As an out of state customer, Ryan spent almost 20-30 minutes on the phone with me explaining…read moredetails regarding the Ultra Reef Protein Skimmer I was thinking of purchasing. He took the time to going over the different sizes and how to choose an appropriately sized unit, how it would fit into my sump, how to dial it in once I got it, and many other specifications and nuances about the skimmer. I truly appreciate the great customer service I received and look forward to purchasing more products from him in the future. It is a rarity these days to get someone on the phone right away who will answer your questions and help you without transferring you to another person, putting you on hold, or having you submit a ticket and I really appreciate this. His knowledge on the skimmer was quite extensive as well. Thanks Ryan!

I ordered, and paid for, a Bashsea Bio-Fuge Sump for my 90-gallon aquarium on September 22. At the…read moretime of purchase, the website indicated an expected delivery date of October 2, and I received an email stating that I would be notified once the item shipped. Unfortunately, I have received no shipping update or meaningful communication since placing the order. I have emailed customer support three times, left a voicemail, and attempted to call the store multiple times, but every call has gone to voicemail and I have received no response. I understand that shipping delays can happen, especially with specialized aquarium equipment, but a lack of communication is much harder to accept. Simply acknowledging my inquiries and providing an updated status would go a long way toward maintaining customer confidence. At this point, this experience does not reflect the level of customer service I would expect from a company seeking to earn and retain my business. I will update this review if and when the situation is resolved. If I continue to receive no response, I intend to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

I had a very disappointing experience with Aqua World…read more Before making the trip, I spoke with them over the phone and clearly explained the size of the fish I was bringing -- approximately one foot each. We agreed on a trade based on that information. I then drove about two hours to the shop. When I arrived, they placed the fish in their tank and then told me they were "too big" for their system. This was confusing because I had already been very clear about their size during our phone conversation. After driving such a long distance, it was frustrating to have them change their position. The fish were slightly stressed from transport, which is normal after a two-hour drive, but they were healthy. I was told they "weren't happy with the way they looked," and no trade was offered at all. Not even a partial trade. Overall, it felt like a waste of time and gas, especially after we had already discussed and agreed on the details beforehand. I just wish they had honored their word or at least tried to work something out. Very disappointing experience.
