Here are the items that I ordered: half n half, salmon cake, western fries, chicken tenders, yams, mac and cheese, potato salad, collard greens, and yellow cake. I really wanted a fish on a bun too, but they don't have cheese so I skipped that item. Items I would definitely order again: half n half, chicken tenders, collard greens, mac n cheese and yellow cake. Beverage was not too sweet so I liked it. Tenders were perfectly seasoned. The greens and mac were good compared to the other sides. Item I would possibly order again if they do not have the items above: western fries. The other items I would not order again because it was not made to my liking. You can tell all items are homemade and fresh, made to order which I appreciated. I just like candied yams to be sweet and syrupy (not a word lol but some will know what I mean, that momma's thanksgiving dish) and I prefer yellow potato salad (more mustard and pickled some). I did not like the salmon cake. I will return. Support black owned

Danny's has been a part of my Chinese food eating experience for well over 40 years. I went past it…read morea couple of times over the last year and thought it had finally closed its doors. Was I glad to hear that it had reopened, I just hoped that the food still tasted as I had remembered. Just a note for any newbies interested in visiting Danny's; this is the type of neighborhood most folks would want to visit during the day. Also, place your order over phone and have your money in hand as you go to pick it up. There is limited parking in the area as well so try to time your arrival for as close to whenever your food will be ready. Danny's is a true carry-out: no place to eat inside, just to stand and pay for your food and go. There is a plexiglass enclosed counter with, as best as I can describe, a cutout for you to place your money it and the person on the other side of the counter can grab it, without being exposed to whoever is on the other side paying and give you your order...I hope you can visualize that... We ordered the shrimp egg rolls, beef yak kaw mein, shrimp fried rice, and shrimp egg foo yung. When we arrived, the ambiance may be one of caution, especially if you are new or not familiar with the area. When we exited the car and got to the counter, our order was ready. We hustled out of there and headed home. Do as mentioned above and you will be fine. Beef Yak: The same great taste. Udon noodles in a dark soy sauce with sautéed pieces of tender beef and white onion and a boiled egg, classic. Now some might say that it's greasy, but it's Danny, and iykyk.... Shrimp fried rice: white rice fried in a dark soy sauce with shrimp and bean sprouts. Not greasy at all. One of my faves as well. There was no scrambled egg or veggies included (most true Baltimore Chinese food carry-outs don't put veggies in the fried rice). You can request egg, but it will probably be an additional cost. Shrimp egg foo yung: Two egg patties with shrimp and onion covered with a brown gravy and served with an order of white rice. Another fav. Mix the white rice and patty/gravy together to enjoy this dish. Shrimp egg roll: Not my favorite. Some spots are know for their shrimp egg rolls and Danny's just isn't one of them. I had high hopes since it reopened, but alas, it was not to be... All in all, still a great Chinese food carryout even after all these years.

I also had the shrimp fried rice, if you want light skinned rice this isn't what ur gonna get it's supposed to be dark idk why but it is and it's good just eat it. It's gonna be lots of people standing around outside you're in the heart of the city go on and get ur food- idk maybe call ahead. I didn't go and probably won't lol but proceed with caution if you aren't from this neighborhood. Now I need some beef yak I didn't get that but you should might as well get all the delights if you gonna do it. This is carry out only!

Real chicken? Check. Fresh chicken? Check…read more Never frozen? Check. Made to order? Check. After ordering some wings (honey garlic, Asian go, Thai chili, BBQ and honey old bay) and a few cheese steaks, all I did was imagine myself swallowing them whole. #pause I was starving and I decided to check out some random joint nearby and found this place. By the Grace of GOD and His blessing, I have found a place that serves some good, home cooked food! Except their cheese steaks.... Unless you put some of their signature Mambo sauce which raises the score from 4/10 to 6/10. Yeah, 6/10 still isn't great, but it hits the spot. You need to go there for their chicken. It doesn't matter what kind of chicken because all of their chicken is on fire. And they have Belgian waffles too??? What?! Oh did I mention they have a phone repair shop? And that the guy there has over 10 years of experience working on phones and used to work at a place called "We fix it all" up on Greenmount Ave? Now he has his own place there and though I've never had to get my phone fixed (yet), I can imagine you waiting for your hot, fresh wings while getting your phone repaired simultaneously. I mean, why not? I'm going to assume that more than half of America (170 million?) has either an iPhone or Galaxy and the majority of Americans like/love chicken wings so... Why not? lol. Out of all the flavors I got there, I would say the Thai chili and honey old bay were my favorites and the BBQ was my least favorite. It was good, but it's just BBQ ya know? This place is a solid 4 stars, but considering its location and how fresh their chicken is, I'm bumping it up to 5. This place is second to 1 in Baltimore.
