I fought sleep for as long as I could Saturday night just to avoid having to wash it all off! Stephanie is so easy and fun to work with. Our photos had to be rescheduled due to the fires, and she willingly arranged her already busy schedule to fit me in on a Saturday with short notice. She arrived right on time, bubbly and excited to do my hair and make up! I instantly felt at ease with her. I showed her several pictures of what I wanted and she NAILED it! I asked for natural glam and a braid with curls (my hair is thin so I was worried about the braid but oh man- she is so good with hair!). The conversation was natural and fun- she kept me relaxed and laughing the whole time! I had a few girlfriends over, and they all loved her as well! I cannot recommend Stephanie enough. She will be my go to for hair and make up moving forward. She takes the time to listen to what your vision is, she is a master in her craft, and most importantly- she has a heart of gold and just wants you to feel your best! One of the best to work with!

I contacted them today to say I had to cancel my appointment 2 days from now and the next thing I know I got a bill with a cancellation fee for $35.00. I was never asked why I was cancelling, but I did ask if the product ever came in. Shana said she was going to give it to me when I arrvied for my appointment. WHAT?! This was somenthing I paid for and could have been using. Each visit my bill was well over $240.00. Shana is unprofessional. The place is dirty and she can't keep help. I gave them a chance. They under-performed on all counts.

At the start of the appointment my stylist repeatedly made faces at my requests, which made me un-easy, though I tried to stay open minded throughout the appointment. Unfortunately, the appointment started 15 minutes late and ran over by more than two hours. During that time, the stylist also took another client, and later admitted that part of my treatment - which should've been done during the foiling process - was skipped because that client arrived while I was still processing. I requested light brown - caramel highlights, but instead received dark chocolate brown low lights with a blue-black color layered over the top. My scalp is tinted blue and was told that the highlights appeared darker because I was "over-toned". I was also told the color should hopefully wash out over time. I was shown the results outdoors with a hand mirror because the highlights were too hard to see indoors - yet even in sunlight they were barely visible. I asked for a price adjustment, as I was charged $84/hr and the appointment went significantly over the scheduled time. I was also charged an additional $54 for a haircut that took less than 15 min to complete. While I was given the slight adjustment, I still paid $364 in total, even after the adjustment. I still tipped, as the stylist spent a lot of time on my hair and I could tell she was trying to achieve a difficult color correction. I've gone to many stylists over the years and understand the challenge of lifting a box black dye to blonde or even light brown for highlights. I felt she made a strong effort in that regard and wanted to acknowledge the work she put in - even though the end result didn't reflect what I asked for. I was offered a future appointment to correct the highlight color, but was told I'd have to pay another $100+ for the stylists mistake. I've decided to cancel the appointment I'd made for September. I regret booking it in the first place, but I already felt uneasy asking for the price adjustment and didn't want to make things more uncomfortable - especially since they stayed late for the appointment. I would ask for a refund or partial refund, but fear I wouldn't get it as I could hear them whispering when I asked for the price adjustment. Definitely scheduling elsewhere to have what was done to my hair corrected.

As with any professional, it is their obligation to be honest and truthful in their recommendations to clients. Considering we are discussing appearance, it is sometimes difficult to hear what we need to hear, however I can count on them to be honest & strategic in their recommendations, even if it means they will not be performing a particular service because they do not believe the result will uphold their standards. The beauty industry is full of people who will perform any service just to make money and that is not how this company operates. They truly recommend and will only perform services which they truly believe the client will receive a valuable benefit from.

The only one able to do the area. I was very excited. When I got to the Fort Collins office it was closed even though it was only 3:50. Eventually the receptionist came and opened it up. She told me Lindsay would be along any moment and got me settled. When Lindsay finally arrived she was not at all pleasant. I felt like she didn't want to be there. I sat in the chair and she asked me what I was looking to have done. I told her I was there for filler in my eye troughs and my crow's feet and also in the vertical line between my eyebrows. She said no, I won't do the static lines. Only the troughs. Absolutely no explanation as to why. She then asked what I had done with Stacy. I moved my hands to my cheeks with a lifting action and said Stacey and I have been working on placing filler in areas that will give me a natural lift. Before I could finish what I was saying she cut me off and said oh that motion your doing on your face that means you just need to see a plastic surgeon. There's only so much we can do with filler. At this point the wind was out of my sails. I was extremely uncomfortable. Then I asked if the special on the filler was going to be applied. It was $150 off when I made the appointment a month and a half earlier. Lindsay yelled (no I'm not kidding she actually yelled) out of the room to the receptionist in the front of the office to ask. The reply was no. I asked why it wouldn't be applied to my visit and was told it just isn't a special. I then explained that it should be applied because it certainly wasn't my fault she was booked out that far. She just looked at me. So I said I'll have to think about all this and get back to you. Then I left. I was so disappointed. I had been waiting and saving for such a long time. And I rarely get to do much for myself. I still trusted Stacy though and was unaware of the lengths Lindsey would go to to cover her tracks. So when the time came for more filler. I called to make an appointment. Stacy was unavailable for the whole day and now I understand why. When she finally called at the end of the day she said that Lindsay had told her that I was not pleased with Stacy's work so she (Stacy) no longer wanted to work on me. What?! I tried to explain what really happened. And in her defense she did listen to my side. She then told me her schedule was full. I definitely got the impression she didn't want me to come back I decided that if Stacy actually had heard 4 months ago that I was not a happy client why didn't she contact me directly? She chose her employee's lies over what actually happened and now I'm choosing another clinic. I gave 2 stars because before the unprofessionalism that I experienced I had been absolutely pleased with Stacy's work. If you go to Northern Colorado Laser and Skin please do not go anywhere near Lindsay. I no longer feel like I was of any importance to Stacy. She obviously does not take the time to make sure that her clients are happy, with her work or anyone else in her clinics. I usually don't write bad reviews but I'm really shocked by this one. Like seriously, how does a paying client get the shaft over a miserable employee who clearly hates her job?
