wash then bucket wash my car but there are signs all over that prohibit bucket washing. I deducted a star because the amount of foam that comes out is extremely minimal. I wouldn't have cared so much but being I couldn't use my own stuff that made things harder than I would have liked. I'll come back. I'm thankful these places exist being we are in a drought and can no longer wash our cars at home :( - sure beats paying 60 bucks somewhere else to have other people wash my car. read more

I stopped going to the drive through car washes as I wanted to start washing my car more thoroughly myself. My hubby found this place and now I've been here probably ten times. This place is basically a self wash and dry that you pay for through a machine. You can choose different types of settings like pre rinse, wash, foam brush etc. For us we get our car washed for under $10 using rinse, wash soap, foam brush, and rinse again. It's therapeutic watching all the dirt wash off and doing the work yourself. Plus you burn some calories and gain arm muscle. As for the drying, don't use the machines. It is much more efficient to bring your own cloths for drying and do it yourself at the drying station. You don't have to buy their drying cloths! Some reasons why I didn't give it five stars is because sometimes the wash soap liquid comes out as a trickle. Sometimes other settings don't work properly- once carport 5 was glitchy. Also, there can be a wait as this place is popular. read more

I was born and raised in Willow Glen so I've been a customer of this place for as long as I can remember (I'm now 61 yrs old). It's nice that they refinished the asphalt but it's getting dirty to the point that I must remove my shoes before getting into the car (greasy asphalt is murder on the carpet). The new hoses for the wash brushes are absolute crap. They bounce around and are a serious deterrent to getting the car washed quickly. Occasionally I get a pressure sprayer that has ZERO pressure which effectively prevents me from completing the car wash. It's never the same bay, so, that's a crap shoot. There is NEVER anyone around to address issues or resolve lost bills in the change machine. They used to have envelopes to write your complaints on but those are nowhere to be found now. This is perhaps the dirtiest car wash I've ever seen. Trash everywhere every single time I've gone for the past 2 years. Some customers play music LOUDLY, despite signs prohibiting this activity. More and more often customers now feel entitled to use the wash bay even after they're done washing the car. I've seen people spend more than 20 minutes, while others are waiting, to clean the garbage out of their trunk and interior. The self car wash I usually go to was temporarily closed due to COVID-19, but this one is open! There was so many people washing, drying, and vacuuming their cars on Sunday. This place really utilizes it's parking structure because once you're done washing your car, finding a place to dry it is very compact. There are a bunch of spots but it can be somewhat compact and complex. You'll see what I mean once you go. My only other complaint is that they don't have the triple shine foam on the selections when washing. Other than that, I would come back here for a quick wash if my regular self car wash is closed again. They have tree fresheners available for purchase in the vending machine. They also have sham towels and cleaning supplies for purchase as well. read more

Great place to quickly hand wash your car for a decent price (starting at $3.50)! Huge win for this place would be the fact that you can pay with Card or Cash. Establishment can get pretty busy, especially during the weekends - so plan accordingly. Longest time I've waited for an open washing bay was 10 minutes. To keep my interaction around others at a minimum during COVID-19, I do not utilize the vacuums they offer by the car drying bays, although they do have them available at each bay for anyone's disposal. Instead, I just bring my cordless mini vacuum with me so I can clean that way. I also find using my own vacuum more sanitary in some ways. Please note, coins can only be used in order to use these vacuums! Overall verdict for this self use car wash: 3.5 stars PRO TIP: - After washing down you car, make sure to turn the knob to OFF and then press the red button so your card will no longer be charged. - Drying towels are NOT provided, so make sure to bring your own towels and other finishing sprays to clean up your car. read more

Updating my 2-year old review. I recently visited this place after few months of break and was surprised to see that they have given a fantastic upgrade to their system. I used the credit card, went through the wash twice, and used the "STOP" green button in between. It worked great. I am able to see that the upgrade aligns with what I recommended 2 years ago in my review under "Recommendation to the Management". Is there such thing as a favorite car wash? Well, this is my favorite self serve car wash :) Can get busy sometimes on the weekends, but I don't mind the wait. I used to just bring coins for the machine, but have since started using the credit card payment. They pre-authorize $10 and then stops charging when you press done - very easy and convenient. Everything seems well maintained even though it's not the "newest". Never had any issues here. Careful with the driveway on the northside of the car wash, pretty steep and can scratch the bottom of your car. read more

Pals is a great place to get the car wash in Willow Glen. After the remodel, the water pressure in most bays are great (although I think the timer is less than the 4.5 minutes...even though it says that I've "purchased" 4.5 minutes...) There's a change machine out front and the car wash bay also takes credit cards. There are good ~6-8 car wash bays to minimize on the wait time for a wash bay. Outside the wash bay, there are a good ~6-8 vacuum spots that can also be used to dry/detail the car! Keep an eye out for folks that rummage through the trash cans for bottles etc.! read more

