The rooms are simple but very clean. Very comfortable bed with amenities. It's a family ran business. What one of the owners told me they view this as their house and everyone that stays with them is their guest. They need to teach at course or hospitality cuz these lovely people are exemplary in hospitality. Looking forward to staying here again. This is my favorite hotel on the Eastern Sierra's hands down. There's no way we could have made it through the night. It was dirty, old, dilapidated and probably shouldn't be rented out. When I checked in, I was greeted with bottled water, fruit, and cookies, such a kind welcome after a long day. There are also cute patios with hanging lights where you can sit and eat takeout, and there's even a homemade ice cream shop right next door with a really vibey outdoor patio. One of the owners mentioned a nearby trail just behind the motel, and I'm so glad I listened. I ended up walking through the beautiful Mary DeDecker native plant garden alongside a babbling creek with little bridges and an incredible sunset view over the mountain ridge. Each room has it's own entrance from the parking area with assigned parking close to the room. Our Queen bed room included a small table and two side chairs. Table could be used for dining or as a desk. Plenty of plugs bedside. Large TV, large dresser and closet with iron/board. No luggage rack, but a padded bench at the foot of the bed would work. Room is 'tight' so not really room for open luggage in general. The bed was very comfortable with nice linens and a variety of pillows. The heating/cooling worked quite well without a lot of noise. Floors are carpeted. Room had a small fridge with the coffee maker and ice bucket in the bathroom. Multi-use products in shower and by sink. Hot water was quick. Everything worked. Bathroom was clean. Towels were older, but clean and in good repair. The ice machine is in guest laundry on the far right side (away from the office side) of the complex. Two dollars per wash and two dollars per dry. Soap dispenser and beverage vending here as well. The outdoor pool is large with plenty of lounge chairs and seats. Some in the shade. The area is kept clean and tidy. A grassy area by the office has tables and chairs for all guests to enjoy. Breakfast daily 6am-9am off the lobby. Buffet includes hot foods, toaster items, cold cereal, coffee and juice. A staff member is available to keep items stocked and the space tidy. The lobby has a small seating area and market place.
