My experience with Dr. Golnaz and the Paloma Dental staff has been amazing! I personally hate going to the dentist, but Dr. Golnaz really makes it a much better and tolerable experience. Their office is really clean and they have really nice TV's with Netflix! I went in for my 6-month check up and discussed with her about wanting Invisalign and come to find out that she is a certified to treat for Invisalign! As someone who has already had braces, I was really scared about getting Invisalign for some reason, but she was so patient, answered all of my crazy questions, and put me at ease. I really only wanted 1 cosmetic thing fixed on my teeth, but she ended up fixing my bite too and I never realized how important that was! I'm soooo happy with how my teeth came out and I can't recommend Dr. Golnaz enough to help you with your Invisalign journey and all of your dental needs! read more

DO NO HARM Paloma Dental Beyond horrible. Billing department submits duplicate claims under out of network dentist. They should be correcting the claims but instead they are being denied (again) for duplication. Submitting fraudulent claims for a crown that wasn't done. Now my insurance is maxed out and I have to pay out of pocket to have a permanent crown put on by another dentist. Last night the temp crown cracked and fell off after only two days and while they specifically said they would do emergency treatment for 30 days, they are now denying me emergency treatment for an exposed, throbbing tooth. That's in addition to a raw, bleeding cheek where the temp crown had been left with sharp edges. They also video tape you without consent which is a HIPAA violation. DO NOT HARM Paloma read more

On the fence about whether I'll be coming back. One of the attractions to me about this office was its COVID precautions; I appreciated that their website mentioned HEPAs in rooms and that staff wore respirators (I even called in advance to make sure these precautions were still active). In my first appointment, there was a HEPA in the room, but it was not plugged in or running; I had to ask for it to be turned on. In a second appointment, I didn't see the HEPA at all and had to ask. The staff did put on a respirator for me, but I feel we're on different wavelengths, here...what kind of irked me was one of the doctors saying they've had it twice, both times on vacation, and they weren't aware of an infection happening in their office. I understand that experience. However, I've had COVID once, and I've had lingering issues. My experience has been different...I won't go somewhere where I don't feel safe, and quite frankly I don't feel the precautions are consistent here. read more

Alexandra has taken care of me for almost 2 years now and always listens to my concerns. I've got my teeth cleaned multiple times and anytime something bad has come up, the team always suggests solutions (even if it doesn't include them, which is rare these days). They seem to have good availability and are very responsive if you have random dental questions. You can also watch Netflix while getting your teeth done, which is a bonus! Have never had an issue with this place in 2 years. Would recommend! If your teeth/gums hurt during the procedure, that's your problem for not having good oral hygiene, not Paloma's. read more

