I used to go to the 66th street location habitually but switched to the uptown location because the level 1 beds are wayyyy better for the money spent on the membership. I barely get color from level 1 beds at the 66th street location but my tan from the uptown location looks like I have a platinum membership. The stand up bed (room 13 ) is my ish. I always arrive about 20-30 minutes before close and the front desk clerks never change their friendly attitudes even though they probably would like to deny my session and close up the store. Front desk clerk Amber is the tits, I always leave there happier then I was arriving because of her, she has a lovely personality and exemplifies outstanding customer service. She always is hooking me up with samplers of lotions and doesn't push me to buy it after the fact. Definitely love this location and it's convenient adjacent parking lot as well, which makes parking a breeze even though it's in busy uptown. Also in regards to covid19 precaution methods; the employees all wear masks at all times, they have a nice sealed plastic barrier in between customers and the front desk person. So so so rude and condescending on the phone. Because of the woman I talked to, I will never be a patron of this chain. I was simply trying to gather basic information before coming into the business because I am disabled. She continued to not answer questions with anything other than, "I cannot predict the future," as if that is what I was asking her to do. Unreal. read more

I like this location. It is well located right in Uptown and it is convenient with the parking location (a large parking lot right next to the tanning salon). The staff is always nice, helpful and extremely accommodating. Additionally, it is always clean (tanning beds, rooms, and bathrooms to be included in that). No issues to report! This is BY FAR the best Palm Beach location in the Twin Cities area. The staff is literally so incredibl, I look forward to seeing everyone who works there. They make you feel so comfortable and they have the perfect balance of being interpersonal and professional at the same time. if I didn't live so close, I would literally drive to this location for the customer experience alone! Your copy and pasted response to each of our yelp reviews, requesting we reach out to PBT customer service personally via email, then reminding them our name, including a link to our review, so that we can further bitch(?), is impersonal, unprofessional, and unreasonable. I see you have the same response for PBT yelp users' feedback at all the PBT locations across the friggen country! If taking an hour or two a week to 'acknowledge' us customers and feedback by copy and pasting what you wrote on our comments to literally all incoming yelp review comments at all your location across the country (I checked), and this is good enough for ur VP Marketing, then clearly the lack of respect, accountability, and humanism from the sales staff on your front lines... is a result of this amateur type approach you're taking to respond to your angry customers here. to. Customer service should not be a department, an outsourced "Penelope", or some generic email address where all customer complaints come through to...no. I went into Palm Beach Tan at the beginning of March because I was going to be going to Cancun for a week to teach yoga at a resort and didn't want to burn while I was there. Maren helped get me signed up and worked with me throughout the month to make sure that I was able to slowly build up a base and be ready for my trip. I can now say that we were very successful at not having me burn and I have had numerous compliments on the color that I have achieved. I tried to call and cancel my account on July 25th in order to ensure that I would not be charged for the next month. After being told it was taken care of, I was surprised to see a charge for August on my account. I called back and was told that customer service did not actually cancel my account until the 26th, so I had to pay for a month that I'll never use as I have since moved away. As a response, palm beach offered me another free month...Which I cannot use. I asked for a refund for the month of August but was denied. read more

So overpriced and I feel like they don't change out their bulbs regularly. Every time I come in, it's a different price on things which is really irritating considering I was told if I did the full package, the spray tans were only $7 more for the cartridge and always end up being $19. I contacted the store and was told I would have to pay $367.00 for the previous three months that I did not go there, because I didn't call. And requested to put on hold. The person that answered the phone was extremely rude. And said that she would rather. Lose me as a customer. Then two, go back and put the account on hold. the last thing on my mind, after all. After almost dying, was to contact Palm Beach Tan. To place my membership on hold. The representative would not allow me to finish a sentence. And kept repeating over and over that I signed of waiver, and that. I would have to pay the $367.00 in order to come back and tan there. I never had a problem with payment in two years.
