We…read morespent $8,000 on 8mm flooring that the Houston manager insured us was high quality, which is why we wanted 8mm. We had it installed by a contractor who has done other floors in our subdivision with no issues. We had them installed the week of 3/16/26 and within a couple of weeks we noticed dents and scratches all over the house. I called the Houston store about our issues. The manager then told me that our flooring was a new line and he had never sold it before! I filed a claim with their HQ and sent many pictures. That is just one attached showing dents and scratches after only 8 days. They sent our flooring for testing and emailed me saying that the flooring did not meet their standards. They gave examples of multiple deficiencies with their product that the Houston store sold us telling us how great it was. They are now telling us we have to take more product from them and they will not pay us back for our $7,000 installation fee. They said we would have to pay that again to have more of their product installed. We consulted an attorney and are now going to take them to court. We want our money back, not more defective product, as well as our installation cost. We would have never had that product installed had we known it was defective and they had never even sold any of it. It is on LL to test their products before they sell them. That was not our job. I will never do business with this company again and would never recommend them.

Exceptional service, always. Thank you! I found Burke Family Plumbing when I first moved to Willis. The inspector missed something with the plumbing when I bought my house. Burke Family Plumbing came out to take care of it. They were friendly, professional and reasonably priced. Several weeks later, the arctic storm hit and every one of my pipes broke. Again they came out and, this time, they re-piped my entire house. Today, was the third time since January that they've came out, this time to fix my new kitchen faucet which had a manufactures defect in it. Buyer Beware. I…read moredon't often take the time to leave negative reviews however my experience with Floors for Living is one worth sharing to caution future customers to take your home project elsewhere. Immediately. I purchased 16 stair treads with install/labor back in May 2026 totalling $3,400. My experience during the purchase was great - or so I thought. The team seemed knowledgeable, patient and thorough. Floors for Living is none of these things and I was completely bamboozled. What I received on that day was a misrepresentation of F4L ability to complete the project I paid for and scope of work. As of today - almost 5 months later, I'm left with an unfinished staircase and material completely mismatched from my homes current floorings. After being passed from an instore team member to the Store Manager Tim where I was assured time after time there would be resolution, all they were able to provide is the run around and solutions that meant cutting corners and a low quality of work when I paid for quality price tag. Separate from F4L misrepresentation of scope of work and transparency is their materials used. I purchased 16 stair treads the same color, material and manufacture (Mohawk Sand Dune RevWood Select) as the rest of my homes flooring. What they installed to date is a stark contrast in color as well as material - mismatched from the rest of my home, unable to provide any proof that this is truly Mohawk Material. After the installer and store manager himself have acknowledged this very clear and very obvious variance in color, assuring me it would be fixed and made right, only to come back 5mos later and say nothing can be done, what F4L is - is a scam. I won't even begin on the lack of professionalism from the installers. An unfinished staircase 5 months later, more calls and re arranging my schedule than I can count and now awaiting a dispute with my bank - potentially having to pursue this legally. Similar to what another reviewer said, save yourself the trouble and take your business elsewhere. This place is shady business.

I began reporting these issues in writing and many of them a month later have not been addressed, and I have not been given a single timeline or understanding as to how it's going to be handled. These problems include fire, safety issues, and mold. I have unanswered emails from them dating all the way back to September 7 (it is now October 5) and even my real estate agent attempted to have them reply to me, with no luck. To top things off, my rent was posted, and they added an additional illegal charge for my service Dog, and after failing to provide cleaners before allowing us to move in and verbally agreeing to give me a credit for that failure, they never ever credited my account. They made my move-in, terrible and way more stressful than necessary. I don't like to leave bad reviews often, but this now has affected my finances and my house still has mold a month later.
