I came here to give my review of PAL Clinic and PAL Academy and I was floored to say the least at a previous review. My son is on his second year at PAL. When he first stepped into the building he was a little boy with low self esteem and a shattered outlook for the future. He trusted no one. He left kindergarten at public school not able to read or write. He lacked communication skills and as parents we knew we needed outside help. PAL welcomed us not as customers but more like family. Today I see my son as a bright little boy who can not only read and write but one who loves to learn. He enjoys doing homework and loves to research new things. PAL's approach to learning is planned to fit each child's needs. So no child is behind and left feeling frustrated. It is a joy to see the other children blossom as well. Like I said PAL is like a family and I can honestly say that of all the other schools we have looked into, none of them left us with a feeling like we really mattered except PAL. No place is perfect, so I am not saying that everything is 100% perfect. What I can say is how they handle those days that things don't go well. I am not saying what staff have said, the best source is my child. I can honestly say that I have borrowed some of the ideas that they have in place at PAL. My only regret is that I didn't find them a year sooner. They took the time to undo all the damage that occurred with public school. It's not a quick process and you won't see results overnight. Like all things in life, they take time and our children are worth us investing that time. Patricia LaBella, or as we call her "Ms Patty" is like a second mother to our son. She has a heart of gold and the children feel that. We as a family feel that too. read more
