I told her there are times when my child is not breathing properly so I think it is very important when she suddenly yells "THEN GO TO ANOTHER DOCTOR". I have been nothing but polite to her so it was very sudden. My child gets scared so we just immediately leave. I am thinking of suing her because refusing help is negligence but then to tell your patient to go to another office just because THEY WANTED HELP is wrong.

The previous doctors had me on a diet of practically nothing but grass, plus strong statins for 3 years. After all that the triglycerides, HDL and LDL could not be balanced (one will improve at the expense of the other).Dr. Patel right away diagnosed the issue, and put me Advicor (much milder medicine, with no statins), plus got rid of the unsustainable diet-restriction, asking to "live normal life, eating with common-sense and moderation." Just 8 months into the treatment ALL my triglyceride, HDL & HDL became better than normal, all the while eating normal food and finally enjoying life. It's been 3 years since then, and I am still in normal range! Dr. Patel takes the time to ask detailed questions to come up with holistic diagnosis. Case and point was how he diagnosed my chronic skin rash issue. He correctly diagnosed that no medicine was needed, just change the laundry detergent! One more thing that I really appreciate is his availability to answer questions by emails. His office also takes prescription refill request for the maintenance medicines by email, a major convenience.

During my first appointment, instead of taking the time to review my medical history and understand the reason for my visit, he told me that he did not have much time because he had other patients to see. This was despite the fact that he had said the appointment was scheduled for 30 minutes. He left after only about 9 minutes. When I tried to explain the reason for my problem, he gave me very brief and dismissive answers, repeatedly saying that it was "normal," without taking the time to properly evaluate or explain the situation. His helper was also very rude and unpleasant. Overall, I felt that my concerns were not taken seriously and that I was rushed through the appointment. I would not recommend this doctor based on my experience.

Dr. Talya's office staff have a strong sense of communication and will call back every time we have a question, and followed up for nearly 2 weeks when our insurance was giving us the run around.
