Again, when we went it wasn't happening. They offer 2 for 1 drinks Thursday through Saturday for after work hours. Again, it wasn't the same time we went. So, the possibilities here are abound. I had seafood and it was great. The salad I had with my salmon was great, the veggies not so much. The grilled pepper and shrimp was really good. My husband had the Asian food and his soup was way too salty. My son had the spaghetti bolognese and he liked it, but I tried and not so much. He liked it, so whatever. We had a sangria that was sooooo good. I am obsessed with the sangria's here. The inside seating was rather hot so we went outside and it was nicer, but we felt the music was rather loud. I came back here at least 2-3 times because it was a unique and interesting experience. The ginjinha is sweet and syrupy, but not too sweet like other places I've tried. It's also right next door to my favorite pastel de nata store, Nata Portuguesa, so I could get both fixes in one trip. Most people recommend the ginjinha with the cherry but I prefer it without. The drink is filled to the brim and I have shaky hands so it would get sticky and messy sometimes. But the store is prepared and has a little sink inside on the right to rinse off.

Jamie was rather hesitant, but I just showed my typical insolence and walked up to the proprietor behind the counter. He was already in mid-pour, and I actually remembered to say "com elas" to indicate we wanted cherries in our drinks. They were only 1,50€ per cup (Photo 8). We sipped them in seconds. We had stopped by this location a few days before and Sophia warmly introduced herself and made us feel welcome. We had such a positive interaction with Sophia that we came back to see Sophia and taste some wines and fortified wines. Sophia was extremely knowledgeable and curated a delightful wine tasting experience for us both. We were extremely impressed by her extensive historical knowledge of Portuguese wine and wine makers. Her professionalism and expertise allowed us to experience and taste some of the best wines this country has to offer. We even ended up purchasing our new favorite Vintage port made by Vallado.
