I looked up some nearby A/C servicers in the area and read good things about Steve Roberts. I made the call and left a message around 10:30AM. I got a call back some time later and Steve Roberts arrived around 1:30 PM. I greeted him at the door and took him to the problem. After looking around he pulled the truck around and got some tools and proceeded to dismantle the conditioner. When the panel was removed he checked the fan to make sure that was the problem. Sure enough, it was. He made a call to his associates that were on the way back from Lexington. He asked if they had a part and sure enough that had one. ETA 15 minutes. Mr. Roberts pulled the breaker and removed the fan. We talked a bit while we waited for his crew to arrive with the part. He is very knowledgeable and from my point of view, really knows his stuff. We talked about cost, repair and checkups for the rest of my equipment. I bought the subjects up, not Mr. Roberts. It's usually the other way around. The crew had arrived and removed the part out of the box. The shaft had to be shortened a little and a capacitor had to be installed as well. Once installed and put back together, the fused was replaced. They then said to turn it on to test it. Everything was working. I was very happy. they tested the freon and said it was at acceptable levels and I did not need any charging. I got the bill, wrote the check and shook his hands. They were done by 3 PM. They were very nice and answered any questions that I had. I would recommend them.

I knew I needed a new air conditioning unit, as it has been working poorly and leaking for years, and I was told by another HVAC company in the fall that my furnace was dangerously in need to replacing. Wyatt came out and looked over everything. I gave him every opportunity to take advantage of the situation. I was prepared to replace a furnace and two air conditioning units if need be. In the end, Wyatt recommended replacing one air conditioning unit and told me the furnace was safe and not in need to replacing. He recommended I upgrade from a 2 ton unit to a 2.5 ton unit. Aaron came out to replace the air conditioner a few days later. He did a great job and left minimal debris to clean up. The new system cools my upstairs better than I had even hoped for. Value? I really don't know. Everything seems so high now. But I would say that Wyatt could have socked me with a furnace a two air conditioners, so the value I'd say is with the honest evaluation and recommendations you get. I wanted to work with simply an HVAC company, not one of these do it all HVAC, plumbing, and electrical businesses they all seem to be moving to. I like people who focus and specialize. The hvac supervisor was made aware of my issue the day of installation and I was told he would contact me. Guess what.... that has never happened to busy to reach out to a very unsatisfied customer. When I call their customer service everyone seems so helpful but all they do is listen with no action. I would not recommend and am very disappointed, to spend that much money and hate what they did to my house is very upsetting and the company sure doesn't seem to care that they have a unhappy customer!!