Classic Do-It-Yourself car wash. Has lots of stalls and space to dry car in open space. The machine accepts credit card and you get charged the time you use. Make sure you press Stop if you use credit card. Everything is very easy. I used just the water and I use my own soap and bucket. I choose times when there is no queue and I haven't had any problems with it. The tap on the sink is at low position and it's hard to fill the bucket with water. A great place to spray off the grime, sludge and droppings!!! This is a DIY car wash, and the hose pressure is great! I usually prepare myself by bring a stack of quarters. They accept credit cards which is very convenient if it's not tapped by a scammer. It sucks that you must look over your shoulder while washing your ride! This self-service car wash could use a refresh however it is all you need and it accepts credit cards as well as cash (quarters). Be careful when entering and exiting the lot as the entranceway is extremely steep. It is very easy to scrape your car's bumper and potentially crack it. Went in the morning during the week. To pay there is a tap credit card payment. Options on how to start your wash. Easy enough to use. I moved quickly or get charged more. I was in and out, under three dollars. Bring your own towels to dry your car. Space is limited. No hassles and no one disturbs me as I washed or dried my car. The best thing about washing your car at this location is that there are many stations so you don't have to wait in line for too long. The water pressure is fine and the foam brush dispenses ample soap, so you have all the ingredients for a reliable carwash center. Make sure to bring some towels and elbow grease to dry up your car afterwards. Some of the tougher stains that have dried on my car will not come out after the wash, but those average dirt particles will come off pretty easily with these hoses. read more

The whole place was dirty and smelled like trash. Used the vacuums and hands were dirty after using them- looks like they never clean anything. I can't imagine how much crud rubbed off as I vacuumed out my car. Realize car wash vacuums aren't the cleanest items in the world but they should at least be changed out every so often. At the very least they shouldn't look like a gas station bathroom floor. I believe the majority of this problem is due to the car wash lot being blacktop, which likely won't change. It's great to be able to hand wash your car with just the right amount of water pressure and soap brush and rotating equipment without increasing your water bill. The change exchange machine failed to work halfway through exchanging my dollar bills so I ended up with $3 in quarters. I tried using those quarters to get some more wash rags and the machine ended up eating $2 of my coins! So the coin operated machinery needs to be updated for sure. Or at the very minimum, have a uniformed employee around so we can get our money back when the machine eats our money!! In the end, I had to use my credit card to wash my car. ALSO, there should be a public NOTICE that when using a credit card, they charge a temporary $10 per swipe that I read from another Yelp reviewer later gets deducted to the correct amount (based on usage). When I was much younger and bought my first car it was my most valuable, prized possession. I spent so much time and energy on it: tricking it out with custom mag wheels and a speed shifter, installing a badass high-watt stereo system that could wake the dead, changing my own oil, spark plugs and washing that baby by hand every week in my bikini. Bikini? No, just kidding, I'm a dude. I don't wear bikinis (outside in public). I used to love the ritual of hand washing and waxing my car. It was a fun activity which was quite rewarding for me. Somewhere down the line life got busy and complicated and/or I got lazy and started taking less pride in my cars, letting more time lapse between washes, not cleaning up the spillage very well, etc.... I also started taking my cars to people to do the washing for me. So fast, so convenient, right? Nothing wrong with this, just get your car washed one way or another people. Don't be that person with "wash me" written in the dirt on your back window (are you that person? nah). Lately, I'm back to DIY hand washing. It's literally been years, and now there are hardly any DIY car washes left on the planet. Fortunately there's Pals Quick Carwash on Lincoln in Willow Glen. It's a good ol' fashioned coin-operated car wash with half-a-dozen-or-so stalls for washing and an equivalent number of vacuum stations. On sunny weekend days this is a favorite place for me to kill a few hours running my cars over to wash and hand dry. For what I need Pals does the trick. I have used their vacuums, and they work well, but I prefer my set up at home for vacuuming so I usually just do a wash and dry here. They have a change machine for breaking paper money into coins. In addition to coinage they also accept credit cards, but be careful and hit the red "stop" button when you are finished or your card will continue to be charged up to $10 or until the next customer starts their wash. My only complaint about the place is that the stalls and parking lot are very dirty. Lots of debris and after washing the car, sometimes the tires will fling this junk on the clean car making it instantly unclean again. They could stand to pressure wash the stalls and lot daily. That uses precious water, I know, Jerry Brown would be pissed at me for saying this, perhaps you are too, sorry to offend, gov'nuh. There's probably a waterless solution to this problem though, a sweeper or something. I'm not an expert, just a concerned citizen. I'm proud to say that I am way in to washing my own cars again. If you don't wash yours regularly and one day it disappears and then reappears clean, it might be me doing you a solid. It could happen. That sticky stuff that was spilled on your carpet though? I had rated this car wash highly but after realizing that the last three times that I washed my car here and paid with a debit card they had overcharged me I had to update my review. All three times I had spent less than 6 dollars. Even today, I supposedly spent $6.25, the machine told me so.
