I'm writing about Palmbeach town store manager. What a wonderful customer service I received from her very knowledgeable very friendly and very accommodating. I highly recommend this place after one bad experience I had she made it 1000% better thank you so much Amy for your customer service. Thank you for making me feel special. I've had a membership for almost 10 years. It's been a while since my last visit. I walked in today and gave the sales associate my phone number. My account details were in the system. She told me I needed to pay $5 for eye covers so I ran my credit card. When I got my receipt, I was charged $70!!! I asked what the charge was for and she said the walk in fee and the eye covers. I told her that I've had a membership for a long time and even showed my bank statements with the reoccurring monthly charges. She was adamant that I didn't have a membership. I asked for her to refund me the $70, and she couldn't because her manager wasn't available. Had she told me the price before charging my credit card, I wouldn't have swiped my card. I was angry and frustrated so I called the original store where I opened my membership. They said it was still active so I went back in and had her look it up by my name and sure enough the membership was still active. Unfortunately, she ran the time on my bed while I having this debate so I couldn't even tan today and have to wait another 24 hours to come back. Meanwhile, I was still charged $70 and still couldn't tan. I don't know who hires people here but I think they need a little more training before they allow them to run the store by themselves. This was the worst customer experience I've ever had. Very displeased and still haven't resolved getting my money back. Not sure if I ever want to return to this location. read more

i came in on a really busy evening, and brandy was running things by herself. despite a pair of impatient middle aged karens (who came together) becoming irritated about the wait, she calmly and kindly assisted everyone as quickly as she could. i noticed one lady who was being really rude ask for her name, so i'm hoping she doesn't leave a bad review for brandy or the store... brandy is always very nice, professional, and knowledgeable. 5 stars because this salon has both sunscape and versa, and because the staff has been great the 2 times i've been in. read more

This is the story of how Robert discovered Palm Beach Tan. When I was a boy, I had lost my way. I was dealing in nefarious deeds and running amuck in the Kingdom of Orange. One day, I stumbled into a tall wizard with a long beard and wizard hat at the local grocery. He glanced over me with kind yet critical eyes and said in a booming voice, "You have lost your way, my boy. I shall show you how to redeem yourself." "How, sir? I'll do anything." I said. "My boy, you must tan." "Tan, sir?" "Yes. But it will be no easy feat. You must venture beyond where you have gone before, beyond the cobblestone streets of Bristol & MacArthur and past the flying dragons of John Wayne. There, you will find a humble village called the Jamboree Promenade, and in it will be a small business called Palm Beach Tan." I wasted no time. I strapped my wood and sheepskin sandals and threw a pack over my shoulder. I didn't know what the journey would offer, but I knew I must be prepared for anything. I traveled beyond the busy streets of Bristol and made my way past John Wayne's treacherous flying dragons. When I arrived at the Jamboree Promenade, I found many vehicles parked to patronize the local establishments. That's when I realized something. Driving probably would have been a lot faster. I didn't dwell on my mistake. Instead, I entered the establishment called Palm Beach Tan. Inside, I was pleased to find a clean and welcoming environment. I could see doorways down the hall, each leading to my salvation as a tan man. As I ventured further into the establishment, I was greeted by four sorceresses. They called themselves Zoe, Joey, Chloe, and Leah. I assumed Leah missed the memo that her name should rhyme with the others, but I didn't think much of it. I approached the counter slowly, weary from my journey and admittedly afraid of the great power these sorceresses must possess. That was when one of them spoke. It was Zoe. "YOU NEED TO BASE BUILD. I RECOMMEND THE STANDUP FOR 6-7 MINUTES." I was shocked at the power of her voice. Before I knew it... Before I even had time to respond... I was transported into an enclosure with bright, blue-hot lights. Then, darkness. My time was up. As I left, I was again greeted by the kind sorceresses, who bid me farewell and welcomed me back anytime. As I entered the parking lot, I was once again reminded that driving would have been a much better idea than walking three miles in wooden sandals--a lesson learned. Today, I have befriended these sorceresses. I return frequently, and my skin is beginning to take on a beautiful olive color. I am also pleased to say I am no longer involved in nefarious deeds nor running amuck in the Kingdom of Orange. Instead, I am married, attend university, and do my best daily to be a productive member of society. For that, I have Palm Beach Tan to thank. I came across the wizard many years later. Yesterday at around 2:15p was my first time at Palm Beach. I've been spray tanning for years so I'm not new at it. I spoke to