He only recommended what was needed, and did not try to up sell. I wanted to get the HVAC system replaced before moving into the new place, but had a ceremonial event a few days prior. Tim made sure to plan the installation date such that there would not be any interruptions or half done work or clutter during the ceremony. Then, on the day of installation (which was one day before my move in date) there were severe storms, and the entire neighborhood lost power. Tim and his boys worked in the dark using flashlights, the entire day, to ensure that the job got done! He then came back when we had power to make sure everything was working just right. We called Will, and he made time to come out the next evening. He was able to easily diagnose the problem as a blown capacitor and fixed it at a very reasonable price. We were up and running with a working a/c that same night! Will also remembered some of our other ongoing needs, with another aging a/c on our house and issues with our duplex rental. No problem we stayed with them knowing that we had to pay for each of the two maintenance visits. Then we found they were becoming unreliable about keeping scheduled appointments. The first appointment they cancelled 1/2 hour after they were supposed to have been here. "Our technician was unable to make it in today so we will have to reschedule this appointment." Big frustration since my husband had taken the day off work to be here for the appointment. We rescheduled and they cancelled the next visit the day before the appointment. The husband was in the background literally yelling. I had to ask her to stop emailing me, in which she continued. I threatened to call the county attorney if she didn't stop. Not only did she NOT stop she had an officer call me to get my side of the story. He then called her to ask her to stop calling me. She is very dishonest. I do not post negative comments unless I feel the public needs to know. No business should ever scream and tag team a customer over nothing. It is on record however. I will NEVER use them again as well as 5 other people I have found in Oldham that feel the same. A good friend had a similar experience with them both. They are fake, not genuine people, it was their unprofessionalism that shocked me. Again, they will respond to this because they are terrified of a bad review, but I must tell others about my experience And share the truth! They have now updated their response FOUR times and is adding personal information about me on here that will likely result in a lawsuit as some should be very confidential. The owner called me back within fifteen minutes and began to trouble shoot everything over the phone. I was very impressed with his knowledge and how he was able to guide me around my furnace over the phone by describing exactly what I was looking at. He guided me to the problem and was able to get one of my units up and going with something he would find easy, but something I would not have known to do! The second unit was not as easy but he again began to troubleshoot some things to lower what he would have to do when he was able to come out to my house. Due to the trouble shooting over the phone, he arrived early on Monday and was able to have the second unit going in the matter of 30 minutes. Came home one night to an A/C unit making a hum noise. As I went to investigate, I narrowed the…read moreproblem down to the fan. I looked up some nearby A/C servicers in the area and read good things about Steve Roberts. I made the call and left a message around 10:30AM. I got a call back some time later and Steve Roberts arrived around 1:30 PM. I greeted him at the door and took him to the problem. After looking around he pulled the truck around and got some tools and proceeded to dismantle the conditioner. When the panel was removed he checked the fan to make sure that was the problem. Sure enough, it was. He made a call to his associates that were on the way back from Lexington. He asked if they had a part and sure enough that had one. ETA 15 minutes. Mr. Roberts pulled the breaker and removed the fan. We talked a bit while we waited for his crew to arrive with the part. He is very knowledgeable and from my point of view, really knows his stuff. We talked about cost, repair and checkups for the rest of my equipment. I bought the subjects up, not Mr. Roberts. It's usually the other way around. The crew had arrived and removed the part out of the box. The shaft had to be shortened a little and a capacitor had to be installed as well. Once installed and put back together, the fused was replaced. They then said to turn it on to test it. Everything was working. I was very happy. they tested the freon and said it was at acceptable levels and I did not need any charging. I got the bill, wrote the check and shook his hands. They were done by 3 PM. They were very nice and answered any questions that I had. I would recommend them.
