The sweetest, most knowledgable staff! Clean, welcoming environment with amazing tanning bed choices!

My recommendation would be to go somewhere else In the area-as in, not this company or it's affiliates. I had the most frustrating experience when a staff member told me the wrong information-admitted she did so and I was penalized and not issued a refund for the mistake. The manager called me in to issue a "refund" then when I drove there told me "oh it doesn't go back on your card but in your account" then proceeds to call her boss (im assuming the owner?) who said I was paying less but I had already paid $150 that month. I literally had to pull up my mobile banking to show what I had paid because they didn't have it in their system? Proceeded to argue with me -blaming me because "the staff member didn't understand what I was trying to say" when she admitted she told me the wrong thing. I tried to resolve this for TWO WEEKS with no communication back and the managers rebuttals "well I tried to get a hold of you the last three days" I don't think I've ever experienced such a weird, poor, lack of understanding. I don't believe the customer is always right but after paying $100 a month as a diamond member being told my a staff member to downgrade with a "cheat the system" approach to save me money then for that staff member to not own up to her mistake, blame me and have the manager then blame me as well was laughable...and very frustrating. All of this, by the way, for a $50 refund that was owed to me, called me to process, then said "oh actually you owe money" and when I went in to get the refunded what I was told. No research prior or getting all of your ducks in a row before bringing me in and then confusing the situation even more. Now, this location is out of a $100 diamond member and I am on to a new location that is so much cleaner, friendlier and I pay $25-$30 less. Someone below said this is a nickel and dime game and I completely agree. They also took down my number and the "owner/boss" never called me because that's how much they don't care.i then proceeded to cancel my membership that day. Absolutely horrible business, was misinformed about what I was signing up for then was charged an extra month that I didn't want and was told that my options were to basically use the money as store credit or "use the services that i paid for" WHICH ARE SERVICES THAT I DID NOT ASK FOR. They are definitely all about the money and do not care about the guests, I recommend Neon beach or tan city. Only tried Palm beach because I found a coupon and I will never go back. If you do try something with this business I advise you ask for a printed copy of what you're signing up, as well as receipts otherwise they will lie to you and over charge! read more

Yesterday was my first time trying Palm Beach Tan and I went on a referral from a friend. The ladies at the desk were super friendly and gave me a recommendation for what I needed and what would work for my skin tone. They gave me really good instructions on how to get a flawless spray tan with the VersaSpa system, speaking from their own experience. I had a great first experience at Palm Beach Tan. I was treated with courteous and respect and even though I was hesitant to commit to a monthly fee, I realized what a bargain it is given all the sunless tanning you could possibly want every month. It was very easy to receive the sunless tanning spray and I was blown away by my color 4 hours later. It looks very natural and very even. And it only took 60 seconds! I will be back for the remainder of July and August to continue my beautiful shade of tan for the rest of summer. And with spray tanning you avoid the dangerous effects of real sun damage. read more

Palm Beach Tan locations are always amazing. Clean. Amazing beds. And great customer service. However, when I go into this location recently it has become nothing short of high-pressure sales. The new store manager has made visits the same sales pitch. My advice to you, just coming from a sales background - MAKE IT PERSONAL. When I am getting ready to get into my bed, I shouldn't be able to hear the same exact sales pitch that you gave me. I love Palm Beach Tan! Katie and the staff are amazing and such fun! Under previous management I and other clients were pressed to purchase products and when we declined, were treated rudely. The atmosphere seemed oppressive and the staff didn't seem happy to be there. It was palpable. Some clients left but katie has managed to turn PBT into a new and exciting place! They are all knowledgeable about tanning safely and alert me to products and promotions but I don't feel pressure to buy. She and the personnel genuinely happy to be there and the beds are powerful and well maintained. Bravo katie!! If I could give zero stars I would: First off, I was totally shocked by my experience at the Avon, OH PBT location, especially based off of the tremendous experiences I have had at every other location I have been to. I recently joined the PBT team at the new Ridge Road Brooklyn, OH location and have since been to numerous other PBT locations including Lakewood, Parma, Parma Heights, Solon, Strongsville, Medina and locations in Louisville, KY. There were many reasons for my terrible experience, but mainly they all revolved around the completely inappropriate and unprofessional behavior by the Manager of the location, Katie. Prior to going to the Avon location for the first time I heard rumors from other friends who tan with PBT and had confrontational, unprofessional and inappropriate experiences with Katie the "Manager." I put Manager in quotes and italics because I think it is a joke that Katie is given this title - coming from a client service profession where customer service is my number one priority, and holding the title of Manager myself, I know what the responsibilities of a Manager are and I can't believe that someone like her is given the opportunity to hold this position. Mainly, the rumors I heard about Katie were that she was rude, dismissive, unprofessional, inappropriate, used pressure sales tactics, bullied her employees and customers and made customers feel uncomfortable and obligated to make purchases and overall provides poor customer service. I can confirm that all of these qualities of Katie are true and present when she works. On the day of my visit we arrived at approximately 8:30pm (the location closes at 10pm) and were not greeted but walked in to a desk with nobody there and Katie standing outside talking on her phone using vulgar language. After waiting a couple minutes to be served, Katie got our information and did not offer to show us any other beds and bossed us around. She was very rude to her co-worker, and gave bad advice on what bed to use which led me to getting burnt. While waiting Katie had Jimmy Johns delivered and ate her submarine sandwich at the counter while talking with her mouth full to her co-worker about the crazy weekend she had which include conversation about doing drugs, getting high, heroine, drinking alcohol, sexual relationships and other innuendoes. Specifically, she discussed how numerous of her friends died from heroin overdoses and that she watched her friends do heroin over the weekend while she got drunk and high. Furthermore, Katie talked about her first kiss, dating life and sexual partners. Also, Katie created an environment that is clearly hostile and made her younger co-worker feel noticeably uncomfortable. I know this is not the norm for PBT, and Katie is an outlier - because the customer service, enthusiasm and overall caring attitude from all other Managers at the other locations has been highly commendable. It boggles my mind how people like Katie hold a job and are afforded the opportunity to manage such a reputable business with the awful attitude, poor management skills and overall inability to act in a professional mature manner. I had a very negative experience here. I got a rash from one of the beds, attitude from who I presume is the manager, and only ever hear negative feedback from employees and other friends that I've had tan there. I will not be coming back until the place gets cleaner and employees carry themselves with more respect. read more

Their beds are very nice and high power, you will get an amazing tan, even their basic beds are amazing! Very friendly knowledgable staff, But they are to high pressure to buy products like lotion, I get asked almost every time i tan, its uncomfortable! They are clearly told by their manager to sell sell sell, when i wait for a bed, they ask almost everyone who signs in to tan to buy something, this is the ONLY thing i hate about tanning here, i feel im obligated to buy something everytime, but they are very clean and nice, im someone who can really only buy something when im almost out of my current lotion, i just am giving my opinion from the customers point of view, im sorry read more
