I was informed on what to expect and Amber exercised a lot of patience and tried to distract me from the pain. I liked that I could select which type of music I wanted to listen to during the process. So was it painful you ask? For someone that usually just shaves, yes it was uncomfortable for me. Thankfully it doesn't take long and was done in about 15 mins or so. The second time was MUCH less painful and more tolerable. I would recommend to not shave in-between. The location is easy to get to and there's plenty of parking. The room is clean and sanitary. I like that sugaring is natural and sustainable with no waste. That's a huge plus for me! I've been coming to BeeSugared since June 2021 religiously every 4-6 weeks and I have noticed a HUGE difference in my hair growth over the last several months. I get my pits sugared as well as the Deluxe Brazilian every time I go and I have to say, all the ladies who've attended me are so sweet and professional and quick! They conveniently confirm appointments via text, which I love, do their best to accommodate changes, and keep a spotless shop right off PCH in Newport Beach (awesome views and vibes!). My regular aesthetician is Ciara--by the way, if you can book her, please do! She's such a calming presence, is honest about pain and tolerance levels, and is very knowledgeable about the whole process. Personally, I find the pricing reasonable and since the hair grows back less and less, pretty soon I'll only have to go a few times per year for maintenance. But let's talk hair growth (or lack thereof!). As a woman with naturally curly hair, my hair initially was unruly and dry. After 6 months of consistent attendance, I barely have any hair by the time my Brazilian rolls around, and my armpit hair is straighter and much softer. I had my sugaring session with Ciara and I have to say no one sugars faster than her LOL. I think I was in and out in about 10 minutes. Sugaring/waxing is never pain-free but some people are better than others at minimizing the pain, and Ciara is definitely one of those people. She was also very thorough. The studio is very clean and I didn't encounter any staff other than Ciara, but she was super friendly. While it's too far for it to be a regular place, I'll keep it in mind for when I'm in the area or if I ever move back to Orange County. read more

Came here on a groupon for Manzillians. The staff are friendly and the appointment reminders are nice. Not so good: Getting a hold of a live person can be challenging. The technician who helped me was really friendly. But she made the process more painful than it needed to be. She would stretch the sugar to the point of pain, then tear them out. This meant my pain lasted 5-10x longer than necessary. Note: To make sure I wasn't imagining things, I made a batch of sugar and did this on my own. Significantly less pain. The actual ends results were good. She did leave stray hairs which were annoying. read more

This place started off great, the salon is impeccably decorated, has a great ambiance with comfortable waxing tables and a friendly staff. I originally found BeeSugared on Groupon but signed up for their monthly membership after my first visit. I went in for regular monthly Brazilian sugaring. They always did a great job and I was very happy with the service. One day I was sitting in the lobby waiting for my appointment and I noticed they did eyelash extensions. I had been dying to try them so I figured, I would make an appointment. As a first timer in the eyelash extension world, I didn't realize just how bad of a job they did until I went to a good place. It took 2+ hours for a HALF set (the girl I go to now takes about 1 hour for a FULL set and 30-45 minutes for fills) and they were horrible. Synthetic, heavy lashes that damaged my own lashes. After just one week, most of the eyelashes were gone. She assured me that this was normal and most of her clients came in once per week to get fills. That was a lie. I can last up to three weeks now with much fuller, real mink, lashes for the same price. Even after the horrible lash experience, I still went back for sugaring. Unfortunately, about a month later I had to move for work which would have made it a, hour + drive to the salon. So on my last appointment, I notified the girl at the front desk that I would need to cancel my membership. She fiddled around on the computer and then told me that since a 30-day notice was required, I would see one more charge from them and then my membership would be cancelled. Fast forward 12 months. I get a text that says my payment to BeeSugared salon was declined and to call the salon immediately to make my payment. Confused, I called the salon. They assured me it was just a glitch in the system and that no payments were being taken out. I wanted to double check my own records to be sure. And sure enough, they had never stopped taking money from my account. 12 months times $40 a month. So I call back and let her know that they had in fact been accidentally charging me for the last year. She told me that she would have to do some research to make sure on their end so I awaited her response. She then texted me and said that they never received a cancellation email from me and that and email is required to cancel a membership and that's why I was being charged. WHAT? I was never told this. Whomever was at the desk when I cancelled my membership surely didn't mention this. Pretty much just seems like a scam to get you to keep paying even when no services are being provided. I filed a fraud complaint with my credit card company and they assured me that the money would be returned to me but they can only dispute charges up to 120 days back. Also, they let me know that BeeSugared had charged me THREE TIMES in the month of April alone. After they assured me I wasn't getting charged at all. So BeeSugared will still get to keep 9 months of money they stole from me. BOTTOM LINE. Sugaring, good. Eyelashes, bad. Customer Service, horrendous. read more

Looking at all the great reviews makes me feel like I must have missed what is normally a good experience. I arrived to my 11:30 appointment it appears half the suite of BeeSugared is undergoing renovation. It said to text a number before entering at another door; which i did. No reply. The door is hard to open like you feel like you might break it. But i didnt break it, phew! I've only done sugaring once before. It was uncomfortable/hurts but i felt I was in good hands. I cant really say the same about this experience. I have a lot more irritation and not as much hair removal. I was also told I have some bruising and will still see hair that didn't get picked up by the sugaring. Hmm...I suggest trying somewhere else. read more
