This library was so clean and peaceful. Staff was very welcoming and helpful. I definitely recommend anyone that works from home or just needs some alone time to stop by and spend some time here. Five stars for the location, adequate parking, and the decor inside & out. I did not interact with…read morethe librarians, but saw them working behind plexiglass shields. They looked earnest & engrossed in their duties. Friday, 5/2/22, I visited this library for a one hour lesson in writing a "love letter will." It was interesting and I learned a few things. It was also a pitch for estate planning and wills, but I'm happy with our attorney and our will. I took the useful brochure with me. Afterwards, I wandered down the wide hallway to the double glass doors to peruse the books for sale in the front of the library. Prices were reasonable. I also looked around at the plethora of books and other materials that patrons could check out. But I had to call this visit short. I had to hurry to Palm Harbor to lead a class (Tai Chi for Balance). I hope to return for a more in depth look at what this majestic library offers.

While not the largest library in the county, it is definitely the most modern. The library is well lit, with lots of natural light and lots of outlets. There are also study rooms available to reserve. The staff is kind and helpful. The patrons here are also very respectful and unobtrusive. There also is a lobby area where you can eat food and fill up your water bottle with filtered water. I wish all the libraries in the county had this amenity! Overall great place to get work done or just relax.

I really like this library I always come with my toddler &…read morethe library has so much to offer children! They have a couple classes geared specifically for dancing/reading/crafts. Their library for the littles is set up with several computers, one is a special one that is touch screen & has so many kids learning activities on it. My daughter loves drawing with it, but it covers a lot material i.e. if your child wanted to practice a subject or even learn typing skills. They put the effort in here. There are themes so if a holiday is approaching there's coloring sheets put out for kiddos, as well as other thoughtful snippets to tie into. For example, Poetry month was April (I think?) & they put out poetry books on display & had poems to take home. So cute! I haven't explored the rest of the library by myself but I've noticed there's plenty of reading nooks to get cozy with a book & lots of natural lighting. I'm looking forward to trying out their summer adult workshops! I use their App often to put books on hold for the family. It works smoothly & I can see what I've checked out & what needs to be returned. The staff are not bingo aged (as someone else mentioned), there's a good mix here & they have all been helpful & polite in my experience. I use their App often to put books on hold for the family. It works smoothly & I can see what I've checked out & what needs to be returned. This library serves us well to say the least. I check out roughly 20 books a week to read to my kiddo & not only does she love that time together, but she speaks so well for her age & is complimented on it often. And we have saved so much money in the process by checking out books instead of buying, which is a big deal because I'm ballin on a budget lol. It is truly worth the effort utilizing this library whether it's for yourself, or if you happen to have kids!

I checked out a DVD of a series recommended to me by a Yelp friend. They were only one of four libraries that had it. It was easy to find, and quickly checked out by a very friendly librarian. The library has a craft basket at the checkout desk. So help yourself to a craft while they last! They also have museum passes for Pinellas and Hillsborough counties. Unfortunately, the James Museum is no longer offered. That was one of my favorite museums to visit for free. Now I will pay for the privilege. This library has plenty of parking in their parking lot, on the street, and across the way. It's all for free. It also has accessible bathrooms, a Friends of the Library book area by the front doors, community rooms, and a children's section. Do yourself a favor, and stop by to see all that is offered here.

When I asked the woman behind the counter next thing I know there was three people telling me I had to pay $25 to get a library card. As I was asking the so-called manager lady questions, she was very discriminating towards me because I had a walker and instead answered my friend who she didn't even know I was friends with that was standing next to me as if I was invisible. Way to go for discrimination. Unbelievable. It was already late in the afternoon and they wasted about 20 minutes of my very valuable time. The place needs a revamp inside. The outside is beautiful as usual. The only one that was helpful and very sweet was a young man named Ray. Thank you Ray for being a decent good human. It's a shame that your co-workers and manager are not decent at all. If you have a walker or any type of assistance with a device DON'T GO THERE. The bathroom has the heaviest door and is not accessible. They do have a stall that is larger, but you have to struggle with the door to get in at all. I can't believe this used to be a great Library. Maybe the manager should take out a book herself about discriminating against people fighting for their life

Folks traveling along ALT 19 pay no attention while they're caught up in the hustle and bustle of daily automobile traffic. If people slow down a bit, and hit the Pinellas trail, the old rail line bulges west just north of Curlew and harkens back to a more simple time. The first home built here was in 1875, and as more folks settled in Florida during the golden citrus years, this village saw sleepy prosperity with its orange groves and fishing wharfs buzzing with activity. Tampa Road, which originated here, was the first paved road leading into Tampa, directly connecting the big city with Oldsmar, Dundein, Palm Harbor and Ozona. Things are obviously much different now. The village is quiet, laid back and the vibe is a kin to Cedar Key on a Monday night. They've got their own post office, a BBQ joint, pizzeria, pub and plenty of coastal property to catch a sunset. To me, this place is far removed from traffic, tourism, unexploited, raw and uncut--pure Florida. I absolutely love it. Oh, and all streets are golf cart friendly.

They also have a section for local Floridian authors, along with guides to the state of Florida and different cities, which is super relevant for visitors to the shop. Along with books, they have other knick-knacks, some book-themed and some just for fun. There are socks, shirts, book-themed book bags, puzzles and more. I would say the prices aren't the best but they aren't quite as bad as going to a Barnes & Noble or Books-a-million type book shop. And i'd much rather support a small business paying a price like that than the big chains. They do also have a used book section that has cheaper books so that can be another nice option. And this is definitely lacking in this area. Everything I read about his bookstore as far as inventory , service, and hospitality is above grade. All I said is do not try to sell anything