It takes a lot for me to write a bad review. My cognitive dissonance with Paloma is purposeful deception. History which led to (1) appointment at Paloma Dental: * I have a tooth next to implant which I know from 6 month old X-rays and 2 other dentists is on the edge of failing due to deep cavity that is just mm or less from the root. * On Paloma website extraction is a Listed Service they provide. * In Many emails back and forth with Paloma owner Dr Basset, I explained condition and concern illustrated above, had previous X-rays of problem tooth forwarded, and specified reason for visit as "lower left premolar deep cavity needs extraction.' * Responses from Paloma with regard to treating this tooth in the form of extraction is "If it's urgent, Yes. We will do it." * I book appointment with Paloma. Insurance pays for (1) of (2) annual X-rays and exams, which I did not request or anticipate but Paloma designated as "necessary." Paloma's conclusion about tooth is same as my own such as I've learned from 2 other dentists: - cavity is too close to root to waste time on. Will break through any day, causing infection next to implant. This cannot happen as it threatens the well-being of adjacent implant, and my health. Situation: URGENT. Paloma agrees. * After appointment, Dr, Basset informs me that she has decided she no longer does extractions. 10 days after Dr. Basset emailed me personally to say she would extract a tooth in urgent situations, which is why I booked appointment with her. And, Dr Basset agrees that this is an urgent situation. * Bottom line: as patient, I call bait and switch. Situation such as I've described is and has been consistent since day one w/re to communication to and from Paloma starting 3 weeks ago. Paloma website states they will do " extractions." After receptionist told me "no more extractions", i was looking for other providers. Then out of the blue, Dr. Basset emailed me persnally to say 'yes, I will do extractions in urgent situations." * Appointment set and followed through at Paloma to include "mandatory" things I did not request: exam, X-rays, gum assessment. Then finally, confirmation of urgency w/re problem tooth, plus new info - "i have now decided that I don't do extractions anymore. "I'm now an "above gums dentist" only." * "Jeez Doc. Just tell me. Why bring me here to do things which I did not ask for and then refuse to do that which I did ask for, and you agreed to. In writing?" And why the sudden change? Even you characterize my tooth situation as urgent." * I am referred to a dentist who will do extractions. One that even his firm responds to the heap of horrifying reviews in the form of "you are correct and we apologize for his unprofessional ethics and behavior. Rest assured he no longer works here.' * Me? After waiting weeks based on false premise, I'm back at square one. For believing what Dr Basset communicated to me personally after I had cancelled appointment. Me? Oh, yeah, I'm on the phone with Cigna and Capital One. This is 100% purposefull deception and a rip off There is no way I can figure out why Dr. Bassett, wouldhave wasted my time and put my health in further jeopardy. All I can conclude is "vulnerable and easy pickings =$$$$." Dr Basset What was the purpose of you following that up with an unsolicited email stating "I will do extractions in urgent situations."? Do you understand the word "professionalism"? I do not mind if you will not do extractions, but don't come back to me promising that and then withdrawing willingness to do procedure at the appointment after having charged for services not requested, confirming that the tooth situation is "urgent." . I Hate to be crude, but #$&@# "nonsense", Dr Basset. I read your responses to others about putting your heart and soul into your business. Any response to this review which states that, or any other kind of goal-post moving nonsense " reasons" from you will not wash. Everything I've spoken about here is documented in email to and from you, and I would not be once again pounding the pavement seeking treatment, this time w/o insurance to pay for exams, if you had actually followed through with what you promised, yesterday. And I will be contacting Cigna, and Capital One, Cmnsumer protection agency and any other avenue I find. There's no excuse for this. For dental patients at large: IMO Paloma is a boutique dental office that in no way addresses or considers patient health. In my experience, Paloma website, and Dr Basset's word mean nothing. Came here on a recommendation from a coworker as my former dentist retired. I really wanted to love this place since it's walking distance from my house. Unfortunately, I will probably not be returning. Arrived about 15 minutes early for my appointment. Check-in was easy. I was called back to my chair and the hygienist starts getting ready to take x-rays. I asked her, "am I actually due for x-rays?" and she said, "oh, I don't know, we just always do them for new patients." I asked her to please check my insurance first because I don't remember when was the last time I had them. She walked off for a few minutes and came back saying, "it'll be fine because we always do them for new patients!" Hmm... ok...I don't think that's how insurance works but if you say so. (I know it's my responsibility to know when I'm due for what benefits, but a good dental practice should also be well aware). So after the x-ray (which took twice as long as they used to at my old dentist), the dentist herself came in (not the owner, it was a different one). She proceeded to go through a "gum health check" which took at least 20 minutes and was absolutely *grueling*. Poked my gums repeatedly and kept saying, "BLEEDING!" and ok, I know I don't floss as much as I should, but pretty sure she contributed to the bleeding with her deep poking. Then the dentist and the hygienist disappeared for 25 minutes. Like, I was just sitting there watching Planet Earth the whole time. Finally the hygienist comes back and does the polishing part, then the dentist did the ultrasonic waterpik-cleaning part (which the hygienist used to do at my old dentist, but whatevs). Dentist says I had "hardly any plaque buildup." So I apparently have horrible bloody gums but no plaque? It just didn't add up. I got ready to go and I was awaiting my free toothbrush and goody bag... and got nothing. Long and short, I was there for almost TWO HOURS for a basic cleaning, didn't get the standard free toothbrush/toothpaste/floss, and I'm fairly confident I'll end up getting stuck with an out-of-pocket bill for the damn bitewings (annoying). It was just a really frustrating situation and I won't be back. read more

