Today I came in for my usual spray tan before a wedding, and Megan was working. She is absolutely the best! So friendly, accommodating, helpful, and knowledgeable. I actually thought she was the manager because of how professional and attentive she is, but it turns out she's just an employee. What a fantastic job she does. Honestly, I usually don't pay much attention to staff at tanning or nail salons, but Megan really stands out. She's honestly too good to go unnoticed. Whoever runs this business should know what a gem they have ..she's a true asset to the team and I hope she's appreciated as much as she deserves. My tan is perfect!!

She made me feel comfortable, explained what she was doing, and was really gentle throughout the service. The pain was honestly not too bad, which I always appreciate when it comes to waxing! I booked a facial and was looking forward to the Glo2Facial service, but was informed during the…read moreappointment that the Glo machine was broken. Because of that, I had to change my service last minute to a European facial. While I understand that equipment issues happen, I would've appreciated being told beforehand or at least offered a partial discount or upgrade option since the original service couldn't be performed. The spa is clean and the front desk staff was friendly. The esthetician was okay, and my skin did feel soft afterward, but overall I left feeling a little underwhelmed. It would help if guests were informed ahead of time when machines are down, especially for services that depend on them. This place has potential, but clearer communication and more thoughtful customer care would go a long way.

I'm really disappointed by how this Groupon promotion was handled…read more I had previously visited Speakeasy Sugar Parlor several months ago and paid directly for my service, but I had never purchased a Groupon from the business before. When I saw this Groupon, I read through the terms and conditions carefully and there was nothing stating that it was limited to first-time clients. I purchased it well in advance because I was planning a trip and wanted to make sure I could schedule my appointment ahead of time. I had my appointment planned, and then just a couple of days beforehand, I received a text from the owner, Sabrina, informing me that the Groupon was only for first-time clients and therefore could not be used. I was told that the first-time-client restriction could not be included on the Groupon because of Groupon's terms. Regardless of the reason, I feel that is important information for a customer to know before purchasing, not after the purchase has already been made and an appointment has been scheduled. Unfortunately, Groupon would not refund my original payment because more than 30 days had passed. The alternative was Groupon Bucks, which isn't useful to me because I don't plan to use Groupon again. I'm not upset that a business chooses to offer a first-time-client promotion. That's completely reasonable. What I find problematic is purchasing a promotion without seeing that restriction disclosed, only to have the restriction communicated to me days before my appointment. I had been a customer here before and would have appreciated much clearer communication about who was actually eligible for the promotion. I ultimately walked away feeling like I had paid for something that I wasn't allowed to use, despite having carefully reviewed the advertised terms before purchasing. As a Yelp Elite, I always try to give businesses credit where it's due, but I also think it's important to share experiences when a promotion or customer-service situation doesn't go as expected. I hope the business considers making these restrictions much clearer for future customers.

I originally found Sabrina, the…read moreowner, through Groupon and booked my first appointment with her, and I've continued coming back ever since because I was so happy with my experience. Sabrina is incredibly kind, professional, and personable. She always makes you feel comfortable, and I genuinely look forward to our conversations during my appointments! Even though I'm not always the most consistent with keeping up with my sugaring, I would never consider going anywhere else. She also always has great specials and deals going on, including her "Fancy Friday" deal, and she offers a military discount, which I think is amazing and so appreciated! On top of the service, the Parlour itself is such a vibe. It's stylish, unique, welcoming, and ALWAYS incredibly clean. You can tell Sabrina puts so much care into both her clients and her space. I truly can't say enough good things about Sabrina and Speakeasy Sugar Parlour. If you're looking for someone who is professional, makes you feel comfortable, and provides an amazing experience every time, this is the place to go!
