Sure, we have Kebab, Donair, and Shawarma places in most cities but they just aren't the same kind of fast food heaven that Europeans are blessed with. Lisbon's Palacio do Kebab was amongst the top of the many kebab spots I visited on my recent trip to Portugal and Spain. The meat was cooked right, the wrap was grilled, the veggies fresh, and the perfect quantity of sauce. The service was outstanding. One of the staff was asking us and any other tourists where they were from with genuine interest. One stand out was that the hot sauce is actually spicy! Got to love when hot sauce is actually hot. My mouth was on fire and I loved it. Lastly, the price was right. Not the cheapest I've seen but pretty close. Good value any time of day or night.

While I was here, the guy suggested an order of bacalhau fritters. As you may or may not know, bacalhau is known as one of Lisbon's many traditional foods.
