My journey with Adam began more than two years ago. I suffered injuries from a work-related fall that resulted in broken bones, multiple surgeries, and two+ months in hospital/rehab care. The rehab physician suggested I retain a lawyer, as there could be ongoing problems related to my injuries. My employer initially refused my claim, arguing that the task I was performing when injured was not technically within my job description. Adam challenged this, resulting in the insurance company's agreement to pay my medical bills and the lawfully allowed portion of my part-time salary until I could return to work. A secondary nerve injury continues to interfere with my ability to work and my daily life. The insurance company would like to close my case, and I don't blame them -- I, too, am sick of the ongoing pain and debility. As I now anticipate further medical intervention and physical therapy, Adam stands by me, and has said he will support me in providing for my ongoing care and well-being. Yes, he is sometimes slow to return a phone call -- but this has taken persistence from both of us. I know I can count on him to see me through to the end. read more
