If they taught me how to drive, me who is a very anxious person who has previously crashed my bf car while he attempt to teach me how to drive.. they can teach anybody ! My driver instructor Jason was extremely patient with me and really focus on only giving me encouraging words even when we both knew I was making a lot of mistakes, also met the owner because he took me to my driving test and he was also very nice and knowledgeable! I started my 10 hrs packet with 0 experience and ended with a driving license and the confidence to drive by myself! Before I hired this company to teach my daughter to drive, I did my research & read the reviews; only 2 were not good, but that was 5 years ago. Since a friend gave me a good referral stating they were professional I gave them a try. I am VERY happy I did! It was a positive experience for my daughter, she enjoyed the lessons & the instructors were professional. They were efficient, on time, honored each appointment and in the end took her for the driving test, which helps parents such as myself that get nervous! I am so happy I found this place!! I always go on yelp for reviews and definitely did not disappointed me this time!! Daniel and Daniela make you feel so comfortable right away. I was very tensed and scared at the beginning but somehow it all went away on my first class. On my first day I went on the highway and I was comfortable!! On my last class I took the driving test and guess what?! I passed!!! All of that in less than a week I am so happy will definitely recommend this place to anyone that needs help driving. I really recommend Palermo Driving School. I started classes with another school and I had a lot of problems with the instructor: - problems to schedule the classes, - cancellations - late arrivals. When I changed to Palermo Driving School, I was happily surprised by the professionalism of Daniel & Daniela. They have always called 30 minutes before the class to confirm, there were no problems to fix the appointments and they have never arrived late. I would not trust this company to teach my child to drive. Not only would I not trust the drivers education, but the customer service by the management is awful! I was driving in Davie this afternoon and was cut off in the middle of an intersection by a Palermo Driving School car. When I honked my horn to alert the driver, he proceeded to brake check me (still in the middle of the lane). Changing lanes in an intersection is not only illegal but very dangerous. The car then drove well under the speed limit. While driving behind him, I called the drivers school and asked to speak with a manager. When I explained the incident, the manager asked me rudely "HOW OLD ARE YOU?" Rather than thanking me for my report of the incident, he proceeded to tell me how professional his company and drivers are. Again, I would not recommend this company and hope that the driver, who was an older gentlemen, will not put anyone else's lives at risk on the road. read more

Horrible experience. They are just out there to get money. Not only did they manage our scheduled lessons horribly, by not showing up a couple of times when my daughter and I clearly called for a lesson. At one point meanwhile Daniella I think it was, was giving my daughter a lesson while driving she made a mistake and Daniella flicked her...totally unacceptable, extremely unprofessional. They teach on one car (which is a terrible car, the brakes screech and in order for them to actually make a complete stop you have to stomp all the way) and on the day of the test they will take you on another car. My daughter was picked up in a car that she never got to drive before even though they said they would bring it on the previous lesson before the day of the test and so my daughter later asked why they didn't take her before and Daniella responded by saying "Always a problem with the car?!" imagine that, how horrible an hour before the test and they are treating you like that, the customer is always right. When they got to the DMV the car had a disfunction with a headlight which is needed to function in order to take the test, so then the owner somehow manages to get a car from a different driving school and rushes my daughter (making her very nervous) to get in right after another test taker leaves while the DMV personnel is inside since they won't check that cars light which also happened to stop working. I hope anyone that is planning to go to Palermo Driving school gets to read all the reviews and doesn't make a mistake to pick them since they are the closest in the area like we did. read more