someone on the phone on Monday and was explained some pricing info. She proceeded to tell me about a free tan they have for first time customers, which I was. So she warned me to not use lotion, shave and exfoliate prior and I did the night before tanning. I did not use and lotion etc the morning of. When I arrived she was helping someone and then I went up. She rushed thru her script. She asked me if I wanted a clear spray or did I want color and bronzer. I have never in all my years of tanning been asked that. I'm like what is a clear spray? She said it's a spray and some tan a little with it and some may not. I'm thinking that doesn't make sense. So she explained it's better to purchase the bronzer and color. I was not told about any of this on the phone. Turned out my free tan was $17. I had to wait bc a guy came in after I paid and seemed to be a normal customer there. Maybe he's relatively a new customer. Idk. However he was upset, explaining that he was there the day prior and he spray tanned and that next day he had what looked like no color. Anyway he bed tanned and then went into a spray tan so she told me I had to wait for him to bed tan and spray. I was confused bc I was there first and no one else was there and it's obv they have multiple rooms open so why not place one of us in another room. I waited 25 min. Another employee took me back. I asked a couple questions and she wasn't sure so she had to go ask and came back. In my spray tan session I noticed that from my knees down were not being sprayed at all. I thought maybe they would get color from the fall out of spray. Idk. So I sprayed and left. I followed her directions by lightly rinsing before bed which was a good 10 hrs later. Woke up this morning and showered as usual. I did not notice a difference in my color, accept from my elbows down to my hands and they were an orange color bronze color. You'll notice the picture. It was taken after my shower this morning. My hands are clearly not the same color as my chest. My hands and arms are not the same as any part of my body bc they are the only parts of me that were tan. As I said I've done this for years and I always tan perfectly. This place is completely untrustworthy. I canceled my membership in March and I have proof, but they kept charging me for months after. All of the beds here are great and clean and the hours work well for my schedule. Bonus: the staff here is beyond amazing! They give great recommendations to help me maximize my color. Ridiculous billing practice. ! Been a monthly member for years at $73 per month. Knowing I would be out of town and unable to tan, I used the option of freezing my membership for $7 per month. In the middle of August I called and asked how to make my unfreezing seamless to start back on Sep. 1 because I know they bill on a certain date and if you make any changes outside of that it can be complicated billing. I very persistently stated the point of my call and was told, it is no problem, come in at a time and the billing is seamless and amortized....great! I thought. I went in on Sep. 1, was told it was no problem and my monthly membership fee would be reinstated! On Sep. 1 I was indeed charged my $73 monthly fee and on Sep. 2 I was charged the $7 fee for a monthly freeze. My chosen salon told me to just call corporate for this (they could not issue a refund). I spoke with Ashley in corporate customer service and she repeatedly told me that according to what I asked it was indeed "seamless" that I should have asked, "what do I need to do to prevent being double billed?" She dug her heels in and said they would not refund the $7 but would give me a store credit to use in the store. I told her I would be cancelling my membership and she said she understood! The new staff ... Kayla... is terrible. Kayla who is not technically new bc she was a "Rover" has horrible customer service. Today was not my first experience with her. The ladies I normally see (I've been a client since 2014) are lovely at DuPont, MacArthur, and Jamboree especially love long timer Ally! So don't take my review against the rest of the staff. Kayla needs training in her customer service and problem solving skills. I've tried to reach customer service but without any luck of a response. Unfortunately that leaves me to YELP. My hope is that someone contacts me. I can not believe Kayla is a store manager... yep a store manager... she needs to be demoted until she learns how to treat customers better. I love this place!!! Berenice and Yoarely helped me set up my membership and explained to me the whole tanning process!! The few times I've gone and they're there the vibes feel homey and welcoming! It feels like I'm visiting friends! HOWEVER, I went once while Chasity was there and she made me uncomfortable. She's too quick and comes off as rude and pushy when in trying to speak. You can sense and hear the attitude in her voice and was treating one of the employees very rude and horrible in front of me and a few other customers that were waiting with me. Her vibes are very off and mean! To be honest I don't even feel comfortable tanning when she's there I feel like I'm bothering or something. Other than that, the other ladies are very sweet and friendly! Berenice directed me to my room and told me the steps on what to do in a patient and kind manner! 10/10 customer service and person!
