10/22/22 paid $42 for spray tan at 2068 Eagle Dr #320 Woodstock GA. At the same time I was offered 3 tans for $95. I said no. After I tanned I thought 3 tans at $95 might work. Asked front desk if they could credit my account the $42. And I would but the $95 package. It would reflect I used 1 and had 2 left. I only tan about 4x a year because it is 40 minute drive. No expiration date with package. Ladies had a hard time with computer in making transaction. They got the manager JEN. She came out said she gave me credit and then charged my card the $95. 10 days later I see I have been charged $42 and $95 no credit. Called JEN said she can't give me credit. Her area manager said no. She then said they would spend my money their way. So now I'm dealing with JEN who lied about giving me original credit, now stealing from me by refusing to give me my money back now she is telling me how it will be spent. Not...I was going to call CCCo to credit my account. Then JEN GAVE ME $42 credit 11/11/22. I'm now sitting with 2 paid for spray tans. In April i go to salon for second paid for tan. Young girl tells me my account is frozen get manager. JEN now tells me my account has expired. JEN lies and tries to steal again. Reminded JEN my deal had no expiration. She generously unfroze my account. JEN who isn't a very reputable character found another way to steal and cheat. She gave me the spray but removed the color. She is so smart. I knew before I left the salon what she had done. I didn't file complaint the first time. Didn't want to be involved in the negativity. However the second time has left me no choice except to expose the manager JEN as the thief who is employed at Woodstock Palm Beach Tan. I will post on Neighbor. read more

When I 1st joined, I liked tanning bed salon. It was close to my house, the employees were nice, and beds were good. I cancelled my membership this past August because of negative changes...hard core sales, poor customer service, and mediocre / sub-par beds. Not happy with my experience here at all! I've never done spray tanning, but my friend swears by it... and she looks great! She recommended PBT so I went off of her recommendation. Before going in I looked on their website to find that they were offering a $19.99 MONTHLY spray tanning special! Score!! Well I thought I did anyway! I walked in to be greeted by two women at the front. I believe one was the manager. I explained that I had never done spray tanning, but wanted to check them out after a friend who is their client recommended me. I showed her the coupon that I had and the "manager" said that it was a waste/horrible coupon and that she didn't recommend that I use it. What?? This coupon is put out through PBT corporate - should they be downing this? She also stated that even though the coupon didn't state this, it was only for ONE tanning session, and I would have to pay the $49.00 initial fee as well as the $19.99??!! Then the manager proceeded to walk out and talk on her cell phone. So many things bothered me about this visit. I was a new client that was willing to pay if they would have given me a few options, and yet they let me walk out. I wasn't sure if spray tanning was for me, but was willing to give it a try for 20 bucks... not $70. I really think that they need to retrain their staff to work with new clients. read more

The manager is very pushy, not very pleasant, and talks to you as if it is a speed contest. Not to mention all the HIDDEN costs he did not inform me of. I went to get ONE spray tan and was told "well that is 60 something dollars & if you sign up for the membership it's only $14.95 a month & you can cancel or hold your account whenever you want." I called to cancel and complain about the extra charges I noticed on my account and was told " you can come in by the 25th of this month and cancel your account." Wow really!! I have used a couple of Palm Beach Tan places and this place was the worst. I usually get spray tans and I buy the 3 deal package for $75 which makes each spray tan $25. I arrived tonight at 7:45. I have to drive 30 min to get to this location. The girl working was so rude. When I told her I wanted to go to the versa spa. She said I have to check and see if it's open as she rolled her eyes. I said, I promise I will be quick, and she ignored me. another girl came from the back and said you can do the verse a spa but we're gonna have to open it because it's closed and it's gonna take a second and I was like OK thank you I drove 30 minutes so I would really appreciate it. I will be fast. She didn't say it's fine or we're not close or anything. She was very very rude. I said to the original girl seems like you guys are usually busy at this time maybe because it's dark outside it's no longer busy and she said, thank God we're not busy I felt very unwelcome at a place I've been a member for over 10 years now. The salon closed at eight and I was out by 758. I sat in my car and watched all the girls leave at 8 o'clock on the dot that's when they close. I guess that was their goal and they reached it, but they were very rude and I would not recommend this location, I was very polite and out before 8 o'clock and they made me seem like I was the biggest inconvenience. They also had a visiting friend that said, I think they're closed and I said do you work here and she said, no. I said OK thank you I feel like management would want to know. read more