Needed a new dentist after moving to the area & Paloma was recommended to me by a friend. Loved the fact they're all women & so kind! The added bonus of having access to watch Netflix while they cleaned my teeth was fun. I can't say enough positivity about Dr. Alexandra Bassett. She's what every dentist should aspire to be, honest and trustworthy and who strives for excellence in her practice. Unfortunately, like many others, in the last ten years besides I've had all other dentistry practices fail me. From having shoddy work done, work done that was shoddy that then led to complications and 20k in more dental work being done that wouldn't have been necessary....I have been through the ringer at a mere 30 years old. So finding Paloma Dental has given me some hope back in getting some ease with it all. Dr. Bassett in my opinion is one of the minority of dentists who actually wants to help people and not just line their pockets. She has gone out of her way to consult with a jaw specialist for me without me even expecting or asking of it. I am 31 weeks pregnant and she has made me feel as comfortable as possible while going through the pain of getting a crown re-done. Front desk staff is very helpful as well as her dental hygienists. It's like a little family over at Paloma Dental and for anyone else who has had very bad experience in the past with dentists, I urge you find the faith to try again with Dr. Bassett. :) read more

After my X-ray, I was seated in the chair and handed a very dirty pair of glasses to put on my face for protection. Later when the dentist asked me how it was going, I mention to her that they should clean the glasses before handing them to patients. She stated that the glasses were clean. When I asked her to relook at them again, she stated that they were not dirty but the cleaning material etched the glasses so they only 'looked' dirty. I was surprised at these statements because earlier I was able to clean the lenses a bit before I put them on, and wonder how my wipe the etching off with my shirt. Having dirty glasses given to me makes me wonder about the other items that get skipped. I didn't see anything, but I'm concerned if the small things get skipped on cleanliness, what else may be skipped. During this post pandemic time, cleanliness should be at the top of the list for items that are shared between patients. I would not recommend this dentist's office. read more

My favorite parts about Paloma Dental are the name, the TV screens to watch Netflix on the ceiling, and the overall vibe of the office. Also - they have an incredible texting system that texts you if they miss your call which is amazing. The doctor is a young female too which is nice because it seems like most dentists are men. We love to see representation :). My least favorite thing which is why I gave a 4/5 and not 5 stars is the last hygienist I had didn't seem that professional. She kept reaching over my head to type her notes while she was cleaning which was really weird to me because her lab coat was touching my face. read more

This is the most amazing dental office I have ever been to! I was referred by a coworker who also raved about the place. First and foremost, the office is so nicely decorated I almost wish it was my living room. Both the staff and Dr. Bassett are so friendly, patient, and understanding. When it comes to the dentist, I am not an easy patient to deal with. I have extremely high anxiety but they made sure I was comfortable the entire time, constantly reassuring me that it was okay to be afraid and to take as many breaks as I needed to make sure that I was at ease. To top things off...there is even a TV mounted on the ceiling! You can choose any Netflix show you like and they even provide headphones! (I watched Parks and Rec the whole time!) Nitrous oxide is available to ease anxiety which is a huge bonus for me. I can honestly say this is the absolute best dental visit I have ever had! read more

My husband, 4 years old son and I started going to Paloma dental when they opened, I think 2-3 years ago.. we were so happy until we noticed some black spots in 4 of my son's molars and we asked at least a couple of times and Dr. Basset just told us they were stains and everything was fine.... a couple of months ago we asked again and she told us that they were stains and MAYBE one of them was a cavity.... we just went to a pediatric dentist and my son has 6 giant cavities + 2 smalls. The dentist told us that there is no way that they just appeared, they had been in my son's molars for years and she never noticed them!!! We will never be back and totally not recomendable! read more

I went to the same dentist for 10+ years before moving to Colorado. I waited 2 years to book an appointment out of fear of the dentist in general. Finally I booked with Dr. Bassett. The office is up to date with new technology such as hand held X-ray, TV on the ceiling, etc. The staff and dentist know exactly what they're talking about. I made an appointment for a cleaning and since they were listed under my insurance as being in my network, I decided to go with them. When I arrived for my appointment, I was told I had a co pay of roughly $100 and that they are actually out of my network. And also stated they recently updated some of their policies so that could have played a factor as well. Not sure if they check people's insurance in advance, but would have been nice to know I wasn't going to be 100% covered in advance before taking time out of my day for the appointment. And obviously, I would have just went elsewhere. Since I was already there I decided to pay the co pay and go ahead with the cleaning and look for another dentist later. Upon further evaluation, I was told I'd need a "deep cleaning" and it would be $400 on two separate occasions and I contact them if I'm interested in taking that route. They also didn't even bother to give me a standard cleaning. I basically spent around $100 for them to take x-rays and tell me I need a deep cleaning. Such a waste of time and money. And definitely felt ripped off! Very disappointing. read more
