    A lot of homeless mainly
    Cari R.

There's a lot of like homeless people in there! I would say majority. More than regular visitors. I was kinda scared. I didn't see any security guard. There where 2 nonservice dogs with no leash. One was a pitbull!! Its ghetto in there . I know they need somewhere to be but, dang. I just didn't feel safe.See my pictures

    Cookbooks galore and kids books

They offer great kids programs and events here for the family. This library also has a great selection of cookbooks and recipe books. It also has a really good kids section with books for all ages. I come here often with my grandchildren and they love it although some of the homeless people are dangerous. They shouldn't be in there carrying on especially around children. Palmdale needs to do more for them.

It's a nice quiet library and one of our favorite places to visit once a week. We attended a children's reading yesterday morning 10-10:30am at the park near the library... decent turnout n the story readers were animated n great!! There were also Spanish n ASL lessons incorporated in the songs n readings. It was a half hour event, kids were engaged, the staff n volunteers passed out water, snacks, gift bags, toys as well as information on reading programs n future events... we truly appreciate these awesome folks. Very kind n dedicated employees.

Antelope Valley College - Thursday evening was incredible with the humble & gracious Professor Angela Y. Davis interviewed by President Jennifer Zellet at #AVC

If you want to transfer to a four-year university, there is a program that helps you navigate through all the courses you need. The transfer counselors care about the students and are more than happy to help them. Their goal is to get you to a university. The student service programs that AVC have is expertly helpful. They have a Learning Center, which is one of the most beneficial areas for students to achieve. There are FREE tutoring services for almost all the courses. From art to engineering, there is most likely a tutor. If not, you can request for one to be found. The only part about AVC that I don't like are the restroom facilities. They are always dirty, and sometimes a majority of toilets don't work or are broken in some way. They are also usually out of soap too, so I have to keep a bottle of hand sanitizer with me. All in all, Antelope Valley College is an outstanding school and is a great place to start if you want to further your education.

The staff mentioned it was very difficult and competitive. And maybe it is but it is not their job to discourage or feel anyone discriminated. Not sure if my age or I hate to even say that status also was part of it. A more professional way to handle it would have been just to say "talking to a counselor would give you a better understanding of what fits better for you". Unfortunately this is the second bad experience I have at AVC I can now see why people I know decide to go to COC or moopark

When people think about NASA, they tend to lean towards the space aspect fo the agency, but at its core the first "A" stands for Aeronautics. NASA has been at the forefront of everything aviation since its earliest incarnation (NACA). From research into basic flight to the exotic, it drives innovation that we the public may never see but experience every time we fly. The center is involved in many ongoing projects such as the Lockheed Martin X-56, X-57 Maxwell, X-59 QueSST etc. They also as other reviews noted the home for SOFIA. The portion of the center on Edwards AFB is generally off limits unless you have actual business on the base and there does not appear to be any tours of the Plant 42 location. However, the plane spotting in the area is fantastic and if you are lucky you can catch many of the aircraft conducting flight operations.