Marc Anthony the manager told me I was stupid for wasting my money and not buying a membership package. This guy harasses me EVERY TIME I come in and I politely decline, he then becomes very rude and makes snide remarks. I can appreciate a good sales pitch but being pushy, rude, and degrading drives customers away. I love the review that said she drives by and sees this guy working and just keeps on driving. Cheers to the young ladies that work at this location. They offer up a package and if you decline they don't waste 10 minutes of your time sucking the life out you. Bless their hearts for having to work alongside Marc Anthony. I won't be returning so I'm glad that Marc won't have to be butt hurt anymore about me wasting my $11. Read the other google reviews! This is my first tanning membership and the ladies at Palm Beach Tan made the process super easy! The staff is very knowledgeable about tanning and didn't try to oversell the products. They took the time to understand my skin type and tanning goals and recommended products accordingly across all price ranges. And when I wanted to try spray tanning for the first time they made me feel comfortable, which I'm sure is not an easy feat. Some places try to sell across the board instead of understanding that each client is an individual and not everyone needs the same things. Kudos to these guys for being great at what they do. The facilities are clean and well-maintained in my opinion. The beds always work great and staff is more than happy to help me learn all the features of each bed. They will even let you know which bulbs are new so that you can maximize your time. I love this location and look forward to each visit! read more

I have been a member for years. Last year I had my wedding bands stolen from the place. Yes it was my fault for leaving them but no one would help Me try to find them. The worst service ever. When I first got to Palm Beach Tan I was asked to sign in. I talked to Brittany and said I'd never been there. She rudely told me that I was going to have to come with my mom because I was too young (Which was alright because I realize it is a law). Because I really wanted my tan for the next day, I turned around drove to pick up my mom. While on the way back, I asked my mom to call up again and make sure they would wait for us because we didn't live that close (20 minutes away). My mom was told if we were there at 8:01 the doors would be locked and I couldn't tan. As I sped down the highway, we finally got there with 10 minutes to spare. I walked in happy because I was finally going to be able to tan. We talked to Brittany again and my mom saw a special promotion online about getting unlimited tanning for a month. However, she told us that we would only be able to get two weeks worth because it was in the middle of the month. Because a spray tan lasts 2 weeks we decided not get it and just go for the one time only deal and the "Dark with Bronze". We sat down and started to wait for the tanning machine to be ready and while we waited, the woman who came in right behind us went to check in. Brittany told her it was 8:01 so she wouldn't be able to do a full 20 minutes. While we waited we also were hearing Brittany complain to us about her being late in the salon. She also told us that she had 26 more things to do before she could leave (and yes, she read every one of them to us). I offered to sweep for her because she was making me feel bad for coming in so late. She declined the offer and continued to tell us how she's gotten in trouble for letting a customer do her work before. So finally I get into the tanning room, and she briefly told me the positions, and left. In my other experiences with tanning salons they would have paper to put of the bottom of my feet, which I was unpleasantly surprised that there weren't any. I put the hair net on and the lotion on and got in. The machine went alright however, it sprayed my back 1 time and my front 3 times, but that was the least of my worries at that point. I got out and I wasn't darker at all, I believe, Brittany gave me the clear tan instead of the one with bronzer. In the end, I will never be going back to Palm Beach Tan, I don't think the customer service is worth a dime of my hard earned money. read more

I have not had pleasant experiences with this location. Most of the times I have gone the girls are taking a smoke break outside and I am just sitting inside waiting on them to finish. I have used palm beach tan for almost 5 years now and I called in to cancel my membership after my dermatologist told me I needed to stop tanning and I was told on the phone I had to be present to cancel. I came in on the 31st to cancel (after being out of town) and actually put my membership on freeze. $125.00 was taken out of my account on the 4th. I went in spoke to the Manager, (Mark Anthony) and told me that I had to cancel by the 25th to not be charged. I told him I was NEVER informed that information. I was specifically told to come in and cancel by the end of the month. I told him I was out of town and tried calling to cancel but was not allowed. He told me there was nothing he could do. I asked for corporate number and did not give it to me. He told me he could send in a form to get a refund request but then DID NOT because he realized he was the one who sold me my membership and his name would be on the form, knowing he did not inform me on the specific date to cancel by. I checked my bank statements and Money has never been taken out on the 25th but from the 2nd-4th, for the last 2 years. Also, I was never told I would be paying $125 for diamond membership when the last month I only paid $40.00 for it. But the one thing he will do is try to sell you $200 bottles of lotion lol. Also- tried to bribe me saying he'll give me free tans for the next month. No I don't want free tans, I want my money back. read more

