This was the worst rental experience I have ever had. Trent and Steve are both completely unprofessional. It is impossible to get a hold of anyone when you need to. I was asked to leave a $350 deposit and was never explained the move out policy. I paid my last months rent and expected my $350 deposit in return, which I believe is a common rental policy. When I called Steve to clear up the confusion, instead of explaining the policy calmly, he yells and insults me. I have never had a landlord call me a stupid bitch but in this case I was completely disrespected without reason. This is by far the worst place to ever rent at. Oh and the free wifi that is supposed to be a part of the package is constantly turned off, could it be that that very responsible manager is always too busy to pay it?

First and foremost, the studio itself was top-notch. They have an amazing amount of options of microphones to choose from, I went with a Sennheiser 416. Additionally, the studio's acoustics were excellent, providing a clean and crisp sound without any unwanted background noise, we used studio A mostly. The entire recording process was enjoyable and stress-free, I was there a lot so that's saying something- Overall I can't recomend them enough. If you're looking for a recording studio that will deliver then make sure you work with them.

Tightrope Recording, and their owner Max, did not live up to their promises. They promised a great…read morerecording and finished mixes for one price of $1500. They did a great job recording, but sent us home with only the rough cut, and no finished mixes. They claimed that it took a lot of effort to set up for a multi-instrument band and they had to bring in extra help, thus extra cost. They had no more money or time to finish the mixes. Max had the audacity to say that each song would be at least another $350 to finish, even though he promised us finished mixes when we spoke on the phone. I feel that this was unscrupulous practice. Make sure you get your promises in writing from Max, or he may just try to swindle you.

I've been taking singing lessons for the past 6 weeks and Robert is great. I have never sang in my…read moreentire life (well not in anyway that i thought sounded like singing)- and he has been incredibly confident, kind, and unbelievably knowledgeable in helping me understand where my blocks are (self confidence, sigh) and teaching me that - actually- I CAN sing. My singing lessons thus far have been 1 part knowledge about how the voice works, 1 part practicing technique (and we are starting at the step 1 that is for sure), and 1 part therapy. I am genuinely in awe watching and listening to him do his job. I feel very lucky that I found him as my voice teacher (incredibly enough he was the only voice teacher i found on yelp that actually called me back- it seems it was meant to be). What is particularly cool is that he records all our sessions and then sends them that week for me to practice with over the following weeks and months. Also he makes pretty incredible (albeit interesting) suggestions on how to move through certain blocks (ie go to a shooting range to open my root chakra - which i am fully planning on doing - even as i HATE guns). he just has the knowledge and experience it takes to really make this possible for me- which is really exciting. i couldn't recommend a voice teacher more.
