Listen up ladies. I've been paying $104 per month for 4 years. I was told I was experiencing the best beds they have. Well heres the shit dump, the owners pick and choose what location they decide to put the best beds, so if you go to veterans location, you may have a great experience. However I live near downtown. So the smart option would be less than a mile from my home, NOPE. The beds are fucking shit, they get the used bulbs from the other palm beach stores. They do not even have the highest level bed that I pay for at this location on campus. They fail to mention this, and continue to watch u pay and for nothing, u won't even get burned let alone tan. Yet, I'm still forced to pay the high price or drive all the way across town as a busy working mom of 5, who TF has time for that? Let's be real if you have experienced the snubbed nosed b!+5#€2 at the 350 location you wouldn't dare wanna go back anyway. TAKE IT FROM ME, $10 at the planet fitness a month IS NOT ONLY A HELL OF A BETTER MONEY SAVING DEAL, but u actually get a tan!!!! Since I mean that's the reason we visit the salon isn't it? Rudest girls I've ever met in my life work here. It doesn't matter the location you go to in Lafayette, they're all rude as hell! The only time they weren't rude was when I was signing a membership. The second time they were rude was when I wanted to downgrade my membership because....well that's my choice right! So they tried to talk me out of that by saying those beds didn't do a very good job. So why even have them? I still ended up downgrading but never even tanned after that because of the way they treated me. I finally cancelled my membership and what do you know dirty looks and snobby like usual. This is the old Levee Tan location that changed company to Palm Beach Tan. The staff is super nice and helpful as always. I was able to carry over my minutes from my levee tan account which was nice. I'm not sure what there new prices will be but staff said the prices will go up. She said it's a contract driven pricing so you save money by signing up for a year in a bed category. The biggest benefit is that you will be able to tan at their other locations, like when you're traveling. The beds are always very clean and well kept as far as maintenance. It's not really super busy but I wouldn't go around spring break time as there is usually more of a wait. They give you tanning goggles which is nice if you're like me and always forget yours. The tanning booths have a deodorant spray too Incase you're sweaty afterwards and need to go out in public. read more

Do not let them talk you into their "monthly tanning". They will continue to charge your credit card even though they were closed during Covid and you requested the membership to be cancelled. They will claim they never received your request and then NOT return calls and even if you go in and ask to speak to a manager there is no manager to speak to. I also emailed the "Corporate" office & requested a call to discuss and still no return call just another email that doesn't even address my point. One would think that business of loyal customers mattered enough that someone could make a phone to resolve or offer a mutually acceptable remedy but not at PBT! They obviously don't trust or care about you only about your money! read more

If you want to look like a zebra, this is the place for you! There are bulbs out in every silver bed and it doesn't look like they are replacing them soon. The beds may look clean but the floors are disgusting. The employees don't care about the customer and will barely speak. There's one person working (cleaning beds and front desk) during the busiest tanning time of the year. The towels are dingy and falling apart. If you have never done indoor tanning before, do not start -- you will end up looking like a leather bag by the time you are forty. But if you feel you must or want to for some reason, do not start at this location. I was a complete indoor tanning newbie, and I only wanted to try it based on Lafayette being cold as the inner circle of Dante's hell in winter, making it unpleasant to be outside. Between that, having dark skin that needs more sun exposure to make Vitamin D, and having a condition that makes me prone to Vitamin D deficiency anyway, I thought indoor tanning might be good for tiding me over healthwise during the winter, so I went here to get started, what with assurances over the phone that their "technicians" would be able to tell you everything there was to know about it and help you get started. For all the perils that come with blasting yourself with UV radiation, though, and in spite of the claims on the phone, the staff was markedly unhelpful, even with my declaring I have never done indoor tanning and I need to know what all is involved. There was no mention at all of some of the things I had read online ahead of time, for instance, be it the risk of worsening wrinkles, the importance of using tan bed appropriate moisturizer or bronzers to protect your skin or deepen the tan, any warnings about increasing the risk of skin cancer, the possibility that certain sunscreen lotions could damage their acrylic beds -- zippo, zilch. If I had not mentioned I had a large surgical scar (based again on what I read online of indoor tanning affecting scar tissue badly), they would not have advised and sold me an SPF50 balm to apply on it ahead of time. It was all rather bizarre, from that respect, because you would think, with an admission that someone knows nothing about indoor tanning, they would enthusiastically jump on the opportunity to sell you a bunch of their products ahead of time; and in this case, it would not have been so much obnoxious as helpful. I can only think that they either do not give two hoots about their business and the experience of their customers, and/or they cater only to long-time indoor tanners, such that they do not make any secret of being put upon by newcomers. At any rate, going into it with next to no expert advice about their own equipment, facilities, and what sort of lotions I should apply, I tried two sessions, and I ended up aging by 10 years for it, what with markedly worse forehead lines. It very likely had to do with the "face light" being on both times (which of course the dopes at this location didn't point out when showing off the bed, I had to notice it on my own and look it up after the fact), with which I essentially cooked my face. It's been a month after the fact, and said wrinkles do not seem to be going away, so I am either stuck with them from now on or it's evidently going to take them a long while to turnover and disappear. It is possible that could have been avoided with appropriate instruction (in regards to the face light, for instance), but that being as it was, it has permanently put me off indoor tanning. So stick with outdoor tanning -- but, again, if you really want to do indoor tanning and ruin your skin, you are better off going anywhere but here, where you might find attentive staff, because then at least the ruination would probably be slower/less-immediate. read more

I got a decent tan but it would've been better if my bed was fully functioning. The lady who helped me was nice, and this was my first time at this location. At first I didn't know where the timer was at but after returning to the desk she showed me. Once I was in the bed I realized 6 of the top bulbs were unlit and some on the bottom. I didn't want to bother again so I waited till after the bed turned off. I let her know on my way out that some bulbs didn't work and she proceeded to brush off my comment and stated she would go check but I don't think she ever did. As my comment was just brushed off I can say I will not be returning to this location. read more
