Firstly, The pictures posted showing an updated store need to be taken down, this is NOT a remodeled store with fancy beds. That being said, this location has the best people working there. Everyone is nice and personable. Everyone is so patient and allows you to choose the bed you want (same level) if there is a different model bed you like. I'll continue to go here for the convenience of my gym location, but give this one a remodel. Parking note: avoid going here during brunch time. It is the same building structure as First Watch and the parking lot gets packed. Lotion prices: not sure why people complain about this if you haven't done your research. Yes, the prices are ridiculous and outrageous, but it's a good way to make money and to trick newbies into getting fancy lotion. I recommend ordering from an outlet. Here's the thing - every time I come to this location it sucks. This time was probably the worst which is why I'm finally leaving a review. I just waited an hour to get into a tanning bed with zero people in front of me for said bed. It just needed cleaned. There was a newer girl here by herself on a Thursday night? So she barely knew anything and obviously was slower which is why someone else should have been here. Plus she cleaned and helped like 4 people before me when I was here first...? A few other people were complaining too because it was taking forever for her to figure things out. Regardless - I'm over coming to this location. I would like to tell anybody, who considers going to this location - don't. They are lying, making you to pay extra, saying, it will last as long as you go. And then, in a few month, bump, it's expired. It happened to me today. I've been with them for 3 years. In September, they offered me to pay extra $50 to get platinum. They said it will stay with me for as long, as I have my membership, that it is a 1 time fee, and then I will pay same amount monthly. I especially asked, if it will stay with me for as long, as I go. I asked twice. And they said yes. Now, in January, when I came, they not only hesitate to give it to me, they also said that they never charged me for that. When I called later, they said a different story. They said that it expired at the end of December. Also, the girl was talking very unrespectfully. Well, I canceled my membership. Then, same day. I talk to my friend, who was asking me if I knew a good tanning salon. I laughed, and found out, that she was going to the same place. For over 5 years! And canceled just a week ago, due to a very similar situation. She had the most expensive membership for years. But was going there just once a month. So, she has decided to switch and take that deal, where you go 4 times, and the 5th is free. She especially asked, if that offer is ever expired, and they say no. She also asked, if she will have to pay extra fee, when she will decide to come back to her regular membership. And they said, no. Now, she went and py 4 times. But when she came for the 5th, the one which supposed to be free, they said, it's expired! She was angry, but, well. She still needed it, and she decided to go back to her membership. Well, they said, she has to pay fee. Obviously, she left. She did write review there, on paper, or something. Anyway, I think the management in this location is horrible. And the owner, or corporate office (whatever it is) should fire the person, who runs it right now. People will keep leaving. The ones, who hs been there for years! As to me. I am writing here, but I will also do my research and will write to a few more places, as well as will post it on facebook, to make sure, no more people will get scammed by this horrible place. read more

I have been a customer with Palm Beach Tan for many years. This year, I have experienced the worst customer service EVER and to make it worse, it has come from the manager (her name is Missy). Every time I go to tan, she asks if I have lotion (which I'm okay with) but then she spends a good 3 to 5 minutes telling me why my lotion isn't good enough. I can handle that, but then I was one minute early to tan and I told her that I would wait, but would like bed 4. Someone came in after me and keep in mind this was seconds later and she gave the bed I wanted away. I asked her why she did the and I quote she said 'You were a minute early'. She was so nasty when she said it!!! Again, I let it go. The next incident was the last straw!!! One of the other workers was sick and said to the manager that 'I'm sorry but I don't know if I can stay.' The manager yelled at her and said 'I have a business to run and you need to work'. Why did a manager conduct business in front of customers? The young worker was humiliated and I was humiliated for her. This was the biggest waste of money. Not only was the customer service terrible (or even non-existent), but extremely over-priced for what you get. After spending $50 on a lotion that I was told would increase the effectiveness of the tanning spray, I spent another $45 on a machine that literally did nothing. I wore underwear and don't even have a tan line. Bottom line: spend your money on lotion from the drug store or even better, for less than $45, you can have an actual person customize your spray and actually give you information about what to do / how to take care of your tan. I had a terrible experience with this location today. I usually go to the Hyde park location which I love and have had nothing but great customer service and treatment there. At the start of my visit at this location I was giving dirty remarks about buying lotion online, which made me irritated but oh well they're trying to make money. Then the store manager proceeds to tell me that I have a level 1 membership when in fact I have a level two membership and they will not let me tan in the bed that I normally do at Hyde park. After trying to explain to them I settled to tan in their lowest bed because I was out of time and wanted to get something in. After leaving I called the Hyde park location and they verified that I do in fact have a level two membership and wrote a note on my profile that allows me to tan in the bed I always do at Hyde park so that will not happen again if I want to go back. They were confused why the manager would speak to me in such a way and apologized. I am extremely unhappy with the service here. Avoid this location as much as possible. read more

I only give 1 star because 0 isn't an option. Got a one month membership. Went in the day before the cycle renews to cancel it, as I am not a frequent user of tanning beds. I told the employee to close the account, and she acknowledged. 2 months later I notice I have been charged for 2 months of tanning I did not use, nor want. I went in to address this issue and the best they can offer is a refund for one month and an in-store credit for the other because I didn't "sign a form to close my account," and "didn't notice the charges." I think this is absolutely asinine so I call corporate customer service and leave a voicemail PLUS send an email. It took over a week to even get a call back. Then she reiterates the above, tells me there's nothing that can be done, and was extremely rude on the phone. Good job, you just lost a customer with the absolute WORST customer service I have ever experienced. Overpriced to boot!!! read more