Palm Beach Tan is just a great place to tan. It is good during the summer and winter. It helps deepen my color and it saves time. I have been to the Sandy Springs location and the Woodstock location. Very clean and organized. The specials for members are good. The upgrade during the summer really is great. The staff at Sandy Springs is wonderful and got me started. Now the great folks in Woodstock keep me going. The staff at SS should get a big recognition. read more

when me & my mom walked in to the salon we both just wanted a walk in tan, so we both said the $25 walk in. the boy at the counter told us "it would be dumb to do a walk in & not open a membership, it just wouldn't make sense". we still decided to just do a walk in tan. then he moved on to the lotions, which we didn't want to spend $11 on a small package of lotion that could be used once. then the boy proceeded to say "take care of your skin you only have one layer", very rude. he then took me to my tanning bed & brought up the membership again. i get it's a part of your job to promote the memberships & lotions, etc. but don't continue to ask me when you've asked me 15 times. read more

Worse month of tanning. I bought a package before my wedding and I can't count how many times they weren't open on time. Not just a few mins either.. 30mins at least.. And I would leave. I even called the district number and left a voicemail & didn't received a call back. Another complaint of mine, I was tan and they wouldn't let me tan longer than "their" recommendation..so like 8 mins when the bed was a 15 min bed. Don't tan here.. I canceled my membership. Without a doubt this is the most expensive tanning salon. I dont mind paying more for nicer things, however when the tanning itself costs more than many places and I've bought a lotion for $150 after saying no 3x, the add ons seem a bit overpriced. My spray tans expired-- even when I paid for a pack of 3 of them...was never told this. I had to pay extra to get a darker color, which made no sense considering I wanted to be darker than I normally am. No one noticed I even got a spray tan for a wedding. So after I went back I was told my last one expired, the deal i paid for also was over and it was $12+to add a bronzer to the spray tan I was paying full. Price on, I was completely dissatisfied. There was a select few of Staff members that were very sweet and very informative, and then there was the very over pushy sales pitches from ones that made it uncomfortable to go in and tan. read more

Looks very nice upon entering other than the girls (including the manager) were orange yikes! However, the top of the bed was disgusting it had handprints a lotion smears all over!! The aromatherapy didn't work and the staff wasn't exactly knowledgeable about the lotion. The management is awful. Anytime I've been in the manager Lauren was never friendly. When I first started tanning here I was 17, they did not make my mom come sign a paper which is very illegal. When I froze my account I was not told id be charged every month over 8 dollars. It took my calling them after the money was already taken out of my account, or I would have completely closed my account. I went to go cancel my account yesterday after being told I would be able to do that anytime before the first and was told I couldn't cancel it. When I unfroze my account in February I was told I had a free upgrade and would only be charged for the $69 for my upgrade every month. I just had $104 taken out of my account today. I called and spoke to the manager Lauren, and she was very rude and told me there was nothing she could do than proceeded to be rude and told me that i needed to call corporate and than hung up on me. I will not be back and I hope y'all have a better experience than I did. read more

It's a modern, clean facility. Most of the employees are friendly. I've been a member there for more than a year because there are no other choices near by. My complaint is ALWAYS the same...they don't maintenance the bulbs. Bulbs were burned out in 17 of 20 visits. I wrote the company, called the franchise owner, -nothing!! 9 out of 10 times I'm in a bed with at least 2 bulbs burned out, usually more. I report the bed before I leave and there's always some excuse. ...We're out of bulbs. ...The starters bad. ...I'll tell someone. The person who changes them has been off for a couple of days. ...it's difficult to get someone to show up to repair that bed. One girl even said "oh really, prove it to me"! Seriously???? I'm sick and tired of complaining. I pay full price but get less than full service. If you're going to offer 75% tanning - then discount accordingly or replace the bulbs! I am waiting anxiously for a new tanning salon to come to the Towne Lake area. read more
