    Coffee is so good!

Loved stopping in at this authentic Mexican food restaurant for brunch. Everything was amazing - coffee, breakfast plates, fajitas, and buttermilk pancakes. All for a very reasonable price. Friends will definitely be back!

I was ready for more after reading fellow members' reviews of this place, and I must note that most are reviewing their breakfast. That said, this place now serves lunch and dinner. Upon arrival the waitress brought chips and salsa; the chips were thin and homemade, and the salsa was that thin red to orange type, the kind made with chile pequin peppers (think choulula hot sauce), and it was very good. Next came our appetizer, homemade nachos with bean and melted cheddar cheese topped with jalapenos. Pretty tasty. The cheese enchiladas suck according to my wife. The cheese inside the enchiladas was that canned nachos cheese. The red enchilada sauce also tasted canned. I got a combo plate with a chicken-stuffed chile relleno and a beef enchilada. The chill relleno was outstanding, which contained a deep fried poblano pepper covered with a white cheese and stuffed with their house shredded chicken. ALL THEIR CHICKEN IS SHREDDED WHITE MEAT. One note about their chicken tonight, it was watery and unseasoned, however, a little salt and a douse of their house salsa will fix it right up. The ground beef in the enchiladas was terrible, bland, unsalted, and not 100% beef (had bread crumb fillers). The service was slow and inattentive, as the young girls at night seem to just want to gossip at the register. Try the soapapilla, but mine was almost burnt tonight, and the honey was preapplied for me. That was fine for me, as I enjoy the honey, but my wife couldn't try one since she likes savory soapapillas dipped in salsa. So ask for your soapapillas without the honey already on it. They bring the honey container to the table anyway. They have lengua, barbacoa, and carne guisada. I will come for breakfast when everything is fresh and those giggling girls aren't there. One more thing: They have a weird payment system. Your server leaves your ticket at the register, then you pay. You don't get a detailed breakdown of your items till your transaction is complete. Weird. They don't let the servers handle the money, haha. Summary: Good chips, salsa, and torts. Excellent appetizer nachos Excellent chile rellenos Terrible ground beef Horrible red sauce on enchiladas and canned cheese stuffed inside Get anything with chicken Slow and inattentive wait staff

Wife and I love Sunday mornings at the Palm Cafe, but get here before 10 to avoid Sunday after church rush. I have never been a pancake fan until I ate them here. The are light fluffy and so damn tasty that I crave them and my Sunday morning staple is the Palm breakfast. It is eggs, pappas, beans and barbacoa. And pancakes. Love the barbacoa and the pancakes. Service is always friendly, prompt and done with a smile. Love and you will too

Slow service. My tamales were ice cold. Waitress never came back after we got our food and the place wasn't busy. Not returning

This is a great inexpensive authentic Tex Mex cafe. Only open 7am- 2pm, but offer a full menu, not just breakfast. I had barbacoa. Yummy!

Why has it taken my husband and I so long to try the grilled oysters divorciados?! Holy moly are…read morethey full of so many mouth bursting flavors! They were absolutely fantastic! I am definitely ordering this as a meal next time! Everything else on their menu is fantastic! I had the quesadilla this time and was surprised it's not your typical flat quesadilla. These are fried tortillas with the fixings of a quesadilla. Mouth watering, crispy and melt in your mouth meat! This place always is a great choice!

After a fun day at Schlitterbahn, we headed to La Cosecha with the family and arrived around 7:30…read morePM. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and has a more polished atmosphere than I expected. We were seated quickly, and our waitress was excellent--friendly, attentive, and especially kind and accommodating with our kids throughout the entire meal. I originally wanted to order the barbacoa, but our plans changed when we tried modifying the kids' meals. We asked about adding picadillo to their bean and cheese tacos and substituting fruit for the rice and beans. We were told adding meat would be $4 per taco and fruit would be another $6, which would have more than doubled the price of the kids' meals. Rather than doing that, I ordered the one-pound fajitas with chicken and Wagyu beef so we'd have plenty of extra protein to share with the kids. The kitchen was pretty slow, but thankfully the chips were excellent and they kept them coming. The salsa was served warm with a nice amount of heat, and my oldest son absolutely loved it. In fact, the chips were apparently too good. Between the long wait and unlimited chips, my 7-year-old managed to eat enough of them that he eventually threw up. That's entirely on him--not the restaurant--but perhaps the strongest endorsement of the chips I can offer. My wife ordered the sangria swirl margarita and enjoyed it, although we were surprised by how few flavored margarita options were available. I went with a mezcal cocktail that was delicious, well balanced, and definitely wasn't shy on the alcohol. Once the fajitas finally arrived, they were excellent. The Wagyu beef came out medium rare exactly as requested, and both the beef and chicken were flavorful and well prepared. Ordering the larger portion also worked out nicely for sharing with the kids. Overall, we'd come back, although probably more readily for an adults-only dinner. The food, cocktails, atmosphere, and especially our waitress were all excellent, and the staff was genuinely kind to our children. The biggest drawback for a family meal was the lack of flexibility with the kids' menu. Some reasonably priced à la carte options or easier substitutions would make this a much better choice for families.
